  • "We always enjoy our visit to Simms. On your birthday they print your name on your menu."

  • "The dinner was fantastic and the service was excellent. This was not my first time at this restaurant and I can honestly say that I have always had a great experience. My date had never been there before and she was greatly impressed. I highly recommend this restaurant for romantically involved couples as a special place to enjoy a great dinner."

  • "I received a gift certificate for Simms Steakhouse from a client and decided to use it for an anniversary with my boyfriend. We normally don't spend $150 on dinner, even for special occasions, but I have to say that Simms Steakhouse exceeded our expectations and it was worth it. We are talking about going again when we have another special occasion. We loved the appetizer suggested (special tempura shrimp), the soups )lobster bisque and a special clam chowder) and the steaks were phenomenal. I'd highly recommend it for a special occasion."

  • "Prime rib was fatty and tough, lobster was cold and not sweet as presented. Overpriced and won't return. Don't mind paying the price when the food is good."

  • "The dinner was good, not great. My wife had the special which again was good but not great. The very high price for her dinner pretty much ruined the rest of the experience. Note no specific recommendation."

  • "Terrible. We had need there severeaal other times and enjoyed it. The menu had been changed along with the quality. Ordered augratin potatoes and the had processed cheese on top!! Took forever for our food and to get the bill to pay an a lot for poor service and food. The manager called and offered us a free app. When we come back! Ha,how generous! Not going back"

  • "Great views. Server was friendly but food service was a slow. Prices were very high for the quality."

  • "Wait staff slow and unfriendly and not helpful . Our drink spilled they didn't even offer a napkin ... Food was so salty could hardly eat it"
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "I remember when this was Simms Landing, and am happy to report that, despite the years, it is still a great destination. Obviously, the view from up there is extraordinary. Fortunately, the beef and tuna were, too."

  • "The buffet: Bacon the consistency of potato chips. Sausage patties bland and greasy. Potatoes dried out. The roast was very tasty and very tough. All I could taste of the overcooked salmon was Greek Oregano, and the ham was cloyingly sweet. The staff: the hostesses condescended to seat us, and the few times we actually saw the waiter, he was equally aloof. It was almost the end of the meal before I got a second cup of coffee. Overall, a dismal dining experience."

  • "Everything was great! But, I ate too much. Our waitress was outstanding!"

  • "Servers need to know who gets what when they get to table, asking not classy! Steaks were good, salads excellent. The aspargus my husband got was not cooked. Then, a maitre di came around and asked so we told him about aspargus, no offer to deduct from bill, then not 2 minutes later another maitre di came and asked same question!!! We laughed. Both didn't know how to dress and since we wern't at McDonald's, lose the tattoos!!"

  • "The service at Simms was pretty bad. For a steak house I expected more from the staff. You know, fill up empty water glasses, bring some plates with the appetizers, bring steak knives with the actual steak. Maybe have some clean tables or placemats."

  • "We live in Steamboat and were planning to go to Redrocks on Saturday night. My husband had heard of Simms so we wanted to try it on the Friday before. What a great experience. The staff were attentive and the food was excellent. High recommend this restaurant. Would love to check the bar out in the winter."

  • "Both our steaks were over cooked. Creamed spinach and potatoes au gratin were way over salted. Manager apologized for burnt steaks and said he would comp us 2 desserts but must have forgotten because they were still on our check. Dinner was concluded with waiter trying to hard sell us on a Landry's frequent diner club. Ugh"

  • "We went to Simms while visiting our kids in Denver. They said they had always wanted to go there. I easily made a reservation online. The food was excellent. The wine and drinks were great. There was a thunderstorm going through the area that we had an amazing view of, including a rainbow. It was a memorable experience. We will definitely be back"

  • "The smoked cheddar macaroni and cheese, and the bread souffle with cinnamon butter are excellent! Allergy-friendly."

  • "My mother-in-law took my husband and me to Simms to celebrate our anniversary. It was a great choice! The service was excellent and you can't beat the view. Being that this is a steakhouse, be sure to order steak. I went with a fish entree and was quite jealous of the two steaks on the table. The fish was fine, but it was obvious that steak is definitely their specialty. Overall, great experience and we'll be back!"

  • "I went to Simms Steakhouse for my birthday on Tuesday and I have to say that I probably would NOT go back. It is WAY over rated! The food was ok and not worth the price. I dont even think I would tell a friend to go."

  • "This was one of the best dinners I've ever had. The bone-in, grass fed filet special was supurb as well as the lobster tail. Great service and views."
    Dined on 6/6/2014
  • "We really wanted a special dinner for our 25th anniversary! The entire meal was luke warm. The market priced bone-in rib steak was tough, not prime cut. The pepper sauce recommended with the steak was similar to packaged brown gravy, no pepper flavor at all. Don't get me started on the cold mashed potatoes. The lobster was undercooked and cold. My beet salad was missing macadamia nuts listed on the description. After spending $240 for the two of us, the meal was a bummer. We should have had a glass of wine and the yummy rolls and left! Back to Morton's next time, their food and service is top notch. "

  • "Food was comparable to that served when the restaurant was Simms Landing. The prime rib and filet mignon were good. The potatoes, mushrooms, salad, and lobster bisque were also good. The Buffalo Tartare was tasty but tough and in some cases not chewable. The asparagus stalks were tough and probably should have been cut off before serving. We found the food generally good but overpriced. We actually found it a step down from the former Simms Landing. We do not plan to dine here again."

