Simon Pearce RestaurantFantastic from start to finishQuite simply, an amazing meal, gorgeous view, excellent service and delightful experience. I will drive back there from CT for the cheddar soup alone!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMLove everything about SimonLove everything about Simon Pearce and the restaurant did not disappoint.
Visited a week ago with friends from British Columbia. Delish food, wonderful wines and a charming server.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was creative and delicious,Food was creative and delicious, the riverside view was beautiful, the staff friendly and attentive without being cloying or patronizing.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experienceGreat food, service and wine selection. Expensive, but totally justified.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMNice place to eat in that areaWe had reservations with a request to be seated near the window overlooking the waterfall. Unfortunately, we arrived late and had to sit along their river view instead. The food and service was very good. Waiting time was average for service. Varied selections on the menu. We would go back again.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful wine-tasting and dinner! My companion and I enjoyed a lovely dinner and wine-tasting event at Simon Pearce. The wines were paired beautifully with the small bites; atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back again.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat setting, wonderful viewSitting on the deck overhanging the river -- on a sunny day -- is a spectactular setting to dine -- any time to the day or evening.
The food was superior and the service -- with a smile -- was quite good.
The desserts are wonderfu.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFine Dining in a relaxed atmosphereSimon Pearce offers a fine dining experience with outstanding service. The food is well prepared and portioned, the menu diverse, and the entire experience has you wishing for a quick return. The cheddar soup is amazing - I get it whenever it's available. I have eaten here many times, and never been disappointed. After you eat, stroll through the retail store and go downstairs to see glass blowers at work!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreeted and seated promptlyGreeted and seated promptly wait staff was very attentive and knowledgeable, full bar and extensive wine list, great ambiance, the meal was served at a very comfortable pace and our server Stephanie went the extra distance to meet all of our needs. The food was EXCELLENT! Every aspect was perfectly prepared. Desserts were exquisite and complimented each other nicely for sharing. We never felt rushed or ignored and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Memorable and well worth every penny. Can't wait to return.
Enough said!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMmemoreableit was just a complete incredible experience form the food to the decor to the service to the setting a must. I highly suggest it.
It is a very unique setting but the food is a as good as the location. The wine is also great with many wine by the glass5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat foodThe food at Simon pierce keeps getting better and better. Its probably on my top 3 favorite restaurants in VT/NH5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth the driveEating at Simon Pearce is becoming a tradition when we visit our son at Dartmouth. The food never disappoints and the service is amazing!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful experienceThe ambiance was wonderful--we went on a busy night so we weren't able to get a scenic table next to the waterfall, so definitely make reservations if you want to enjoy the natural setting. The cheese platter was delicious and the rack of lamb was exquisitely cooked.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome PlaceThis is the second time I've been to Simon Pearce (from a long way away). It's well worth a visit as the restaurant is outstanding and the glass/pottery shop is excellent.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMspecial occasionWe were very pleased to have celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary here, with our 3 and 5 year olds. The staff were accommodating, the food excellent, and ambiance was unpretentious and lovely. Our waitress surprised us with a complimentary dessert in celebration. Our kids were welcome and content this evening, and we all had a great time. We will certainly be back.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good restaurant. We wentVery good restaurant. We went for VT restaurant week so menu was smaller. We both had the duckling and it was amazing. I had the apple cake as dessert and my friend had the creme brûlée. Both deserts were excellent. The only things I would regret is that it is noisy and that it is a little too fast for the food quality. I like to take my time between courses. Very pricey but great for special occasions. And food quality makes it worth it4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother great dinner at SimonAnother great dinner at Simon Pierce! Andrew (our waiter) as usual, went above and beyond and made the meal that much more enjoyable. Loved it!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMCheddar soup yes, pork NO!Vermont Cheddar Soup always a winner! While generally an outstanding food experience, this one was not as memorable. The pork tenderloin choice I would not recommend. It was described as coming with roast Yukon gold potatoes and other things that sounded yummy.
