Diner Reviews
  • "As usual, we had a wonderful dining experience at Shula's. Our guests, daughter and son-in-law were again impressed with the quality of the steaks and fantastic service rendered during our stay. We enjoy our special occasion dinners with family and friends at Shula's. We will be returning soon again."

  • "Took sum of our friends there and everyone has gone back. We have more lined up that want to go the next time we go. I have had every steak already except the 48oz steak."

  • "Delicious food and A+ service. Would return for special occasion dining and would like to go there for happy hour. Loved the ambiance."

  • "We were extremely pleased with the food! Outstanding! However, the service was quite slow. Also, the wait staff did not inquire about drink refills or return to the table to see if anything else was needed once our steaks arrived. Very odd! We have never experienced this at Shula's before?????"

  • "One of my favorite restaurants. Never disappoints . Steak was wonderful, drinks were wonderful . Have been to other famous, well known steak restaurants but none as good as Shulas!"

  • "Came here for dinner. Great setting in the Promenade and very nice atmosphere inside. Had a reservation and got seated immediately. Then they plopped this football down in front of my wife with the names of the steaks on it... pretty corny. Ok we get it, Don Shula, the undefeated '72 team... but get that football off of my plate! I'll read the menu. Pretty good meal. I had the 20 oz. porterhouse and wife had the scallops. The steak was prepared perfectly. nice touch when the waitress held out a flashlight and asked my to cut the center to make sure it was prepared to my liking. Sides were the usual for a steakhouse and just ok. We had the sautéed spinach and mushrooms. No room for dessert but they sounded great. service was excellent."

  • "As far as Steaks and elegant restaurants go this is definitely a fantastic place. I've dined here as well as other Shula locations and will continue to do so. With that being said, make sure that you allow plenty of time to dine on a weekend evening. I figured an 1.5 hr should be sufficient for a main course since we had decided to do dessert after our show. Needless to say upon delievery we had to have $100 worth of steak and sides packed to go. Though later at home it still tasted great!"

  • "Service this visit was poor at best. Normally very good but felt ignored and coffee was ordered with dessert and got the check instead. Disappointed."

  • "Went here for husband's birthday. Servers were excellent and very accommodating. We ordered the lobster bisque to share and it was very kindly served in (2) bowls. Steak Mary Anne was good however not very warm. The enormous baked potato was also not warm and way too large. We shared that also and left half behind as we were too full to eat more. Much to our surprises we were treated to a generously sized piece of chocolate cake with sparkler for the birthday celebration. Took it home for later. Good, not great. This restaurant is overpriced and overrated. FeelmI could have prepared the steak myself at home for so much less."

  • "I dined here for the first time with my wife for our anniversary and we're glad we did, but once will be enough for us. The food was very good. She got a small fillet with mashed potatoes and I got the porterhouse with a twice baked potato. Our steaks were very good and cooked the way we ordered them and my baked potato was also good. The mashed potatoes had a good taste, but they were barely warm and the service was so slow that she didn't want to send them back to be warmed up. The crust on the bread was very hard and it was difficult to eat without cutting up the roof of your mouth. It was VERY EXPENSIVE and even though we were in no rush, it took a little over 2 hours from start to finish. The cost and ambience was not for us."

  • "The food was amazing. Unique side dishes and obviously the steak is the best I ever had. Try the molten lava cake for dessert if you have room!"

  • "Our dinner experience was yet another way of celebrating birthdays with our dear friends and neighbors. The food was superb and the service was impeccable. We will definitely be returning with our family in the very near future."

  • "The restaurant was packed on a Thurs night. We were dining with someone that is pretty regular at the restaurant so the server knew she could be a little lax. Service was a bit slow but not annoying-was nice to be able to talk without the next course coming right out. I have no complaints"

  • "Good times in the bar area! The dining room is a little stuffy for my taste, but good for a date or a special meal. I enjoyed a delicious steak with the perfect cabernet. The pumpkin cheesecake is a must!"

  • "The staff are so nice and friendly. Service was great as always. Every bit of my steak was absolutely delicious! A member of my party took on the 48oz challenge and succeeded! Everyone came over to congratulate him, even the manager. Will be back in 3-4 weeks to check out the new name on the Club wall"

  • "Even though our reservation was early for a Saturday night (6:15), there wasn't an empty table in the entire restaurant. Booths are the best...if you can get one."

  • "Even with a Birthday entree offer, bill was almost $200 for two."

