Diner Reviews
  • "The food is very mediocre with an extremely limited menu, however we enjoy the races and drinks."

  • "Silks is a relaxing and great place to enjoy horse racing. The track finish line and leader boards are so easy to view. Good food, service and value for your entertainment dollar."

  • "Poor Service, wine was so old that was no longer red, but brown; forgot wine glasses; had to send steak back overcooked for rare; cold coffee - reheated and served in same cups, dessert wrong - had requested something special for birthday surprise, fell short of all expectations. Manager Zamamma, however, listened to my complaints and wanted to comp the meal - which was not necessary. I explained I wanted to pay for our food, just wanted to explain why we weren't coming back. Thoroughly enjoyed the table and the races."

  • "Dated carpet and furnishings. Holes in seats, carpet, etc. Thankfully food was good, much better than when on a busy day."

  • "outdated menu, really just food for betters, service was attentive, but couldn't make up for boring food."

  • "We visited this restaurant for my son and my birthday. We had a group of 10 including two children. We had a table overlooking the horse racing track. Our waitress was outstanding, the food was very good. I didn't like the fact that you pay extra for a salad and baked potato with your steak - considered extra sides??? The blackened salmon was the best I have ever eaten out - got one side with it no extra charge but would have been charged for rice had i wanted it. The only downside was the carpets needed to be vacuumed/swept - it was very noticeable on the stairs. We were the first customers so I know the filth was left over from the previous day or days. We will go again."

  • "I think they are trying to hard to be upscale restaurant in setting that will not work. Menu has changed from last year and portion size reduced with prices increasing. $7.00 side salad was about half the size of a can of pop and brownie desert was definitely smaller than last year and overpriced. I would suggest eating before you enjoy day at the races."

  • "Been a long time since last visit to The Silks. Enjoyed the Dashing Dinner Theater very much. Choices were good and allowed enough for everyone to get something they would enjoy. Food was excellent."

  • "It w as fun fot horse racing view-after I realized there were sofas I was a little disappointed because if I had known that we could of sat & order drinks! Food was average-"

  • "The Quality of the food was excellent, the ambience was super and the service was great. The only advantage Churchill Downs has over Remington Park is a larger selection in their menu. In all others areas Remington Parks at least equal to Churchill Downs. In addition to the restaurant, the casino was a great place to be while waiting for the Restaurant to open."

  • "Had a great time. Employees were very helpful. Food was very good. Menu has a nice variety."

  • "We have been coming to the Silks for years. It is the ultimate experience for watching horse racing. Tlhey have a new menu this year and while the food was good, there are omissions. No nacho's which we loved to snack on. The sandwich list only has two choices - need to expand that. A hot onion loaf with butter is available free but it isn't mentioned on the menu. The waiter didn't tell us this on our first visit but a hostess did on our second evening. House wine brand is mediocre (Barefoot). Need more choices for "by the glass" purchases."

  • "Service was not good. The steaks were overcooked. We all 3 had the $32 Ribeye only one was even edible. Salads were small compared to past visits. We were brought only part of our drinks first time and had to constantly hunt waitress for refills and to order. We were seated next to the wait station and had to listen to our waitress berate what I guess was the person who was late several times just nearly at our table. None of the betting machines we operational other than right up at the top. I was told nothing was wrong with them admin just refused to turn them on. As a 58 year old with bad knees and a bad back greatly reduced my enjoyment of the races. We will return ONE more time to see if this was an anomalay because of previous visits."

  • "Silks was very busy, it was Saturday Night , opening weekend. The food was good, however it took over an hour to get our meal. The wait staff was very understanding, they brought us bread and kept our drinks full. if this was a normal eating establishment I would have had a problem with the long wait, but since we were going to be there for the evening races the long wait was tolerable. Also the woman's bathroom reportedly was in bad shape. Typical first weekend at Silks, they should get faster as the new season staff gets their process down."

  • "Our server was professional courteous, and stayed on top of our needs thoughout the evening."

