Diner Reviews
  • "Shrimp appetizer and scallops were less than desirable but the filet was cook very good. The booths were very quiet and a nice place to carry on a conversation with others. "

  • "My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a great dinner at the Silverado Steakhouse. The hostess even wished us a Happy Anniversary! The food was wonderful, beginning with soups and salad, moving onto the main course of what else - steak! Our server and busboy were always available, but didn't hover. We will go back for sure!"

  • "We each had the filet and it was perfectly cooked!!! A chef that can cook a perfect filet is very hard to find. The meat is very high quality and cut like butter. I recommend the bearnaise sauce. The prices are high but totally worth it. It was amazing! We will definitely be back!"

  • "Our waiter was fantastic with a great sense of humor. Made dining fun! The filet steak was DELICIOUS and prepared to perfection! I had the smallest --8 oz. could you offer a 6oz size? I couldn't eat it all! Was sooooooooo good! Thank you for a wonderful meal! Yum! "

  • "I made reservations for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. I had noted that on the original reservation, which was made one month in advance. On the actual day of the dinner, I didn't make any mention of it, but the waiter (Dennis) brought him a dessert with a candle in it to memorialize our event. I appreciated that the staff took care to notice why we were there and to acknowledge that. Our dinner was excellent and we felt the price was comparable, maybe even a little better, to other fine dining steak houses. Thank you for a great experience!"

  • "We have eaten here many times this was the 1st time it wasn't perfect. I thought the onion soup was burnt, the wife's lamb was over cooked (not that it was uneatable) it happens."

  • "The hostess did not know how to look up an opentable reservation so it was a waste of time to use opentable. Luckily the place was not sold out. If it was I could tell they would not honor the open table reservation."

  • "Got the 14 oz filet mignon cooked to medium. Done perfectly with great flavor. Came with house salad which had eclectic ingredients like artichoke hearts. Attentive service without being overbearing."

  • "The food was excellent as it always has been on our previous times dining here. The wait staff, especially Colin, was excellent also which made dinner even better. The bon bon dessert was to die for and you will never see a bon bon like it anywhere else! It was my husband's birthday and they gave him a crème brulee which left the bon bon all to myself. Will always go back for dinner whenever possible."

  • "My husband and I love the ambience, service and of course the food. Gary, the Manager is always pleasant and accommodating.R The house salad with champagne dressing served tableside is really delicious. We had the Filet Mignon, which is cut to order. Cooked perfect. Yum, Yum.....Dinners come with the salad and baked potatoe. Will definitely be back soon for dinner........"

  • "food was excellent, the shrimp cocktail and crab cakes were the best that we have ever had. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were so tender you could cut them with a fork. This was the fifth time that we dined at the Silverado, we were not disappointed. We definitely will be back next time we are in Las Vegas."

  • "This restaurant if very enjoyable, food and atmosphere are great. When ordering a vodka on the rocks you get a very small rot gut vodka from a gun. To get a decent drink, we ordered a double Grey goose martini for $13.00. It's a casino restaurant...what's with the lousy drinks?"

  • "Party of 8 please. Glad we had a reservation (even on a Monday night). Very professional staff. Salad and potato are included with the entrees. Steaks were delicious. Good wine list. We went with the $20.00 Murphy-Goode and were not disappointed."

  • "The Silverado steakhouse is located inside the South Point Casino, which is south of the "strip". It's a very nice hotel/casino. This was our second visit. I had the prime rib and my husband had the "three filets" each with a different sauce. Everything was great - except for the mashed potatoes! They tasted like they were made from instant potatoes! I expected a dense potato flavor with maybe some red or Idaho skins. What I got was - well - bland. If I had made mashed potatoes like these at home, I would have thrown them out and started over! We had the La Crema Pinot Noir which is always a perfect wine with red meat. The side order of asparagus was delicious - not overcooked and plenty for two people. Our server Jose was the best!"

  • "Love this place. The food is top notch as well as the service. This is Las Vegas best keep secret for a steak house. Outstanding!!"

