"The first two times we ate there it was outstanding. This time it was less so but it is hard to write for four people. One didn't care for the fish, one wished she had not ordered the prix fixe dinner but it was ok. My hen was good and the rib eye for the fourth was very good.
The meal this time just wasn't as good as the two times before so a little disappointed but we will certainly return. It is a very good restaurant with excellent service."

"This was our second visit to Simmer. We met some friends there for dinner on a Friday night. Prior to sitting at our table we had a glass of wine with breadsticks and fresh basil pesto, mmm. For dinner, we sat in a comfortable, cozy booth in the back of the restaurant. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is lovely! All 4 of us did the Tour of Spain, which was a four course meal with wine pairings for each course (if desired). The food was delicious! The presentation of each course was beautiful as well. This restaurant is fast becoming our favorite! A delightful gem for our town of Montrose!!"

"This is our first time at Simmer. Our experience was very good. The food was great and the service as well. Staff was friendly and courtesy. The atmosphere is quiet with dress casual+. Wine pairings were excellent. Cost is quite high for this community but we felt it was worth it for this occasion. We had a very nice time. We have found a place for our special dinners which has been missing from our choices for sometime. Even our big city son(ecletic)would like Simmer and that is saying something."
