Celebrated 52nd anniversary as a couple. Didn't expect a sports bar foursome in ratty jeans and tee shirts yukking if up two tables from us. It's fine to be a sports bar, and it's great to be a fine dining restaurant. Shula's tries to be both, and it doesn't quite work. Sides will comfortably serve 3-4 seniors. Potatoes are the size of footballs. Steaks and creamed spinach were excellent, as was the service Twice baked potato was either over baked or spent far too long under a heat lamp. Don't expect that at these prices. Is definitely aimed at expense account business.

It's one thing to let meat rest, it's another to serve food cold. We did find a nice reasonably priced bottle of wine and that was a plus, but can't they warm the plates?

A $48 filet should be better and I have had much better. It was cooked right from the look at medium rare, but the flavor, juiciness, and texture was not inspiring. The mushroom side appeared to be freshly opened from a pre-packaged sliced variety versus button sized with seasoning. They were just sauted with no seasoning. Would not go back....other places in Bethlehem area are much better.

It was good but overpriced and overrated. For a $45 steak you should at least get your sides with it! We also had to wait a very long time for our food, and the restaurant wasn't even busy!

My Prime Rib was over priced. It was no better, in fact not as good as prime rib's I had at other valley restaurants. It did not meet my expectations, I felt cheated for the price. My baked potato was not cooked. I had to ask for some of the toppings after it was brought to my table.

Shula's Steak House - Center Valley, PA is on par with steakhouses in Philadelphia, NY, and other larger cities. For my entrée I chose the Steak Mary Anne, two 5-ounce filet medallions with a rich demi glace sauce. The steak was prepared to perfection, and the demi glace sauce added the right amount of tanginess and flavor without overpowering the taste of the meat. The potatoes gratin were a bit dry, and not as cheesy-flavored as I had expected. I would have liked to taste more cheese in them, but they were quite satisfactory anyway. All-in-all, I'm definitely looking forward to a return visit soon.

Shula's is always top notch. I've dined here for special occasions as well as just when my friends and I wanted some great food. Each time is just as good as the last, with everything on the menu impressing everyone in our group. The service is always pleasant and on-point from start to finish. I tried the Onion Soup for the first time and it was some of the best I've ever had. You can't go wrong at Shula's!

While the food was quite tasty and of good portion, the cost was extremely high. This is not a restaurant where one goes regularly unless you are quite wealthy. This is Lehigh Valley not New York City. Once the restaurant became busy noise level was high and a bit annoying. Our servers were very accommodating and pleasant. Let me say that we will not be returning unless we win the lottery. There are other restaurants in the area that provide the same quality service and food for a much more affordable cost.

An additional perk for us is that it only takes us 5 minutes to get there! Lobster tail and filet for me this time and my husband's usual porterhouse. Quite an enjoyable evening. Marliese

Shula's delivers on a classic steak house promise--wonderful cuts of beef, with hearty sides. Further, the service was spot on--not too cloying but never leaving us in want for a moment. My prime rib was succulent; the wedge salad extremely tasty and the creamed spinach exactly what one expects from a good steak house. It's not cheap, but if it were, the steaks would not be as good.

If you love just-right-prepared high quality cuts of meat, and understand the value of paying for it, you'll understand Shula's. This is not a discount steak shop. It's a carnivore's dining experience. Reservations are ready at the time agreed. Staff is welcoming and attentive. If you're a return customer, you know what you want and how you want it prepared, order at your pace. Same is true for "newbies", however if you are not familiar with Shula's, it may be good to listen to the brief description of choices, as well as the presentation of beef selections available. Impressive story, impressive cuts of meat and impressively prepared. Enjoy. I do.

Although the gf menu isn't mentioned on Shula's website, it's mentioned on Open Table. The gf menu offers a variety of steak, fish, side-dishes, salads and a few desserts. Our servers seemed well-trained, attentive without being intrusive, and pleasant regardless of our table not ordering anything from the bar. Our table of 4 ordered steak, seafood and one vegetarian meal made up of just side dishes. Side dishes are all "family style" and feed from 2 to 4 people. Overall, we had a nice experience at the restaurant. Be prepared, cost of the meal racks up fast. Each ice tea refill is a separate charge, etc. Several Dessert orders require 20 min. prep time, so you commit to order before you're sure you'll have room. Dessert was average.

From cocktails to dessert ... One if the best steakhouses. Obviously pricey but you get what you pay for! Great wine list and speciality cocktails...if you are not outrageously hungry - the beef tip APPT is more than enough for dinner with a salad or side...save room for dessert...some great choices. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
