A word from Shula's Steak House - Naples
The theme for Shula's Steak House is a virtual museum of the 1972 Miami Dolphins' 17-0 perfect season, the NFL's only unbeaten team. The décor includes pictures and game balls from the '72 season. The menus are hand painted on NFL footballs then personally hand signed by Coach Shula himself.
The restaurant's reputation has been built on serving the "biggest and the best", which includes Premium Black Angus Beef. The menu features generous portions, including a signature 48-ounce porterhouse steak.

We visited Shulas with clients and spent $500 on a just so so meal. My steak wasn't prepared properly, the cost of the side dishes was outrageous and no sides are included in the meal. They don't even bring you any free bread or anything other than what you order. Now I see why you don't post a menu with any prices. I'd rather eat at Outback (where I've not eaten since college) before eating here again. The whole experience felt like a gouging and was not pleasant.

Best bet for red meat in Naples. The steaks are truly outstanding and the lamb porterhouse comes two the the plate and is about 2 inches thick.

Great food. If I arrive for at 5:30 reservation and sit in the dining room because I like to eat dinner earlier than most people, I should be able to qualify for Happy Hour. This is a bad rule that Happy Hour is only available in the bar area. I love to dine out on Wednesday and Friday please consider changing the Happy Hour rule to include the dining room before 6:00 PM, you will make a loyal customer happy.

We chose this restaurant as a last treat before heading back to the uk. It is expensive. Nice wood lined restaurant. We ordered steaks. They were nice but a bit cold. The beans we ordered with then were cold and not nice. My sons steak was medium and while not bloody was very pink. When we questioned it the waitress said yes that is medium. Oh his Yorkshire pudding was cold too. Although they changed it maybe they should try for right first time.

The evening was overshadowed by the terrible service. Waiter (Jamie) asked to review our orders and did not have one of them correct. Brought bottle of wine to the table. We had to call him over to open it. Main course took 90 minutes to arrive. It was obvious that the food sat on the warming station before being served. After manager spoke with server, he stood by our table and stared daggers at us.

I had a filet Mignon steak that was very good. I also had a loaded baked potato. I inserted my folk in the potato and removed it from the jacket, I saw something hanging from my fork. I put it on the bread plate and saw that it was a long brown human hair. I called over the floor manager and showed it to him. He definitely wasn't concerned about it and asked if I would like another potato. I told him no. This was very disappointing way for us celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary. The staff also open a bottle of red wine. Never asked us if we wanted a red or white wine with our meal. I rarely drink wine, and never drink red wine. I believe that it is very presumptive of the restaurant to decide what beverage we will have.

Generally speaking, the dinner for this special occasion was disappointing. My wife enjoyed a steak, though it was cooked medium when she ordered medium rare. My prime rib arrived only slightly warm. The waiter responded quickly and took it back to reheat it. After reheating, the meat arrived well done instead of medium. The overall service was excellent. This was our first time at Shula's, and we would not choose it again. For the price, the meal should have been better.

For dinner we each had Steak Mary Ann, shared a Caesar Salad, and shared the twice baked potato. The Caesar Salad was outstanding with lots of anchovies and good dressing. The presentation of the steaks with their sauces was rather blah. Two drab pieces of filet mignon on each plate. Taste even with the sauce was just OK. They were cooked to order at medium. We would definitely go medium rare next time. The twice baked potato was a disappointment - cold and tasteless. We did make sure the manager was aware of the baked potato. This was our second time at Shula's where the baked potato was cold. Wine selection was good. Bar service prior to dinner was good.

Friday night, but off season. Food very good (although tomatoes seems to have been in refrigerator....). Waitress did not know how to operate pepper mill (just odd in a steak house) -- Waitress took 17 minutes to pick up credit card to run (actually it was another server who noted how annoyed we were) We advise avoiding restaurant until service issues are addressed. This was a personal meal; professionally (and with a different opentable account) our firm books people here and at other restaurants whilst they are staying in Naples. Mostly groups of physicians. We are advising them to avoid Shula's until service is bettered.

I was a little apprehensive, thought this was one of those restaurants which leaned on the reputation of the name. This is clearly not the case in Naples. It is obvious that everyone is well trained at providing excellent service, they do and it is very apparent. A great experience.

Service was great. I had the 8oz. filet and ordered it medium and came to me medium rare. The wait staff corrected the situation, but the visible manager never came to the table. Food was average at best. The wait staff is trained to say that the meat here is the best money can buy. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have had a better, more flavorful, tender filet at Longhorn! A hostess did call me to ask me about our experience the next day. I told her I was not impressed. The manager did call me and left a message in which I have returned the call and waiting for his response.

First we were served mojitos in martini glasses...strange. After ordering, we waited a half hour before asking if our meals were almost ready. We were told they should be out really soon. It was at least another 20 minutes before we were served. The food was ok. My husband's steak was cold. My fish was good not great. When we placed our order, we ordered a molten lava cake that takes a while (thus the reason we ordered it with our initial order). After our plates were cleared, we were told that the server forgot to put the order in. My husband spoke with the manager who was not the least bit sorry and was argumentative with my husband. Our dessert was eventually served....not an apology nor a discount for an awful experience.

We went for our anniversary. First the place was so crowded, never saw it like that but it was probably because of their prime rib special. I didn't like being put in their wine room and the table was under the air vent which was blowing cold air on us. They did change us to a different table but still in the same room. It was like we were forgotten in that room. No refills on water. The waitress did her best but I think she had other tables outside that room too.

This was our first visit to any of the Shula's locations, and it was fantastic. We are football fans, so we enjoyed the theme, but it was not overdone. The interior was very nice, coY. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding. I don't know when I've had a steak that tender and flavorful. Highly recommend the shellfish trio appetizer, petite filet, chocolate lava cake, and creme brûlée trio. Very expensive, but worth it for a special occasion!
