  • "We have had a great experience every time at the 1604 location. Been there most times in the dining room but stopped by for happy hour in the bar and the food was great there too and served quite quickly even with the Bar packed. Friendly staff and happy patrons. Will return for sure."

As one example, to charge $221 for a $57 (retail price) bottle of Silver Oak from Alexander Valley was insulting. Other than that, the meal was great."

  • "Thank you so much for an amazing dinner! From the minute we walked in the door and saw Ellen and then Mollie, I felt very special and more importantly my cousins did! The food was to die for. as I expected. The Scallop and Pork Belly BLT Gary made for us was ridiculous! The Fig and Proscuitto Salad was just as I dreamed it would be! The White Chocolate and Raspberry Tart that Brian made, Please! Jacob was beyond amazing! He was just the right amount of charming, teasing and just overall adorable. My cousin/namesake said she will never forget the evening and I couldn't ask for more! The wine was perfect and the shots for her birthday were tasty and made her feel very special. Most of all I felt very loved and I thank you all for that!"

  • "It was a nice touch having a hostess greet us downstairs . our waiter was Adam and he did an excellent job.chef Gary and Chef Brian prepared a special scallop and pork belly appetizer that was excellent. entrees were excellent. We always pick silo for a special occation. This was our 24th wedding aniversary and the waiter brought us a split of champagne to start. Nice touch ."

  • "This was a nice restaurant, good ambiance and a good menu. I thought each item was well prepared and tasty. I had the crab cakes and shrimp entree. Very well prepared, but I found the flavor of the pasta reminded me of 1980's cup-a-soup noodles. This really detracted from the meal. Overall, it was a very good dinner, but more expensive than the experience was worth. I may try the Silo again someday, but it won't be at the top of my list."

  • "The food was all amazing, and perfect for the season (went in July). The meal starts off with choosing a garnish for your water (lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, cucumber). I would especially recommend the chicken fried oysters, sea scallops, and avocado soup if they have it available. The service was great: the waiter was attentive without being annoying or overbearing and all of the wait staff worked well together. The only thing I would advise is to set aside enough time because our brunch with seven people took 2.5 hours!"

Then went to our table and there were quite a few specials, which is great because it is something for everyone in a party. We really liked the private rooms for small groups. Over all, nice place, not 5 stars, but very nice and we would go back."

  • "I can certainly say that Silo was a great choice for our Anniversary Dinner. We have been there a couple of times for birthdays, but this was especially great because of all the well-wishers that we encountered. From the front door until we took the final elevator home, the hostesses, the servers and the waiters wished us a "Happy Anniversary". We even got a candle on our Coconut Pie, what a treat!!!Thank you again for making this day even more special."

  • "Went there for dinner and had an excellent meal with very good service. The only downside is the Caesar salad. It tasted good, but was a bit difficult to eat as the lettuce is served as full leaves of romaine that were difficult to cut with a butter knife. Scallops were some of the best we've ever had, and the souffle was the perfect end to a great meal."

  • "Yup, my girlfriend drooled while eating her chocolate souffle. My entree was pan cooked chicken that was very moist and tender. We come to Silo because my girlfriend (yeah, I like saying "my girlfriend") likes the scallops and because Silo cooks them to perfection. My only advice is to: 1) Get the waitress who looks like Sarah Silverman (sorry, don't remember her name but she was excellent). 2) Try to get a table away from the kitchen. It opens into the main dining area and gets a bit noisy. Side note: The small bar downstairs is completely separate from the restaurant but is where we finished our night and had a great time. An eclectic mix of people and and ages. Live band and small dance floor. We've never had a bad time."

  • "Silo is an excellent contemporary upscale restaurant. Our salads and main courses were very good, but the crime brûlée desert was only OK. When we noted this to our server, he generously comped the desert, which was more than fair since the crime brûlée was fine, albeit a step or two down from our other courses. We will be back when we return to San Antonio."

The restaurant lends itself for a nice date night dinner. The bar had live music which makes it great for a before dinner cocktail or an after dinner drink.   • "My friend & I definitely enjoyed Silo & I will be going back much sooner than the few years since my first visit! We each had a cocktail from the specialty menu (nice but my Old Fashioned could have been colder), then the Duck Spring Rolls (good but a little cold despite our server's warning that they'd be very hot) & the Yellowfin (excellent). I had the halibut special, & I would eat the seafood & corn risotto every night but the halibut was slightly over. I didn't send it back because it was on the edge but I was a little disappointed. My friend had the pork shank & he loved it. Nick was a great server. The flavors of the food were fabulous, which is why I say this was really good despite a couple of technical issues."
