Shuraku Sake Bar & BistroAll the dishes are tasty especiallyAll the dishes are tasty especially the bbq ribs. The maki rolls are great as well. Some dishes the portion is quite small.12/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Japanese place on GranvilleFor good down home food on Granville, I suggest dining at Shurake Sake Bar & Bistro. The service is great with the authentic Japanese customs and courtesies.
Go with miso soup, wild mushroom salad, kogomi, avocado rolls, mushroom ohitash, live spot prawns, kuro macha, genmaicha, ebi gyoza, tuna isobe ago and salmon teryaki - all balance between veggies and proteins.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMVancouver's finest JapaneseVancouver's finest Japanese restaurant (West Vancouver has Zen) without a close second. The. Best. Ribs. Ever.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGo with seasonal specialsWe had an excellent experience with friendly service and fantastic spot prawn nigiri sushi. The hamachi sashimi was perfectly fresh. The deep fried spot prawn heads are a delicate crispy delight. Fine junmai daginjo sake available by glass, carafe and bottle. A surprisingly fine dining experience for an informal place amidst funky Granville street.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best!!Shuraku is the best Japanese restaurant in Vancouver if you are looking for high quality tapas and sushi. Have been to this restaurant numerous times and everything we have tried on the menu has been perfect. Just try this place and you will agree!4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMService needs improvementFood was average, pricey sushi for what you can get at ebisu (and taste much better). Service was underwhelming, had at least 7 empty on our table before a server noticed and came to clean our table. I would come back if I had to, but would generally choose other izakayas instead.3/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