  • "Food was good tasting but not great as we expected for the prices charged. I ordered the rib eye as it is my favorite steak. It was tasty but not tender and juicy as a steak should be. My husband ordered the prime rib and it was good but, he had better at other casino restaurants. Our friends ordered the pork chop (which was huge). He said it was good and tender but wondered if it should have been cooked just a bit longer. All in all, we were a bit disappointed as the food was not up to par for the price paid. Steaks should be flavorful, tender and juicy and served hot. Needless to say, we would not be returning to this place again. Food was ok but overpriced. Service was adequate."

  • "We chose this restaurant because of dinner for three special and found that this was a special place. The service was excellent, the choices were refreshing and the atmosphere was great. I would recommend the Silverado Steakhouse to anyone looking for a great place, reasonable pricing, without the feel of an over priced pretentious restaurant."

  • "We did not know what to expect, a steak house in the hotel/casino. It was more than a pleasant surprise. Food and service were great."

  • "Jose was our waiter. We were a party of 7. First we were given water. Then another person brought iced tea etc. Then Jose, our waiter, came. No hello or who he was, I had to ask if he was the waiter. Very abrupt, Did not take the lady's order first. Then me, the host, did not get my order at all. Had to call him back. When salads were served he gave me the salad for the person next to me and mine to them. Overall the experience would have been very good if not for the bad service."

  • "The service was good. However, once the waiter took our order and delivered our food, we didn't see him again. Since it was our first time there it would have been nice if the waiter gave us better information about the menu. We ordered the filet mignon. It was very tender but not very tasty. That was a disappointment. There are so many steakhouses in Las Vegas that I don't think we would go back to the Silverado."

  • "Above excellent steak and seafood. Great professional service with knowledgeable advice on wines. Better than steakhouse at Palms and Monte Carlo where we ate last three evenings and they were very good."

  • "Our dinner was fantastic ,the waiter Lito was very hands on from his choice of appetizers to main course. The Ribeye with crab legs is an absolute must."

  • "My wife and I both enjoyed the meal we ordered at the Silverado and can only complement the food and service equally high. From the moment we opened the door to the moment we left we were well attended to and in an comfortable unpretentious yet sophisticated way. It was not our intent to enjoy a special evening out however it ended up being just that. I had the small Prime Rib and was not disappointed in the least. Cooked as I had asked and provided with a blend of creamy and coarse horseradish that made it's presence known. The way it should be. My wife felt the same about her dish and provided that very complement when asked by our server. We will eagerly return on our next visit."

  • "We always went here for the Filet and tableside prepared salad. The prices have gone up, but the Filet is still one of the best. The tableside salad with the champagne dressing has also seemingly dropped off a bit......smaller maybe and seemingly not as good. Service is as good as always."

  • "Ran like a first class restaurant with coach pricing. They toss salad at your table with perfect amount of dressing, then the food come out & waiter prepares baked potato in front of you. Everything was cooked to perfection! Couldn't expect anything better from any steakhouse period!!!!"

  • "We decided to celebrate our son's 19th Birthday here and it was wonderful. We had 7 in our party and it was almost $400 before tip. Lito and his crew were awesome as usual. The folks we took don't eat in steakhouses so it was awesome to treat them to a special meal. Not every waiter here is good but the good ones are great!"

  • "We enjoyed the restraurant very much except the lighting. Mood lighting is just not turning down the lights to the point you can not read the wine list. It needs better lighting. My wife had to use a lighter to see. Nice pendent lighting over the tables or indirect light would inprove it."

  • "Love the bone-in rib eye steak at Silverado and I love the the salad and potato are included in the price. Thanks for being here!"

  • "Some restaurants are so loud that you can't hear the person sitting next to you and they are supposedly FINE DINING, Silverado Steak House is not that way!!"

  • "Consistently fabulous. Food, service and ambiance great. We always make reservations for special occasions and when special friends and family are in town."

  • "The food was absolutely fantastic! Being it was a Monday night, there were many tables open but we were seated next to a sales meeting where the guy wouldn't SHUT-UP! He was LOUD! ! So loud, that we had to speak loud, just to hear our conversation! He talked so much that he didn't even TOUCH his dinner and they had it wrapped to go. This restaurant is NOT a place for a sales meeting and it ruined our experience and dinner, as we wanted a quiet, special place. If you go to this place, you have to be REALLY specific as to what you want for a table and the occasion."

  • "The food especially the filet was as good as you would find at a center strip hotel and you get salad and potato with it."
