  • "Sienna never disappoints! The food and service are always impeccable."

  • "In Pittsburgh's Market Square district - Sienna's food is above average. We enjoyed an arugula salad with fresh made on the premises mozzarella for starters and it was delicious. The drink menu included very interesting and tasty cocktails that were modified for the time of year. For example, one such libation was their Spring Negroni. It was delicious, packed a punch, refreshing, and it even went well with my meal. For my main course I ordered their special item which was Rissotto with homemade sausage and melted marscapone cheese; yeah it was terrific. We sat outside and that was a pleasant experience because the weather was very cooperative. However be aware that the sidewalk, at least at our spot, was slightly but noticeably sloped."

  • "Made our reservations online and put in a special request to have a wine from their list on the table when we got there. All was as requested. Our waiter was very attentive and the manager came over several times to check on us. The food was Outstanding! Highly recommend the Voveti Prosecco. It was a nice walk to the theater from here. We will definitely return."

  • "Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. When I needed recommendations, not only was it clear that he had tasted the dishes, he asked the appropriate questions and ultimately guided me to a savory culinary adventure. The 4 cheese flatbread was just crisp enough and the ricotta was out of this world, the veal meatball side dish surpassed even the high standards set by another Pgh restaurant, and the beef shortrib (chosen by my server bc after his description of it and another dish) I was torn) w/ mac n cheese risotto left me craving it the next day. The cobia (ordered by my companion) was also delicious. Can't wait for my next visit to try the rabbit gnocchi!"

  • "Sienna was a good experience, the restaurant is beautiful, very inviting, and comfortable. The service, was good as was the food. My only complaint would be the Antipasti, we order it every time we see it on a menu, so we've had hundreds. However theres was very skimpy. It contained one slice of bread cut in half, 4-6 small bits of cheese, and three slices of Sopressota, and two pieces of Proscuitto, with a bit of tomato jam. We don't expect a meat pile, but for the price it was extremely small."

  • "I ordered the bucatini with veal meatballs. It would have been a great dish but my goodness, the chef used so much salt that the dish was downright unenjoyable. Almost unedible. The consistency of the pomodoro sauce was nice but it was way over salted, but the meatballs were worse. I had my wife try the dish and she agreed. I'm mad at myself for not sending it back."

  • "Have been to Sienna many, many times. One of my favorite restaurants and it never disappoints. Great cocktails, especially the Rosemary Lemon Drop. Had the chicken dish with pesto and it was amazing. Service is top notch. Great outdoor seating in view of Market Squre."

  • "Loved taking advantage of the beautiful weather with the open indoor/outdoor seating area. The Peach Sangria was delicious and refreshing."

  • "We really enjoyed the pre-dinner meal on a week night. There were so many things on the menu that I wanted to try, I'm sure that we will return. The meatballs were outstanding, greens and beans, the best I've ever had, and the cobia was perfect! There were 4 of us and everyone loved everything. The chocolate panna cotta with balsamic strawberries was excellent."

  • "beautifully presented plates; but, the beet salad was overwhelmed by the cheese and the short rib and meatball entrees were so salty that we couldn't really taste anything else. I would return for a drink, but not for food"

  • "My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary dinner, excited to try something new. The atmosphere was very relaxing and chic; it was appropriately dark inside, creating a nice ambiance for a romantic dinner. We split the wild mushroom bruschetta as an appetizer and were blown away by how good it was! Even with all the trimmings, it was fresh and flavorful. Next came our entree, the caprese flatbread. I am not usually a fan of flatbreads but for Sienna I will make an exception. Their tomatoes are so fresh, ripe, and full of flavor. The meal was definitely filling but not overwhelming so, like in most Italian restaurants. Our waiter, albeit busy, was friendly and very accommodating. We will absolutely be back in the future."

  • "We had a wonderful meal after seeing a show at the Pops. Best meatballs anywhere. Service was wonderful also. This was the first Sunday it was opened so I hope more people will go and support them. Since we have eaten many meals in Washington D C I thought the Price was reasonable actully it felt like a bargain compared to DC prices."

  • "I had been dying to go to Sienna, and finally booked a reservation. Having read reviews, I knew that the tables in the bar area were high tops and not comfortable. So when they tried to seat us there, at a table next to the kitchen, I politely told them that we preferred to sit at a lower table. They had plenty of open seating outside on the patio, so we were happy to sit there. We split an order of beans and greens and a salad to start. The beans and greens were outstanding! For our main course, my boyfriend had the chicken, which was a little dry. I had the nightly special, bronzeno(?spelling), a great fish similar to trout. The presentation was nice, but the food was cold. Will we go back? Maybe for pasta and the pleasant service."

  • "This was our second visit to Sienna, located in the newly invigorated Market Square area of downtown Pittsburgh. This place hops with activity and with good reason. Wonderful, creative appetizers and salads, superb pasta dishes and the ever-popular mozzarella stuffed meatball. Very popular spot, esp. on nights with major cultural events. Friendly, efficient service from waitress Ariel, who literally almost sounded like a Disney character."