Not only was it not hot, the potato, not potatoes presentation, were 4 or 5 thinly sliced pieces (more garnish size) of potato, on a bed of cold sour cream. What it produced was a room temperature concoction of not so interesting flavors with sliced overcooked tenderloin of pork. Maybe I'm old school, but room temperature just makes me want to scream...4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMSimon Pearce has a challengingSimon Pearce has a challenging reputation to live up to - one always expects the "wow"! Somehow, they manage to deliver every time. We go in with very high expectations and leave very pleased with our decision to dine there. What a wonderful evening, from the fantastic view, superb service and food that is as good as anywhere we have ever eaten.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner at Simon Pearce. As always, Simon Pearce was fantastic. I went with my daughter (a Dartmouth student) and two of her friends. Everything was excellent. The service was attentive without feeling rushed.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMOverlooking the waterfall,Overlooking the waterfall, we had the best table, right in the corner. The duck was the best I've ever tasted (and I was jealous of my boyfriend because it was his meal). Great place. Plus, make time to watch the actual glassblowing downstairs from the gift shop.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent for Upper ValleyExcellent for Upper Valley especially for a romantic dinner or special occasions. Prices are high for the area in general but you get more than the usual local restaurants. Very good wine list. Food 4 out of 5. Service pleasant and efficient. Setting was glorious. Overall an enjoyable evening with no great issues.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMperfect in every way + ce;ebratedperfect in every way

thanks4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth every penny! My husband and I decided on Simon Pearce because I hadn't been there since college and we were celebrating both our birthdays.
The experience did not disappoint. My husband is a VERY picky eater and I'm a bit more adventurous but we were both able to choose great meals that satisfied. I recommend this restaurant to anyone. My only advice is to make sure you are prepared for the cost. Check the menu online. It's not cheap but it's worth it!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA splendid anniversary dinner.A splendid anniversary dinner. Attentive service, wonderful food, perfect wine pairings. Couldn't ask for anything more as the sun set over the waterfall.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely Easter BrunchWe had a marvelous Easter brunch at Simon Pearce. Don't know how it could possibly improve---just wonderful!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent choice! One of my three favorite restaurants north of Boston! Excellent all around.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is always excellentThe food is always excellent as is the service. Recommended wines are delightful. Not a place for small children. Nice view of the river and outdoors but not one to take your breath away. Great for special occasions.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMYet another Simon Pearce SuccessWe have chosen Simon Pearce Restaurant for Mother's Day and other special occasions for the past three years. We cannot say enough about the gracious maitre staff and servers. This year, Easter proved exceptional. Despite having made a last-minute reservation, we received a prime table by the window overlooking the waterfall. We also celebrated a birthday, which our server helped us do with joy, tempered with decorum. The food proved magnificent, a triumph of spring's early bounty (lamb) coupling with the last of winter's comfort foods, such as sage bread pudding. The carrot cake whoopie pie, complete with a lovely peacock-hued candle, proved spicy, rich and satisfying, without a hint of excessive sweetening.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Easter Dinner ExperienceEnjoyed a fabulous Easter dinner here with our party of 5. The food and service were perfection, the chairs were not very comfortable however. At least five times the servers went between our table and the next excusing themselves so that they could reach the air conditioner turning it up or down. There were several large parties of elderly people so perhaps they were cold and they were accommodating them. This would not, however, stop us from returning for another special occasion dinner.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMOverlooking Quechee falls.Overlooking the falls at Quechee Village. Fine glassware everywhere.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have been going to SimonWe have been going to Simon Pearce for 20 years and love the place. We were quite disappointed with the new menu. The food is great but it is so limited now. There are literally 5 or 6 entree choices with no specials. Two of the choices were on the menu 20 years ago. The waitress said it was a brand new menu. Oh, and the pricing is a little out of control. It has become too expensive for us, even on special occasions.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best. Always deliversOne of the best. Always delivers for us and is a must go if the timing is right when in Vermont. Great for special occasions.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA lovely evening, perfectA lovely evening, perfect spot for a business dinner, outstanding food and service3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of Vermont's gems!Perfect in every way! We are in the food industry so we tend to be a bit particular about dining out. Even if you have to go out of your way to get there, it's worth it. You won't be disappointed!2/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThank Goodness the Bridge is Fixed! We have eaten here MANY times for lunch, yet this was our first opportunity to stop for dinner. This is much easier now that the covered bridge ruined in Irene is open again. The wines are carefully chosen, and the ingredients are fresh, local, and thoughtfully prepared. The only minor criticism that I have (and it is minor) is the the entrees had a little too much sauce on them. The lamb chops and duck were excellent--and did not need to be oversauced. The ingredients are such high quality they "sing" better on their own.1/23/2013 12:00:00 AMSimon Pearce was a romanticSimon Pearce was a romantic New England experience. It sits above a water mill which adds to the peaceful and bucolic atmosphere. Before sitting down for your meal you can watch the incredible artists of Simon Pearce blow the beautiful glass items sold in their stores. The food was exceptional and the service was attentive and polite.11/10/2012 12:00:00 AM
