A word from Siena Ristorante Toscano
For over 13 years Siena has been Austin’s premier destination for authentic Tuscan cuisine. Chef Harvey Harris received his Master's Chef in Italian cuisine while attending culinary school in Piedmonte Italy, but his heart is in Tuscany where he lived and worked. All food at Siena is prepared to order, pasta is made fresh daily as well as all stocks and sauces. Tuscan food in general is gluten free so over 65% of their menu is always gluten free!. Utilizing local farms and ranches Chef Harvey sources out products that are hormone free, chemical free and natural for his menu. Our food is complemented by an award-wining wine cellar and served in rustic, elegant surroundings of thick stone walls and tall wood-beamed ceilings. Whether visiting for a light lunch, happy hour, special event, or a romantic evening, experience the welcoming charm of Tuscany close to home.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Will try a dinner next time I am in Austin, nice Easter brunch ,friendly waiter and staff."
    Dined on 4/20/2014
  • "Great menu that featured traditional Italian courses. Outstanding appetizers, pastas, steaks and seafood. Wine list was excellent. If you get reservations for date night, ask for the upper balcony. On the way out we made reservations for Easter brunch next weekend, so it's definitely worth a repeat trip."

  • "House pastas were excellent. Ask for a table upstairs if you want a quieter option to the main floor dining areas. Nice decor with attentive service."

  • "9 of us went to lunch for a special occasion. The food was great, service excellent and we were not rushed at all. We had different dishes and everyone enjoyed what they got from the appetizers to the deserts."

  • "While dining, hubs and I commented on how the restaurant reminded us of a place we ate at in Tuscany, Italy! Wonderful food, wine and service with a charming atmosphere. We will definitely be back!"

  • "Enjoyed the place very much. Food was good but not outstanding. Service was excellent. Beautiful decor."
    Dined on 3/14/2014
  • "We ate lunch there, but my favorite is happy hour. I would go there more often in it opened at four. I usually go to Chez Zee because they begin their happy hour at three thirty."
    Dined on 3/14/2014
  • "Took 90 minutes to get our meals. Manager just came by and said "you look annoyed" and offered no apology or discount. They lost our business"
    Dined on 3/1/2014
  • "We loved everything. The only thing not good was the squab, a special that night. It was small, tough and greasy."
    Dined on 3/1/2014
  • "Very nice ambience and service, however, food was just barely OK. It is expensive and there much better places to dine. I strong recommend you visit others and save your money."

  • "Staff was very friendly, waitress very knowledgable of wine and food. Food was very good, atmosphere very appealing. Some were sitting outside, which looked very appealing, except it was getting too cool for us. Would definitely return. Parking was a little scarce on a Friday night."

  • "Great restaurant! the food was good and so was the service."
    Dined on 11/9/2013
  • "We went out with friends and went to this restaurant because of all the good reviews I had read, so my expectations were high. The interior is lovely, the wait staff very attentive. The salad (beets with goat cheese) was excellent so I was disappointed when the fish was a bit over cooked - I neglected to say med rare because I figured they were knowledgeable, so I share some of the blame. But my husband's chicken was also over cooked, to the point of chewy. Sides were very good. We were all able to have a great conversation with out a lot of interruption and overall the experience was a good one. If I lived closer, I would return. And be more instructive."

  • "This is my favorite restaurant in Austin. The food is always delicious and the waitstaff experienced and professional. The building is spectacular. Siena is like going to italy without the hassle of airports."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "We had a wonderful experience at Siena. The food was superb, and the service was top notch. Our server recommended a wine that we ended up loving and we bought a bottle for ourselves the next day. We definitely plan on making Siena a regular spot now!"

  • "I'm never disapointed at Siena. From the fabulous food to the experienced waitstaff, Siena is always great. And no place in town can beat the ambience."

  • "Beautiful restaurant -- Food is average to good --Does not live up to the setting"

  • "My wife and I went with friends for the Valentine Day dinner. It was outstanding! The service got off to a slow start but they made it up to us immediately. They misjudged the timing on the first course with bringing our first wine pairing. Very romantic place. Highly recommend it."

  • "Ive been to this restaurant several times. They are true to Tuscan cuisine and do an amazing authentic job with fantastic service. My husband and I enjoy this for grown up time….but I have also loved having lunch outside when it is warm enough. Definitely, go enjoy all the fresh flavorful food."