  • "It had the potential to be great but wasn't. Lobster bisque was not hot and missing the lobster. My bone in filet special was not cooked properly and the sides were cool, not warm. Prices are what you'd expect from a Shulas. I prefer capital grille over this restaurant for future steak dinners."

  • "The cuts of beef are fine - though they were extremely salty. Service is definitely subpar - during both visits. Certainly not at the level that I recieve from a Ruth's Chris or a Morton's Steakhouse. We have visited it twice now and I simply do not care to go back. There are too many other dining opportunities in Lehigh Valley."

  • "consistently good food, quality steaks, great service and a varied menu always something extra"
    Dined on 3/12/2014
  • "Shula's is a great steakhouse, but is definitely overpriced. They should at least give you a salad or veggies with a $45 filet. It looks very lonely served on a large plate with a sprig of watercress. When they have $45 dinner specials, they give you a salad and dessert with veggies and potato on the plates. We have had nice Easter dinners there for the special price."

  • "I chose Shula's Steakhouse to celebrate my birthday meal. Everything about the restaurant was spectacular. Our service was tremendous. The sourdough bread was served hot. The Seafood Trio appetizer was expensive, but enough for two. An absolutely delicious dish. Our filet's were done to perfection. I savored every bite. Shula's Steakhouse is expensive, but worth the money for a quality meal presented with impeccable service."

  • "Great food, great service, the crab mac and cheese awesome!!! Steak were cooked to perfection, just to warn everyone, very pricey. We had a party of 4 and the bill totalled $ 336.00 without appetizers, salads or desert. My brother-in law and myself only had one drink, my wife and sister-in law had two drinks. Would I go back - Yes."

  • "Extremely overpriced for the quality of the food. I wouldn't mind the prices as much if the food wasn't as basic. Good comfort food."

  • "We went to have dinner on a Thursday night the place was not full at all so it was as if they wanted to close early. we felt very rushed to go go Thur the dinner. It is not what we expected for fine dining."
    Dined on 3/6/2014
  • "Food is good, but overpriced. I don't like that they add cream to a great deal of their side choices. The bar gets packed, and the bar selection is average. My husband, and I took our daughters, and they offered a 5 oz filet for kids. My kids ate all of their food which says a great deal. The sides are very large, and you can share them. The restaurant is clean, and more on the quiet side. Expect to spend money. $215.00 for 5 people (two kids under 12)."

  • "The service was excellent. The food was not special. Very expensive and not worth the trip. I do not plan on going there again."

  • "The atmosphere was lovely. Our server allowed us to dictate the pace of the meal and gave us privacy when needed. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. It was a lovely evening from start to finish"

  • "We like Shula's. Good food and good service. We would go more often if we did not feel we were being over priced. Everything food, cocktails, wine, desserts; all are about 20% higher than other fine dining places we use regularly Places like Blue, Edge it costs $150 for a dinner for two; Shula's is $200. Willing to do it for special event perhaps twice a year but not monthly."

  • "Great steaks and amazing fired calarmari. Excellent experience."
    Dined on 2/27/2014
  • "Our server was great. We arrived early for our reservation and they were able to seat us immediately. The calamari fries were the best that we've ever had. The porterhouse steak was cooked perfectly and the flavor was also very good. The only disappointment was the potatoes au gratin which were undercooked and still crunchy but they took them away and even offered a replacement side for free (which we did not take them up on). The overall experience was good and we will be returning for our next special occasion."

  • "The inside of Shula's is very attractive, and it sets the mood for a good meal. The salmon is great with the Asian slaw. The calamari fries are very yummy, and unique. The steak madellions are very tasty either on the black and blue salad or as a meal with fries and a wedge. The cost is a little pricey, but the food is great."

  • "I love Lehigh Valley Restaurant weeks. Shula's honors the RW spirit better than most restaurants. It's a beautiful upscale restaurant that opens its doors with a generous price point for the week. I had an excellent filet, cooked perfectly. My Dad had the NY strip, and found the tiniest bit where it had not been trimmed well. The response of Shula's was to replace the entire meal, packaged to go, at no charge! And the timing of the response was within minutes! Overall it was a very impressive experience!"

  • "I have always had dinner there. This was the first for lunch. Never again. Crabcake had no flavor, and coleslaw was very generic. Was not impressed at all. Very unhappy with visit. Bragged to my friend that was with me, and was ambarrassed later. There are way too many other places in the valley that have great lunch specials,ALL THE TIME, and have great food. Very sad."
