Excellent food and service although every five minutes someone came to our table (in rotation) to see how things were and that is a bit much based on the privacy we wanted. We did go for my fiancée’s birthday and they did make it special by mentioning it prior to arriving. Kind of expensive, everything is an entree (~$150.00 for two and we don't drink, add about $10-$15 per drink) so this is not a weekly thing for most people. Overall, a great experience, VERY friendly staff and highly recommend sharing entrees and sides as the portions are pretty much made for two.

I had been anticipating the grand opening and I was pleasantly surprised. The menu remains the same. Their chilled lobster cocktail is outstanding. The steaks are tender and cooked to perfection. The bread is so good you have to ask them to take it from the table so that you have room for your meal! Oh! did I mention that the creme brulee and the chocolate soufle are to die for? The servers are knowledgeable and very cordial. Rge new look is very "yacht club" and gives it a more friendly atmosphere than before. I am sure it will bring in a younger crowd. Good Job! I will be there often!

It has been redone. The lighting is a bit too dark except for romantic dining and the look is too sanitary. The food is okay and we need a fine dining restaurant in the "Lakes".

First, the restaurant is a shrine to the 1972 Dolphins team. The Vince Lombardi (Superbowl) trophy is even on display. As to the food, we had the 12oz. Filet Mignon with Bernaise and the 24oz. Porterhouse steak, both with baked potato. I am positive that I have never had better beef - every bite was blissful. The Caesar salad was good. I will try the Wedge salad next time. We finished off with Chocolate Lava Cake, ordered during the meal so that it could be prepared for us. Truly an experience. The service was, of course, excellent. $150 for 2 without wine.

The restaurant is under an extensive renovation and will soon be closing for 2 months to complete the work. The staff made the extra effort to mitigate the appearance or feel of a construction site and did a great job. From the hostess to our server (Alicia) to the maitre d' all were friendly and very accomodating. Great team! This restaturant has been a personal favorite for as long as they have been open but I am finding it increasingly difficult to validate the price-to-experience equation. With so many excellent steakhouses in South Florida the premium $$ appear only to be for the Shula name.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

Myself and guests generally enjoyed our individual selections. We dine out for business and pleasure frequently so we are not first timers to restaurants similar to Shulas. (Capital Grill, Smith & Wollensky, Ruths Chris etc.) There is a similiarity to these establishments and Shula's that has become somewhat dated. It is not easy to discren any difference in the quality of the beef to the largely matching side dishes. None the less, you know what to expect at Shulas. So when I am inclined to pay for the pleasure of the fine service and a decent meal, Shulas is an acceptable option.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 5/12/2008
I was disappointed with Shula's Steak House. They did not have a menu. They handed us a football with list of steaks, then showed us the steaks offered wrapped in plastic like most steak houses, but there was no written menu with fish, chicken, sides on it. The waiter could not give us a complete run down on salads and sides, so we didn't have a full menu to order from. The restaurant was almost empty, yet the maitre d sat us right in front of the kitchen doors, that was disappointing. Service was very good, waiters were very attentive, though they missed our drink order. Food was good.

They were quite busy, but they more than made up for any delays by updating us on the status of the kitchen. They were backed up, but they did not rush us through dinner even though I am sure they had reservations waiting. The steak was excellent, wine perfect and overall a great night.
