Food was excellent. The waitress
needs to learn how to pour a beer."

We've been to Shula's in other
states, it's a great place. This one doesn't have beer on rap however, which was disappointing. Meat cuts were amazing, and the service was terrific."

Four of us dined at 7 on a
Saturday. We were seated promptly, but back in a corner against the window and next to the server station. We did not make a fuss about it but later on I wish we had requested to be seated elsewhere - the location detracted from the experience. Our server was cheerful but did get a drink order incorrect. She promptly made it right. Everyone enjoyed their entrees - the ala carte menu makes for an expensive meal that is above average but not terrific. In retrospect I have a tough time justifying $43 for an eight ounce filet. This Shula's location is on the 'B' team. Might give it a second chance but there is a lot of competition in Chicago for a good steak, which is likely their perceived strength."

Shula's Steak House offers good
food at an extravagent price. The steak was good but the vegetable side dish was forgettable. There are better choices for a fine dining experience at a steak house."

We had a great dinner this past
Sunday. The food was great, steak cooked perfectly and delicious gratin potatoes. Our server Mesias made the night with great service, he never rushed us and was very attentive."
Dined on 2/16/2014
Had a wonderful meal for my
Birthday. My husband and I both had filets. They were prepared perfectly. We shared au gratin potatoes that were heavenly. The desserts looked amazing but were just too full to have one."
Dined on 2/15/2014
We had the Shula cut, the steak
was the best I've ever had. They also had a large drink selection for all occasions. Would highly recommend."
Dined on 2/15/2014
If you are a steak lover, this is
DEFINITELY the restaurant for you!"
Dined on 2/14/2014
We were in Chicago for the evening
celebrating valentine's day. Upon arrival, we noticed that the restaurant was about half full. The service was mediocre as we waited for quite some time to order drinks even though there wasnt that many people dining there. The food was very good but the ambiance left much to be desired. We would probably not be go back to this restaurant."
Dined on 2/14/2014
I have to say I am a steak lover,
therefor I order steak almost everywhere I go. This was undoubtedly one of the best steaks I have ever had. And my husband agrees. It was cooked to perfection, tender and the taste was yummy. The service was excellent, but it was a very slow night for the restaurant so not sure it is always like that good."
Dined on 2/11/2014
Shulas was a relaxed atmosphere
with a competent staff. A bit pricey for meals I found elsewhere of comparable quality."
Dined on 2/9/2014
For the price, I'm not really sure
it's worth it, but they still offer good cuts of steak that are well-prepared, a robust wine list and excellent service. I ate a nice casual dinner alone and paid $85 after tip, and that was with my SPG discount."
Dined on 1/27/2014
This was the best filet mignon
I've ever had! I would definitely return next time I'm in town!"
Dined on 1/19/2014
Great steak. Server very attentive
but respectful. Baked potato was served cool, but the cost was removed from the bill. Nice view of the River. All the staff seemed friendly and happy. Very attractive female server"

I went to Shula's to celebrate my
birthday and because I received and free entree for my birthday. My friend had also told me before that the food was fantastic. The portions for the sides were huge. It would have been very helpful had our waitress explained this to us before we ordered and then we wouldn't have wasted money and food ordering what we did. I felt she did this to increase her tip. I did mention this to the hostess and the manager, and the hostess explained that when they do their spiel, they should always mention the portion sizes. This was my first dining experience at Shula's and it could have been my last based on her lack of integrity."
Dined on 1/11/2014
Brilliant steaks, great sized
sides, brilliant cocktails and perfect service."
Dined on 9/9/2013
I would defiantly put Shula's on
the top tier of Chicago's great steak houses. Next time I get a hankering to have an excellent cut of steak, perfectly prepared with traditional, delicious side dishes, polite, prompt service and an inviting selection of wines by the glass, I will go back to Shula's. Friendly bar staff too, always a plus."
Dined on 1/4/2014
The experience was great, we ate
here and got a suite downtown foe New Years. Food was great, the server was not very responsive. The Mac n cheese is wonderful with the filet."
Dined on 12/31/2013
I cannot stop bragging about our
dining experience to everyone! The food was delicious. I had the filet minion and it's the best I've ever had It was pure perfection. Cooked perfect just how I love it. The sides were a bit large.. That's a good thing! Usually the sides are small. I give our experience 10's all across! We will definitely come back soon!"
Dined on 12/18/2013
The steaks were all superbly
medium rare and especially delicious with the béarnaise. The creamed spinach, mushroom and mashed potatoe sides were great! The scallop and BBQ shrimp were fantastic!"
Dined on 12/16/2013
The ambiance is nothing special,
and our service was decent but slow at times. The real attraction is the meat, which was excellent and well-prepared. Everything is very high priced and a la carte, so be prepared to drop $100 per person if you want anything with your steak."
Dined on 12/13/2013
We visited Shula's on 12/7/13 for
dinner. The location is only 1 mile from the Chicago Theatre so for a pre-dinner show it's a great location. The server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, however, when he told us the specials one of which was Maui Maui. We selected it he came back a few minutes later to say that they were sold out. We had a 5:30 reservation (it opens at 5:30) only a few tables had been seated and we wondered how they could already run out of something. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it tasted like they used frozen calamrai -- I would definitely not order this again. The Lobster bisque was great and the scallops & roasted corn was wonderful. We will revisit the restaurant but not focus on seafood."

