However, we were celebrating my son's graduation and he chose this restaurant because he wanted prime rib. Imagine our surprise when the first thing the waitress said was, "We are out of prime rib tonight," At the prices paid, a restaurant like this should never be out of one of it's signature dishes at 6:45 in the evening.
Otherwise, the dinner was outstanding. I had the 10oz fillet cooked au poivre - very good. The vegetables were prepared perfectly (cooked, but still having a somewhat firm texture). My wife joined me with the 8oz fillet and enjoyed it very much. She has special dietary issues and all her concerns were addressed in a friendly manner. I had the Australian lobster tail, a relatively decent value at $6 per ounce... but being a lobster purist, I prefer East Coast lobster, claws and all, and think a restaurant this great should offer live Maine. Our waiter served our drinks, suggested a wine selection, and covered off menu specials along with his favorite menu selections. Our party of 4 all enjoyed drinks, wine (best blended red I have ever tasted..on recommendation of waiter) , meal, prime rib..scallops..fillet..and sea bass were all excellent and wonderful bread pudding to complete a fabulous evening. There are other items on the menu but if you did not come for steaks, then you are at the wrong place. My table of four each ordered a different cut of meat and each was very tasty. There's a perfect cut for every type of meat lover. Each entree comes with it's usual sides and you can order extra sides. The extra sides are meant to share, but you don't have to. Cream corn is a must have. Our server, Katie H. was awesome! She was very nice and attentive and we even got a magic show from "Magic Mike".
