Diner Reviews
  • "The sole and salmon were excellent, as was the beet salad. Service was good in general but the waiter forgot to bring one of the desserts, the kitchen forgot to put the Brie on the ham sandwich and the coffee was cold. It appeared that our waiter was serving both inside and out on our Friday noon lunch. It was a good thing we weren't in a hurry."

  • "I guess it may not be the best way to try out new restaurant from their midweek special (dinner for 2 with a bottle of wine for $55)?! As the special menu was very limited. Everything we tried was just so-so."

  • "We recently celebrated an Anniversary at the Siena Bistro with another couple and we all had a delicious dinner! Our wait person was excellent and we used our Passport Card. The sole Almandine was perfectly cooked, my husband loved his rack of lam and the other gentleman was very happy with the steak he ordered! So nice to NOT have to go downtown for a very good dinner! And since it was our anniversary a musical candle arrived at the end of our meal and was colorful, fun and festive! We will definitely return to the Siena Bistro!"

  • "Food was good, staff very nice. Small menu. $20 corkage for wine seems a bit excessive! The birthday surprise was very fun!!!!"

  • "Bought 2 entrees at lunch and the owner wouldn't accept our Passport card because we shared them!! What?? What does he care what we do with our food once it's served. He made a big deal about bringing out the rules and embarrassed us in front of other diners. I love this restaurant and have recommended it to many friends, but I will never go there again."

  • "David the owner is wonderful - sitting outside is a Must - really wonderful evening! Great service."

  • "Truly a 5 star eating establishment. Only downside, it was a bit noisy - one group of 8 were having lots of fun. Not too bad in normal context but it was our Anniversary dinner and was distracting. Once the food came for 'them', the noise level was lessened. One more irritation, not with the restaurant but with OPEN TABLE. This reservation does NOT accrue points from OT. Turns out I got this several times on other establishments. Then why use OT? I think I will NOT for this restaurant again."

  • "The food is excellent, the owner/chef and the staff have been there for a long time and know the menu very well. We always enjoy a lovely dinner here. "

  • "The portions are very small and overpriced. A simple brewed iced tea was $5.00. I had the scallop sandwich which contained only 4 scallops for $18.00. Although the outdoor dining atmosphere is quaint and intimate, the pricing is not in line with the quality and quantity. "

  • "I took some friends to Siena Bistro for dinner. It is small, clean, and quiet, a perfect place for conversation. The service was great and the food was delicious. The restaurant is tucked away off of Lincoln Ave. so it may be a little hard to find, but there is plenty of parking and easy access. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Every time I've eaten there, the owner comes out to say hello. Very attentive staff."

  • "It's hidden behind Lincoln avenue and the fabulousness of it is appropriate being that it's a hidden gem!!! Love the house salad, although the others are more unique and spectacular. They go the extra mile with the food!!!! And the dessert, YUM!!!!!"

  • "My wife and I had a very enjoyable dinner. The kitchen was very accommodating with my wife's need for gluten free food. The Tuesday/Wednesday deal of $55 for two starters, two entrees and a bottle of wine is a steal."

  • "They do a nice Special every Tuesday (and I think Wed). 2 Starters, 2 entrees and a bottle of wine from a limited menu for $55. They have also revised their menu with updated items. The food was great and the wine was solid for a deal like this. The wait staff was busy, so they forgot to tell us a few things which Dave updated us on and I'll pass on to the Open Table crowd. If you want to forgo the wine on the deal, you can get a $20 credit to something on their wine list or bring your own and they'll waive corkage. Also, the new dinner menu dropped the pork piccatta which we loved. Dave mentioned they are glad to make it as well as some of the other items that dropped off the menu (he kept the piccatta on the lunch menu)."

  • "Need I say more...best I've ever had or will have! Unfortunately our waitress forget our order of GCB so when our entries came we inquired and she said coming right up. She returned shortly after with some bad new, she forgot to place the order; what say you I said?!?! She then broke it to us for the inconvenience the GCB was on the house, great gesture coupled with amazing product equals return visit!"

