  • "This had to be one of the best restaurants I've ever been to! The brunch was awesome! Service was great!"

  • "Things I loved about Silo...local fresh and perfectly cooked vegatables, chicken that melted in my mouth, MAC AND CHEESE, oogy gooey desserts, convienent parking and beautiful outdoor seating. Silo Suggestions...nothing other than print out of specials on menu."

  • "Most Farm to Table restaurants in the Nashville area just serve a lot of over spiced locally grown produce and meats that are bland and they over season/spice the food to make up for the bland preparation. Silo actually creatively prepares farm to table meats and produce that is awesome with great flavors without over seasoning or spicing. Best hangar steak in Nashville! The creme de pot caramel dessert is awesome. Service is attentive and waiters are knowledgeable."

  • "We enjoyed our meal which was creative and thoughtfully prepared. Scallops were especially tasty. Nice wine pairings. The staff was knowledgable and professional. We dined there two nights in a row!"

  • "Met friends for dinner. First time at Silo. Such a nice evening. Great waiter and our food was wonderful."

  • "We had been looking forward to Silo and were not disappointed. Reserved on a Sunday evening. Table ready as scheduled. Silo stays busy even on Sunday evenings. Appetizers were their feature salad (wife said was great) and I had the roasted brussel sprouts I had read about and they were fantastic. We both ordered scallops that were seared to perfection. Two HUGE scollops each - - if this sounds insufficient it was not. Sides were cornbread and mac and cheese and while there was more than enough I found both pretty average and was expecting a bit more zing in both. Desert for wife was a chocolate concoction that was very good as I swiped a bite. Beer and wine list are sufficient. In summary, a good restaurant with good service and food."

  • "I googled "best brunch in Nashville" and Silo was listed as #1 so I made a brunch reservation for our weekend trip. So glad I did! The food (French toast & sausage and Silo Skillet) was delicious, the decor was beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly. I will definitely be back and have already recommended it to friends."

  • "Exactly what Sunday supper should be. Great food and awesome service. We all wanted to lick our plates. Don't miss the Brussels Sprouts, Greens and Mac & Cheese"

  • "We had heard that Silo was good, but were not prepared for the creativity of the dishes, the professionalism of the staff or the comfortable atmosphere that we encountered. This experience will be difficult, if not impossible to top!"

  • "We're visiting and had no local knowledge. After chancing upon Silo, We went. It was outstanding! The variety, freshness and tastiness really pleased everyone in the group. The wine list is quite good as well."

  • "We had walked by Silo a few times on our way to Germantown Cafe but never stopped to check it out. We finally gave it a shot this week and were so delighted we did. It's a farm to table restaurant with affordable prices for dinner and a great selection. The ambiance is very simple and has the little southern elements like empty bourbon bottles used for water bottles. Our meals were prepared simply but with complex enough tastes that made our dinners most enjoyable. We were so stuffed from our shared salad appetizer and entrees that we didn't have room for dessert, which just means we'll have to go back."

  • "Overall great experience. The service was friendly and knowledgable, food was very good for the most part. Mac n cheese was excellent, as was the dirty rice and beef shank. The hot chicken was only hot, not much flavor at all. Fried Brussel sprouts were also a hit."

  • "Silo is our new favorite restaurant! It was comfortable, friendly, delicious and happening all at the same time. Our server, Jeff, was a doll and made excellent recommendations. The Brussels sprouts were amazing! Did I really just say that? The menu was interesting and tasty. I love that the portions were plenty but not obscene. We can't wait to go back."

  • "Silo exceeded our expectations! The food was excellent....Mac & Cheese is out of this world! A great spot for couples or small groups. We had our one year old with us and it didn't appear to be a child friendly establishment at first but they were wonderful in accommodating us and the staff was great with her! Short Ribs are excellent. Good wine & drink list. We will be back! The staff is some of the best around!"

  • "I have no complaints - this restaurant was fantastic from the cocktails to dessert! The brussel sprouts were the best I have ever had - we couldn't stop eating them. The short rib was so tender and flavorful and the bacon grits were amazing. Jalepeno skillet cornbread with bacon butter! We finished with the sorghum cake topped with the pecan ice cream. Also ridiculously delicious! Can't wait to come back!"

  • "My experience was a pleasurable one, To have homemade pâté' and fresh bread for a starter was such a treat to say the least, then the hot chicken sent me over! I am telling all my memphis folks visiting Nashville to make Silo a definite stop!"

  • "Brunch was awesome, great food but the cinnamon roll was incredible. We had a reservation for six, the table was ready, the waiter very helpful and knowledgeable. We all tried something different and everyone was very thrilled with the quality and taste of their choice. Would totally recommend Silo and we will be back on our next trip to Nashville."

  • "Great little venue in Germantown. Attractive, quite small, friendly, excellent service. Meagan, our waitress, recommended we start by sharing a sticky bun, which was delicious, nice texture, not too sweet. The mimosas were very good, made with what tasted like freshly squeezed orange juice, pulp included. The menu was interesting, varied and imaginative. We both selected the Silo riff on eggs Benedict, two lightly poached eggs on pulled pork, which was outstanding. The wine list was also varied in terms of varietals, sources and price. Overall, prices are moderate and deliver excellent value. We'll be back."

  • "Food and service was excellent, pleased all six of us. A different twist on the typical southern cuisine and pleased the confirmed "meat and potatoes" guys. Will go again and take friends."

