Siena RistoranteVisiting from Illinois....Siena was recommended by a local. The restaurant is very small with many tables. Too noisy....hard to have a conversation at the table. However, the food was outstanding and the wine list perfect for pairing. Service was excellent. Seemed to cater to their regulars.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMEnergetic and fun; Excellent fare! The food preparation is solid, well prepared and very tasty Italian using excellent ingredients. No cutting corners here. And the specials are....well....special! Things like rabbit, lamb shank, polpi (incredibly tender!)....items you don't see every day on a menu. Plus the home made pasta is a fabulous, either as an entree or as a first course. There are always several fresh pasta on the menu. The staff is friendly and efficient. Walter (I think he's one of the owners) is very attentive and keeps on top of everything. Some might think the restaurant is a bit loud but I thought it had a great vibe...there are some sounds that are unpleasant and some that just denote energy and fun....this is all about energy and fun. I highly recommend it.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFresh foodThe wait staff was very attentie, the food was delicious and atmosphere lively.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways wonderfulConsistently excellent! Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. Will definitly be back again.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMStill great after all these yearsHave been going to Siena for years but hadn't been back for a while. Same friendly greetings when you arrive, and same delicious meals and choices. They are willing to make whatever changes or substitutes on the menu as you wish. Mushroom risotto is a fab even when it's not on the menu. Burrata appetizer was outstanding. Will always go back.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAffordable, Friendly, & Great FoodI came here the first time with my boss and co-workers at a late hour and we were treated to a very special meal with complimentary dessert and Lambrusco. The owner and waiters were incredibly welcoming and fun to talk to and the experience left me dreaming about their calamari and chicken livers. Went back with my family and really enjoyed the Polpo and butternut squash ravioli over prosciutto. They have an excellent wine list with good specials and it's very affordable for such high quality food. The service is excellent and this place gets very popular on the weekends. I'd recommend going early (5:30/6) as its a bit quieter but the energetic atmosphere didn't bother me or affect the quality of our service. Siena is a wonderful place!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMTruly AuthenticNothing pretentious about Siena - this is a real Italian restaurant with a competent, caring staff and excellent food. Clearly it's a local favorite - even if you arrive at 6 pm, within half an hour there will be enough of a crowd to create an energetic buzz. The location makes it super convenient for a night on the town - you can park nearby and walk to the Palace or theatre in a few minutes. The food has always been delicious and wonderfully presented. Siena is one of a handful of restaurants where you never have to worry about being disappointed.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
