Neither of us had been there before. The food was amazing. We had the blackened beef tips for an appetizer and they were very tender. The BBQ sauce that came with them was phenomenal. We had French Cognac chicken and filet mignon for our main course. We had a baked potatoes, asparagus and sauteed mushrooms as sides. All were wonderful. Shula's has a great alcohol selection, too. The chocolate lava cake for dessert was delicious! The staff was very friendly and more than accommodating. They wished us happy anniversary and gave us a small box of chocolates with a personalized note before we left. OUTSTANDING RESTAURANT! The Landry's in Indianapolis was easily in the top 3 in the country, all time. Great Steak's, Seafood, Salads, Bread... I could go on and on. WOW did we hit a home run! Fairly quiet Friday night, we had a great table next to the window. No rush here, we were able to take our time with appetizers, soups, salads, etc and feel no pressure to turn the table. Our waiter was efficient and gracious, the food over-the-top good! Really nice experience for some out-of-towners needing some quiet time, and fabulous food. Everything we had was prepared to perfection and tasty. The wine list extensive and reasonably priced. St.We enjoy the quiet atmosphere and the attentiveness of the entire staff from the moment we confirm our reservations until the Valet returns our car to us. We've never been disappointed with the appetizers (delicious French Onion Soup & huge Shrimp Cocktail portions). The Wedge Salad is fresh, crisp, and plentiful. Always a nice selection of main entrees to choose from even though my husband and I share the meal and can't seem to venture beyond the Petite Filet and Twin Lobster Tails! People were very nice, yea it was pricey, love the view by the window, food came a little fast I was still on the soup when the steak came out, I felt a little rushed. I wanted to enjoy the food, take our time and enjoy!!! It was perfect! We had great service but we weren't bothered too many times so that we could enjoy each other's company. The food was fantastic! And there was an awesome view. This was at 7:30, the system stated a table was available at 8:30 so I took it. Then my party increased by one and I went to modify my reservation and the system stated a table for 6 was available at 9 or 9:30. I took 9:00.
I decided to go to the restaurant at 8:45 and it was dead, hardly any customers. The staff stated Sunday's were slow. I stated you online reservation system thinks you are way busy.
That was very frustrating BUT overall the food/service was fantastic.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMIf u want a great experience...This is the third or fourth visit for my wife and I. This is the best steak place in Indianapolis!!! We always go to Shula's for our special occasion dinner and events.