  • "We were so happy with our food and wine. We happened to eat on a Wednesday, which offers 2 for $55 dinner including a BOTTLE of wine!! Our server was great. Our salad and entrees were delicious!! Excited to go back for the calamari steak that was sold out!!!!"

  • "Have not been here in a couple years. My neighbor suggested it and commented on the crab sandwich. I took a friend and requested the crab sandwich (not on the menu) and they could make it for us. It was great. My friend and I talked for 3 hrs! We were attend to but left alone. Was a great gift to us."

  • "Definitely a special first mother's day brunch. Everything went off without a hitch from the bottomless mimosas to the eggs benedicts. They pre-fixed menu was a little lean, but was sufficient for the 6 people we had."

  • "The food was interesting and well prepared. The service was excellent. A little quirky to exist off the parking lot behind the buildings (you cannot enter from Lincoln) but once inside it is a rather intimate atmosphere though it can get fairly noisy."

  • "The menu has been upgraded and many new items added. I still had to have my favorite beet salad which is amazing. The Tuscan bean soup was great as was the duck confit ragu. I will need to return soon to try the new Rabbit dish. Always great coffee and the tiramisu was very good. I also noted new additions to the wine list. "

  • "Wow! It's so refreshing to find a restaurant that uses spices in addition to fresh ingredients to create wonderful dishes with flavor. We had the crab cakes that were served on fresh avocado slices in a gazpacho and chili sauce. Then we shared the Beet Salad that used sliced beets with feta stacked and sliced together to deliver the perfect balance of beets and cheese in a bed of fresh lettuces. The shrimp skewers were spiced and grilled with cara cara oranges and vegetables. The oranges provided a wonderful sweet, citrus flavor that wasn't overly acidic. The Sole Almandine was cooked perfectly and the sauce amazing as well. If you haven't been to this restaurant before, you'll find it to be a hidden gem!"

  • "I am sure its been called that many times. I love Siena. The only thing is my salmon was very dry. I guess overcooked but I loved it anyways. I always go there on special occasions and love the Chef. The bread pudding - amazing. that's all. My guests were impressed as usual. I am a realtor and I take my clients there."

  • "A wonderful dining experience in an inviting atmoshpere, Siena Bistro delivers with both its food and drink offerings as well as its service. Our dinners, wine and desserts were all top notch, only to be matched by the attentive and courteous members of the team. It was clear that they were not just serving food, but creating an experience for their customers."

  • "Went on a Saturday night. Weather was nice and wanted to enjoy a good patio. The ambiance of this place is good for outside dining. However the menu (wine and food) is limited. We got the crab cakes and cheesy bread as appetizers. They were both good. My husband ordered the angry pasta and I ordered the New York strip. His pasta wasn't anything to write home about. If my steak hadn't had a sauce covering it, it would have tasted soley of char. I wasn't good at all. Over priced for what you get. We won't go back."

  • "We had a good time, but not fabulous. The service was friendly but a little slow. Our friends split a beet salad which they thought was great. We had to ask a few times for a water refill."

  • "The food is good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Indoors can feel a bit gloomy, but the patio is a great place to sit on a nice day. There are heaters if the breeze is chilly, and adjustable shades to keep the sun off. The staff is very accomodating. A nice neighborhood cafe."

  • "Habit, the wait staff and the patio propel us to Siena Bistro. The menu is in desperate need of an update. It has become boring to the nth degree."

  • "Good menu, a bit more to choose from for lunch since the last time I was there. Had the Pear and Gorgonzola flat bread for an appetizer, very tasty! I was there for lunch with friends. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We had bun less burgers, eggplant parmigiana, and a scallop salad. For dessert we shared a creme brulee (it was OK) and the chocolate lava cake with vanilla bean gelato, yummy!"