We were staying at the Sheraton
and arrived around dinner time. Since we love steak, we decided to just dine at Shula's in the hotel. Our server was great and the food was very good. It was a little too loud for us, even though there were not may people eating. For its convenience alone, we will eat there again the next time we are in Chicago and staying at the Sheraton."
Dined on 11/26/2013
Steaks are perfectly done, melt in
your mouth. Very reliably good food and service. Not loud so one can speak to each other without shouting."
Dined on 11/29/2013
the steaks are the best we have
ever had. We would definitely recommend this restaurant, for the food and the service was exceptional."
Dined on 11/21/2013
Food selection is out of this
world. Steaks are the best anywhere. Outstanding wine list. Great desserts!"

I've always loved Shula's Chicago
mainly because of it's accessibility, the quality of the food, and the atmospshere. Chicago is the best steak lovers town in America...by far...and I've sampled them all; believe me. But I am always miffed trying to navigate through the Loop congestion and the maze of off-and-on construction obstructions just to get to some of our city's finest. Shula's, however, is conveniently located several blocks east away from all that mess. This traveler/commuter friendly location adds to the allure of the entire experience. Accessibility, combined with a less-than-schmaltzy bar area, great wait staff, easiness to make the reservation, and of course the great steaks make it number one in my mind. A good time."

I've eaten at the Shula's in Miami
Beach, Indianapolis and Chicago, and each experience was a great one. The steak has always been cooked to perfection."
Dined on 10/20/2013
Great steakhouse and service. Menu
for lunch is very limited."
Dined on 10/10/2013
Comparable to the many other
pricey steakhouses downtown."
Dined on 9/4/2013
Came here, highly recommended.
Atmosphere dated but comfortable, steak menu printed on football ( suppressed urge to throw indoors), service was friendly and efficient. Lobster bisque was rich(heavy) but lacked the nuanced complexity of a wellmade lobster shell stock, but the worst offense was that the soup was not steaming hot when the optional sherry(low grade) was added at the table. The result was luke warm soup. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly but was too salty. In short, considering the price of dinner, the food was only slightly above average."
Dined on 10/7/2013
Given the location inside the
Sheraton, the restaurant is isolated and therefore is primarily used by hotel guests on business. It is a good spot for business meetings."
Dined on 10/4/2013
Had a great steak with a very nice
wine, and the service was appropriately attentive. We had a group of four for a business dinner, and our guests from Japan clearly enjoyed the meal and the whole scene."

You know how sometimes you are
really looking forward to something and then it just doesn’t live up to what you were expecting? My dinner at Shula’s was like that. Main course was a 24 oz Porterhouse served with a side of Crab Mac-N-Cheese. The section I cut into when the server brought it was correct but the meat must not of had a chance to rest before serving because as soon as I started eating it my medium rare steak turned medium-well. The filet side was almost well done. Over all I doubt I would return. In the end, it is important to feel that the value of a meal was received and at $100, it really wasn’t there."
Dined on 9/26/2013
My husband and I were staying at
the Sheraton for my birthday celebration and decided to cancel prior reservations and have dinner at Shula's. We heard great things about the restaurant and wanted to try their food. We were not disappointed. It was incredible and the staff was very friendly and professional. We will definitely be returning and will recommend it to friends."
Dined on 9/22/2013
Great food and service. It was
crowded that night (a good sign) but that made it pretty loud and hard to talk. Superb prime rib."
Dined on 9/19/2013
After first finding Shula's in
Orlando we couldn't pass making reservations when we found there was one in Chicago. Nothing less than "outstanding" all around."
Dined on 9/17/2013
I was VERY disapointed with the
quality of the steak (Filet) i ordered, both my son & I remarked on how it was not nearly as good as the steaks we get at either Daniel's or the Metropolitan Grill in Seattle, I will say the sides were great & the service was excellent. I wonder that because we use a Passport card, possbly that is why we received such a poor steak"
Dined on 9/12/2013
Several guests in our party had
food allergies and the staff made accommodations to our meals so everyone could enjoy a great meal! Expensive but well worth it!"
Dined on 9/15/2013
The prime rib at Shulas was out of
this world delicious and the service was excellent. The ambience feels like an elegant Chicago steakhouse and a place to enjoy a special occasion. The one issue I had was the incredible amount of noise within the seating area. I literally could not hear my wait person rattle off the specials and my dinner guest had to repeat everything she said to me. My ears were ringing after we left!"