  • "This was our first time to Silo and we can't wait to go back. Anthony and Amanda were the best servers we have had in a long time at a restaurant. They were attentive to all of our needs and spot on with the two boys with us. They anticipated our every need and that is a rare find in a restaurant these days. The food was outstanding. Every course was superbly prepared and artfully presented. Great experience !"

  • "While my dad was in town, we decided to try two new restaurants, Silo being one of them. We went early in the evening, but already the restaurant was alive and it was infectious. We were looking for some vegetarian cuisine and Silo was the PERFECT place to go. We had the brussel sprouts and deviled eggs (REALLY fantastic) appetizers and shared the cauliflower entree. It was an ideal light dinner, exactly what we wanted. The drinks were also excellent (can only speak for the mojitos and jin and tonic, but they were fantastic). Definitely a great place for dinner - A+ atmosphere and the wait staff was wonderful. We had a trainee waiter on our table and even she was awesome. We would recommend this place to anyone. You won't be disappointed!"

  • "Got there an hour before our reservation and had incredible cocktails served by friendly bartenders. We were sat right at our reservation time and had a very attentive but not hovering waitress. The food was flavorful and presented beautifully."

  • "Interesting familiar food served with great style and tasty twists, Silo is a treat. The cocktails are interesting and especially well done, we had the Brussel sprout appetizer and all we could say was yum yum . The food is indeed tasty as farm to fork should be, freshness shining through each bite, and presented with care by attentive wait staff. I went to celebrate my birthday with a friend and it was truly a celebratory meal."

  • "Silo is really, really good. The deviled eggs were unique and excellent. They are highly recommended. The service was great, and the waitress we had was very knowledgable."

  • "This is our 2nd time and the food, service and our Waitress Lauren were all excellent. We hs d asked for a quiet table due to my wife's hearing loss and they found us the perfect spot."

  • "We were very excited to go to Silo, and it was 1,000 points for our reservation, now I know why. If seems nothing on Sunday is fresh. The deviled eggs were dry, almost crumbling, and pretty flavorless. The hot chicken had no flavor except for spicy, and unlike its counterparts this hot chicken was not hot in the meat, only in the paste that was slopped on top. Lastly, the Cauliflower parsnip entree. It was fabulous. Great flavor, well presented.... EXCEPT FOR THE HAIR and apparently they don't take it off your bill if there is hair in it... I guess you should just consider it an added protein. Service was great, but stale and boring menu was, well, stale and boring."

  • "We were there for Sunday Brunch with out of town friends celebrating a birthday - perfect!"
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "Interesting presentation of every dish makes this a fun experience. The menu was faithful to maximizing local sourcing while still providing lots of tantalizing variety. Deviled eggs were good, though not the best in town. Pork and chicken liver starters were awesome! Entrees were also fantastic, each with a special touch that made for an appealing presentation that was also a flavorful enhancement. Then the (more than you can eat) sides of mac n cheese and greens topped it all off. The wine list has improved, especially 'by the glass' choices. Our server, Meagan, was the best - knowledgable and personable! The pace of the evening was not rushed and just right for us. We had a wonderful experience and will be back very soon!"

  • "SILO's food and service are stellar . . . foodie heaven without the fuss. Beautiful space, tasty cocktails (SILO Sour), and mouth-watering menu. We had the deviled eggs (three creative fillings), baby lettuces salad, the scallops and chicken confit, a crisp viognier, and the caramel pot de creme with bacon/caramel popcorn. Everything featured outstanding flavor and preparation . . . can't wait to return!"

  • "Beautiful, casual feel. Great acoustics, so you can actually have a normal conversation while dining. Wonderful food and attentive, but unobtrusive service. A neighborhood gem."

  • "We arrived early (5.30) and almost no one there. After drinks and a great meal we noticed the place was packed. Loved the Brussels sprouts!"

  • "I researched restaurants for a group of 14 in town for a convention. The reviews of Silo that I had read were good but not over the top like some others that couldn't accommodate us. I was overwhelmed by the open area they first sat us in, private but not secluded, but then the menu, wine list told me this could be quite an experience. The food and wine proved me right! Simply outstanding food, creative and farm-fresh to table with only local products. I totally recommend!!!"

  • "We went to Silo few weeks after visiting Germantown cafe. If you do not know what to choose go with Germantown cafe! Hostess at Silo wasn't very welcoming. Waiter was great, wine was good but food was definitely too salty, especially Brussels sprout salad that they recommended; overall food was rather bland....Also, in my reservation, I mentioned we were celebrating my husband's birthday but they managed to completely ignore it... They didn't even say 'happy birthday' to him!"

  • "Met three members of my family for an early (5:30) dinner on a Sunday night. Service was unobtrusive and excellent. Pleased to see some favorites on the wine menu, and I thoroughly enjoyed my 5th and Madison cocktail. First course: fried brussels sprouts for me, winter greens for my brother, both were very good. Second course: three of us ordered the roasted cauliflower entree (next time we'll try to be a little more diversified!), one order of the scallops and a shared skillet of the corn bread.Rave reviews for all three-- perfectly prepared, exactly as described on the menu. Too full for dessert, sadly... Will most definitely be back."

  • "We spent a long weekend in Nashville looking for both the obvious and the hidden gems of the town. It looks like Silo is a not so hidden gem of a restaurant that is poised to be a town favorite. Located in the gentrifying, charming and historic Germantown district, Silo presents food that bursts with both freshness and culinary care in imaginative cooking and beatiful presentation. Chef has brought mostly locally grown and raised foods and fashioned common dishes in an uncommon, flavorful way. Simply, this joint is GOOOOD. We loved it."
