Silver GrilleDelightful experience forDelightful experience for any town and the gem of Silverton.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful chef-run findSilver Grill is a small, friendly restaurant on the "other (east)" side of the Willamette Valley, in a charming town called Silverton. While it has a white-tablecloth ambiance, there is no snootiness at all.
Service was excellent and personalized. The chef/waiter/sommelier was happy to describe any dish that you found interesting, what wines would work with it, discuss your tastes and recommend a particular dish or meal, and then to serve it to you with obvious enjoyment. And, oh, yes, the food was great!
Don't get me started on the Creme Brulee. It's been well-documented by another reviewer. And it's all true. Best I've ever had.
A bit small for a large group. I'd go with four or less diners. Two's best of all.
Enjoy!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFoodie gem in SilvertonOutstanding food, probably the best we had in greater Portland area. The filet minion was out of this world. The place is very small and cozy, the chef takes good care of the guests. Well worth the one hour drive to Silverton. We'll definitely go back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe lamb actually tasted likeThe lamb actually tasted like mutton. The steak had a burned, not grilled flavor and the halibut was mushy. The cured meat was delish and the applebutter tart was amazing. Very nice place, too spendy to eat there often.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent NW cuisine madeExcellent NW cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAdd this gem to your Bucket listgPretty much as good as it gets for a fresh and unique dinning experience.
