The service was good, but not excellent this time. The view can't be beat! Overall this is one of my favorites in Anchorage. Two entrees, one salad, one appetizer and a side of Mac and cheese = $89. The price isn't bad considering the great food and view, but too much for us to eat there often. Great choices for both children and adults, excellent and very accommodating service, and of course, fantastic food! Simon and Seaforts has always been a go-to place for date night for hubby and I, whether its a table with a view or happy hour in the bar, but now I'm even more thrilled with the experience of dining there with my kids. The service this time at the restaurant for brunch wasn't as good as the service we've received in the past for dinner. Food would have received a 5 star rating except I had to send back my Vanilla Burnt Cream (Creme Brûlée) because it wasn't cooked all the way...the replacement was excellent tho! I requested a view table and we were given a great table. Then the Maytag blue cheese salad and prime rib.......which was outstanding! My husband and I are elderly, so we shared everything. Still took home some of the prime rib. It was a wonderful, Sunday dinner. And we enjoyed every bite. Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, visits by family and friends. In other words, this place has been special to our family for some time.
Wish that they could find a way to make the place less noisy. This is my only criticism, way way too loud. Last couple of times couldn't talk without getting loud ourselves. There are places in this town that are quiet enough to have a chat with friends. Perhaps that is where we should go from now on, because dinner to us is more than a fine dish and courteous wait people. It is a pleasant chat with friends and family. The service was good and so was the food, but it took forever for us to get our food and the restaurant was only 1/2 full. One of the people in our party had to get their food and leave it was so late. We like to come there, but cannot in the future if it will take so long.

I thought the menu offered a multitude of choices and the fresh seafood was outstanding, Halibut Cheeks! Still miss the fried zucchini though. The bar area could use some updating. Pricing is comparable to other restaurants in Anchorage, it's high, but it is what it is.

Busing table staff were right on for taking away dishes and refilling water, etc. Manager visited table and was courteous. The only complaint really is how loud it got once the tables filled up around dinner time. Too bad the noise can't be reduced. Otherwise, great staff and fantastic food!