  • "First timers, but we will return! JW is a wonderful waiter and he did well in pairing wines with our food choices. We enjoyed everything from the ambiance to the fine wines. We also enjoyed the little lady who delivered desserts to the table, the staff appeared to be happy and friendly. Would have been 5-star on food, but as personal preference the spices in the chocolate mousse made it unappealing our taste. Other than that, I would say that everything was well worth the money and time spent there."

  • "What a wonderful surprise! Our son suggested Sienna bc one of the chefs at Le Cordon Bleu in Austin has raved about its delicious cuisine and he was absolutely right! The Osso Bucco was the stand out as was the Bruschetta w/ wild boar. Make a reservation - architecturally beautiful - stone interior walls and fireplaces, perfect lighting, cozy and quiet."

  • "Dined here the day before Valentine's Day to avoid the mayhem associated with dining on that day. More people than the restaurant expected made the same decision because it seemed the kitchen was overwhelmed. Nevertheless, we had a nice experience in terms of the ambience and being able to linger. Our server did his very best to make our evening pleasant despite each of our courses being somewhat delayed. There were three of us. We split an appetizer and salad and had one entree each plus free desert to reward our patience. The mahi-mahi was excellent. The mixed grill was very good. The salmon with shrimp and scallops was so-so. Overcooked scallops, tiny shrimp, and decent but unremarkable salmon."

  • "It was our first time to go to Siena... We have always wanted to go and now wonder why we haven't been before. The server was incredibly knowledgable about the menu and wine list and made wonderful recommendations. We are so happy that we decided To go and won't hesitate returning soon. What a wonderful dining experience."

  • "I have been to Siena and the building itself seemed very authentic. Wonderful design and very unique. Lovely fireplace and stone walls. Food was good although I was not personally wowed by it. My salad was very light on the dressing to the point I wasn't sure it even had any. My pasta dish was tasty although I probably didn't pick the best thing on the menu. I would go back if for nothing else but to enjoy the ambiance."
    Dined on 1/18/2014
  • "My husband and I made a second visit with friends and we all thought the food was excellent and the atmosphere welcoming and warm. The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly but also knew how to stay out of the way. Unlike so many restaurants, the noise level allows for easy conversation. We will definitely go back!"

  • "Love this restaurant! It's five stars in all categories and has lots of parking...free!!"
    Dined on 1/3/2014
  • "Always a good experience, with a menu of great choices and perfect service. We love to bring out-of-town guests and share their enjoyment of the beautiful Tuscan setting. A tip: The noise level is probably a little lower than at many popular spots, but go towards the early side and enjoy the opportunity for quiet conversation before the level picks up."

  • "I come here on occasion and enjoy myself every time. The food is consistently good and the prices are reasonable for the resturant. The wines are always nice and the wait staff can be relied upon to suggest unique Italian wines to sample. It is a good place to go for business dinners as the noise level is not too high and the ambiance is very nice."

  • "I always enjoy coming to Siena ... When I bring someone they are always impressed!"
    Dined on 1/8/2014
  • "My wife and I stopped in Friday evening for dinner after work. We were promptly seated in an upstair balcony overlooking two dining areas - the setting was lovely. Matthew was our waiter - friendly and prompt. We ordered drinks and for an appetizer the cheese and meat plate. My wife ordered the mushroom and truffle pasta plate (excellent - the truffles did not overwhelm the other flavors), and I got sweet potato gnocchi's with boar's meat - both dishes were excellent! We were full with these dishes and did not order dessert. Drinks consisted of Compari, Peroni and a Pinot Grigio for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and wondered why we don't eat at Siena more often - that is not a reflection on Siena but the hectic pace of life!"

  • "Some odd appitizers but wonderdul wine, entrees and dessert."
    Dined on 12/31/2013
  • "The service was excellent, The food was very good, and we were seated where my wife and I could actually have a pleasant conversation for once without being crammed together like 90 percent of the other restaurants we have been at on New Years Eve in past years. It was a little pricey but this is once a year. We will return for their regular menu."
    Dined on 12/31/2013
  • "All items we ordered starting with the soup were wonderful. We shared a salad and a pasta dish that were both exquisite. Then we shared a dessert than was divine. The lunch was a total pleasure. We will do it again."

  • "Had New Years there...and it was fantastic! Frank took good care of us and the aged filet's were fabulous! We're going back Friday."