  • "But, after I had the Gnocchi - I was hooked. Not to mention that I discovered that my old friend Matt Porco is the chef! It's all good, excellent service excellent everything! I can't wait to get back."

  • "My wife and I had heard good things about Sienna and decided to give it a try after a night at the ArtsFest. I had high expectations going in and they exceeded them. On a busy Saturday night, we were actually seated before our reservation and were quickly attended to by a knowledgeable wait staff. The meal did not take long to make it to our table and the food....it was simply the best meal I've eaten in months. Maybe years. Portions were large, the food was seasoned perfectly. All around, a great experience and we will surely be back. Probably with friends."

  • "This isn 't your typical Italian food but what great choices. After narrowing down our choices, the stuffed veal meatballs with pasta and the beef spareribs were amazing. The service was excellent, consistent and attentive. Prices in moderate range but worth it. Casual fun in Marketplace."

  • "always great food and service. Now got few great new items. A veggie pasta is awesome. An amazing beet salad tha my companion said was the best ever. And you cannot miss the chocolate panna cotta."

  • "No need for salt and pepper. This food is amazing. Ive been coming, religiously, for all occasions. Ive ordered almost everything on the menu and loved it all. The chianti braised short rib with orzo mac is my personal favorite. Also love the moz stuffed veal meatballs."

  • "So many good things to choose from on the menu. The arugula flatbread was outstanding. The waitress was wonderful and very attentive. Love the brikc walls and the overall ambiance. It's one of our regular haunts."

  • "First visit to Sienna, but definitely will return. Spread served with bread was very tasty. Grilled Cobia was was delicious, as were the meatballs and short ribs entrees. Desserts are house made and also delicious. Only complaint is the European trend of serving water without ice. We prefer ours ice cold. Door was open so even with an inside table we were able to enjoy the beautiful evening weather."

  • "Met an old friend for lunch and it was fantastic. We both had the arugula salad with grilled chicken. Delicious! Staff was super friendly and they gave us time to talk and catch up. Didn't rush us out the door. Wonderful experience."

  • "I usually have an excellent experience with Sienna for lunch. This last time, however, was much less enjoyable. We waited atleast twenty minutes for a server to even approach the table, which was odd because most of the restaurant was clearing out by the time we arrived. When a server finally did arrive, the service we received was not up to par with what I have come to expect at this restaurant. Despite the wait staff, the food was superb as always! I expect this was maybe just a bad day for the staff and I would be willing to give Sienna another try."

  • "This was our 2nd time here and again we were very pleased with the meal, service and wine. It was my wife's birthday, which they acknowledged, but did nothing more. This was a little disappointing. A small desert would have been appreciated. Both her meal and mine were very flavorful and the presentation was excellent. The meals were very hot and the service was at a very good pace. nothing was rushed. "

  • "The food was fantastic. For starters we got the grilled bread with the arugula, tomatoes and cheese (I forget the italian name). It was warm, buttery and creamy. I got the pancetta wrapped pork tenderloin. It was a bigger portion than I expected, which was fantastic. And the combination of flavors was phenomenal. I loved it! Once our server gave us water, it took a while for them to check back on us, but once we got our orders in, they were great. I will definitely go back again."

  • "Lovely location on Market Square with a patio open to the entry level dining area. I enjoyed being inside while experiencing the action underway out in Market Square on a bright summer day. I had the chopped salad with grilled porta bella mushrooms. The portions were reasonable in size, the ingredients were fresh and the service was timely without being intrusive. Very nice lunch experience."

  • "Favorite on Market Square for business lunches. The services is impeccable!!! The pasta dishes are amazing and there's a lighter date option in the salads. Highly recommend!!"

  • "We had the salmon tartare as our appetizer. A step up from the basic smoked salmon and delicious. My husband had the short ribs and risotto Mac and cheese. Looked like a small portion but it was plenty . Beef was tender and Mac and cheese was wonderful. Wished I had ordered that. I had the salmon with eggplant caponata, good but not sure I would order again because I have had other things here that I enjoyed more. Service is always very good, and the bartender makes the absolute best dirty martini - that will always keep me coming back!"

  • "I had the fettuccine with clams and both the broth and the homemade fettuccine noodles were delicious. My boss had the cod special with zucchini, which he also loved. Our server was educated on the food and provided just amount of service and recommendations without being annoying. I will definitely be back. "

  • "Sienna is always a good choice because the food is very good (pappardelle pasta, mac 'n cheese, short ribs are exceptional, in fact). Almost as good as the food is the ambience... low lighting, warm decor, etc."
    Dined on 5/28/2014
  • "The food, wine, atmosphere and services was great. Nikki, our waitress was exceptional! Not one single moment during the night did I feel rushed or neglected. The portions are small but when the flavor is rich you don't want an entire mountain of food.. The only thing I would change is either the physical size of the menu's or the size of the tables for two. "

  • "Great addition to the Market Square lunch scene! The menu is sufficient to meet the appetites of even picky eaters. The service is consistently A+. And, you're able to get lunch done within the hour for those managing back-to-back meetings. Just need to find time to try the bar one evening!!"
