Silverado Steak House - South Point CasinoDinner and a Concert...Had a wonderful dinner just before the Frankie Avalon concert at the South Point Casino. How nice to eat a leisurely dinner and then just walk across the casino for the show. Food was superb, our waiter, Lito was excellent and we had a wonderful dinner. Their Lobster Bisque is a "must have"...truly gourmet! With Las Vegas dinner prices going up and up, this restaurant is a bargain, because the salad comes with an entree. Starting entree prices were $25 for prime rib to $43 for New York steak. We had the "special" of the night that was Orange Roughy with the most delicious sauce on top that had shrimp, scallops, and lobster....OH MY GOODNESS...the best meal ever!! Our waiter was very attentive and right on time for everything. We were celebrating the birthdays of my 2 grown children. The food was wonderful, Prime Rib for the six of us, we were not dissappointed, cooked to perfection, tender, large and purely enjoyable. This kind of service I have not experienced in many a year in Las Vegas, it is the way Las Vegas used to be all the time. I have lived here since 1966 so I know. On our last visit we heard someone tell two chefs: "we expect great things from you." One of the chefs replied that he hears the same thing from his wife. :) The appetizer selection is rather narrow for guests that don't eat shellfish and pork. That is typical but worth mentioning.

Informed management that Matthew is an outstanding employee and if he isn't promoted, someone will likely poach him.