  • "we went to the restaurant with my mother who is 92 yrs old.our waiter angel was just that an angel.he was great ,very personable.the food was all very good.the only problem was my moms dish was supposed to arrive with a broth to be poured on at the table. the young man gave her the dish without the broth.then gave me some sauce but did not know what it was for.i had to figure it outand relized it was for her . by that time her desire for the dish had faded away. also her cappicino was given to the lady at the next table.who seemed very excited that it was free . I tried to tel the other waiter that it must be hers. but he ignored me."

  • "The bone-in filet was $65.00 for a 14oz. cut. The steak should It have been priced t $28.00. max! It was absolutely on par with something you might get at Outback Steakhouse. For $65.00 you think you might get a side or two included... wrong! $8.00 for mashed potatoes, $9.00 for asparagus. I will NOT be returning. The Fort or 240 Union is 3 times the value for 1/2 the price."

  • "Simms has been a favorite place for a while, and it is a consistent perfect experience. The service has always been excellent, some of the best steaks we have had, and the staff always excels at making it the best dining experience possible. Would highly recommend to anyone. "

  • "We held our technical group meeting at Simms. There were a total of six of us and the service was outstanding. The food was pretty good too. We will be back when we are next in town."

  • "Just love Simms....the view is over the top, the wait staff is excellent and the food delicious. Can't wait for another occasion to go back!"

  • "We've been 4 times since the change from Simms Landing to Simms Steakhouse. The steak dishes are fantastic, but the seafood and chicken dishes are just okay. When you consider the high price, that's not really acceptable. Monday night, we weren't in the mood for steak since we had it Friday & ribs over the weekend, so we looked at other options. I ordered Paella & my wife ordered Mahi Mahi. My Paella was very tasty, but not what one would expect when ordering it. There were 2 tiny clams (dime size), 2 small & overcooked shrimp, and 2 scallops. The rice underneath was no more than 1 Cup and not the traditional saffron rice, thus the dish was not very filling. The Mahi came with lots of veggies, but was overdone as was the lobster topping."

  • "Wonderful ambience, great service, awesome food. I told some friends about the makeover (since it was Simms Landing) and we are planning an evening out at Simms Steakhouse. I can't say enough about how relaxing, enjoyable and comfortable our visit was. With panoramic views and great seating, great food and great service, I'll be back!"

  • "over and over we try to sit on their patio and order dinner - we were there 2 hours - unbelievable = my neighbors were there at a different table and said they were 2 hours too - "

  • "Calamari was bland. Brussels sprouts were bland. Steak was good and cooked well. Service was decent, although server kept trying to get us to upgrade everything. Made a negative comment when someone declined to get the $48 bison prime rib and just got the beef. If I'm going to spend $300 on steak dinner, I'll go to Del Frisco's!!"

  • "Meeting old friends from out of town at the Simm's Steakhouse was a brilliant idea! The ambiance and food were was amazing. We enjoyed watching a nearly full moon rise over the city."

  • "The Mothers day brunch was a real treat. The guests were seated as they arrived. It was nothing like the Easter brunch which seemed extremely over booked."
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "We had a reservation and the hostess said to wait a few minutes for the table to be bussed and we waited twice as long. When approached about waiting too long, she said we could be seated right away which makes me think if there was a table ready in the first place, why weren't we seated. Walking to our table, I noticed a leak from the ceiling which was not a good impression. The line for the steak took forever. The crab legs and oysters were delicious although waiting was a while. We kept asking and they said they were coming but it took a long time. Our table was in the back and it was uneven which was very annoying. My family and I have been coming here since it was Simms Landing and kept giving it chances but I don't think we'll return."

  • "The old Simms Landing had a great Mother's Day brunch. I thought I would give Simms Steakhouse a shot this year but left disappointed. The brunch area was a mess, food was cold and cafeteria grade, and the Prime Rib carver was clueless. When they ran out of Prime Rib, they brought in some small cuts of mystery meat to "get by". The desert area looked like a war zone. Better staying at home and making a Prime Rib dinner next year, a lot cheaper too!"

  • "Really enjoyed a wonderful brunch with my family on Mother's Day! Our server was very attentive and the food was great! I have never had buffalo until Sunday and it was pleasing to the palate. Loved the view with all the window's. We can't wait to come back to enjoy another great meal! I will be checking out the happy hour in the near future. "

  • "We ate here for Mother's Day brunch. We arrived prior to our reservation time and were seated immediately. Seated at the bar on a small round table overlooking Downtown Denver. Two bar loungers and a regular chair. I wasn't thoroughly impressed with the seating. The amount of food available for the buffet was average. The 'flow' of trying to get food was a bit out of sorts as people tried to figure out which line was which for their selections. While the food was good, it's just not worth the price, as with many buffets, unless you fill your plate more than a few times. Service was okay, nothing extraordinary. The waiter was nice. Took our drink orders and kept them filled during brunch. Not overly friendly."

  • "Steaks were over priced and not he best I have had. Group all parties with young kids in same room and did not provide the same service you get a typical steakhouse. would have been better off going to Lone Star or Outback... we were recently at a Steakhouse downtown with better cuts and lower prices and a lot better service!"