  • "Food was great and service was even better. Desserts were okay but not great like last year during racing season. If you've never been to horse races this is way to eat great food at reasonable prices while enjoying some of the best horse racing in the country."

  • "Well, it was my first time to go to horse races, and it was an enjoyable event. I will enjoy coming back again to bet on the horses."
    Dined on 3/7/2014
  • "difficult to rate this place with respect to noise, since horse racing was occurring, and lots of cheering for horses was happening. but a very fun place when live races are happening."

  • "Server was pleasant and helpful. Never had to get her attention, she stopped by without being annoying. Recommend the Chicken Fried Steak."

  • "food quality was excellent; crab cakes to die for and entrees to compare. with racing venue the excitement and food were a memorable evening. staff was caring and continuously strived to please."

  • "Did not like the smokers mixed with the Nonsmokers. This is a law suit waiting to happen! I think the owner need to re-think this policy."
    Dined on 11/30/2013
  • "We have dined here before and the food and service is excellent. The view of the track and the excitement of the crowd is an experience one should choose. Thanks for all the very nice and professional members of your staff. Look forward to seeing you soon."

  • "Great food and outstanding service combine with a panoramic view of world class horse racing at Remington Park Silks in Oklahoma City. Menu selections offer a variety of appetizers, main dishes and desserts with familiar items and well-crafted chef specialities. Portions satisfy hearty appetites but don't hesitate to ask for a to-go box. Mutual windows are a few steps from the entrance with teller machines throughout the dining area. The Silks offers a unique Oklahoma experience."

  • "Brought my Grand Daughter we enjoyed the view, the food, the service and she especially loved the horses."
    Dined on 11/15/2013
  • "We had a great table right on the finish line of the races. The server was very nice but wasnt easy to find. There food was cold and terrible. The grilled chicken had no flavor and the mashed potatoes were cold, not warm, cold! I truely would rather eat McDonalds. If your going to watch the races, its a very nice seat, just drink your mandatory $20.00 per person, don't eat the food."
    Dined on 11/9/2013
  • "The Thursday dinner for 2 for $25 was a good deal. Food was good for the price. The service was so so. The service for the regular track goes was better than the service we received. I will give them another chance since the food was good."
    Dined on 10/31/2013
  • "We went with a small group of friends and really enjoyed this experience. We could visit, see the races, cruise the tip sheets and it was just a very short walk to bet placing. It is fantastic sitting over the finish line while enjoying great food."

  • "I would recommend the restaurant and racetrack to anyone. Our group had a great time and a table right on the finish line. Food was good too!"

  • "Fun way to spend the night at the horse races. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food and service was okay but somewhat inconsistent. We will go back next time we want to go to the races."
    Dined on 10/26/2013
  • "The quality of the food was definitely lacking. It was all beautifully prepared and presented but lacking in taste. It's rather pricey for what you get. Even so, the service was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive to our every need or request without being intrusive. And dining at Silks is fun because of the environment and the great view of the racetrack. Too bad our meal wasn't as good."

  • "THE TABLE WAS ON THE FINISH LINE OF THE RACES. . .THAT WAS MORE THAN APPRECIATED, ETC. . .THE INDIVIDUALS WAITING ON US WERE SUPERB AND VERY, VERY HELPFUL ON USAGE ON THE BETTING MACHINES; SO WE DIDN'T HAVE TO WALK ALL THE WAY UP THE STAIRS. . .WE WILL RETURN. . ."

  • "It is nice to be able to eat dinner while you are playing the horses."

  • "We end up eatting at silks a few times a year when we feel like going to the races. this time they seemed understaffed. The waiter mentioned having too many tables, and he wasn't around as often as might be liked. The drinks/food would take a very long time to arrive. When it did you could tell they had been sitting under warmers, as the gravy had a thick film on it. The previous visits have been more enjoyable, hopefully this was just a fluke."

  • "I have been attending silks since it opened in the early 1990's and have seen it go from very good to very bad over the course of two decades. About 7 years ago I noticed a huge improvement and I am very happy to say that the food and service have returned to very good. I hope that Silks will continue to provide good food and service for many years to come"
