  • "Was my birthday i made them aware i though that my entree would be free however, only after register with shulas website for 1 year that on your birthday you may have a diner entree free of charges. I would also appreciated that the server sing happy birthday since they were aware it was my birthday"

  • "As usual the cuisine was excellent. The Cowboy Ribeye Oscar is simply the best. The steak was cut to excellence and prepared perfectly medium. The server, Clement is ALWAYS a pleasure and is the only waiter that prefer when dining here. I usually visit Shula's On the Beach two or three times a year. I have never had a bad experience at this place."

  • "We arrived around 10am for brunch. The restaurant had a choice of buffet or ordering ala carte from the menu. We opted for the menu. It took 20 minutes before the server took our order even though the restaurant was fairly empty and most everyone in restaurant were opting fir Buffett. The food came about 30 minutes later. The eggs Benedict and omelet were way overlooked. Getting the check took another 20 minutes . Would definitely not recommend this restaurant. Even though we had $30 to spend each morning for breakfast because of hotel status we opted to not return since the experience was so bad."

  • "We've been here about 4 times before and the service is consistently poor.. We only come back because the food is always excellent. But we won't go back anymore. The restaurant was extremely slow - only 2 other tables occupied inside and about 8 outside. There were at least 3 wait staff. We asked for ice water with lemon & when the food server brought it without lemon we asked for them. He replied it wasn't his responsibility & we have to ask our waiter, which we did a 2nd time. After our 1st course was served, we had to wave our arms to "flag down" our waiter as he was busy socializing with the attractive hostess and would never look in the direction of our table. After the 3rd request, he brought us our lemons. Not going back ever!"

  • "My family and I went to Shula's on the beach and were immediately impressed at the ambiance. It really is a beautiful location; I wish I was as impressed with the quality of dining. You have a certain expectation when you pay the prices of these meals, but the ends didn't justify the means. My wife ordered a steak that was over cooked and her lobster tail was rubber and tasteless. My steak was better, but still over cooked and if it hadn't been for the blue cheese crumbles I ordered, I don't think the meat would have been desirable either. The shinning light was my sister-in-law's scallops which were "divine". The service, however, was dull listless and the waiter didn't seem to know what was on the menu. I wish it was better."

  • "If you want a nice, simple, well executed dining experience, Shulas is it. The food was done well and the service was pleasant and very professional. If there was only one thing I felt could be improved, I would say to maybe offer a couple different ccuts of steak that were "Prime" grade. Although my steak was prepared perfectly as I asked, it was a little tough and I could taste the "less than best" quality in the flavor of the meat. Black Angus is not what restaurants make it to be. It only a marketing ploy. Offer a great tasting Prime Grade steak and let your diners decide. The Key Lime Pie was as good as any I've ever had!! Overall, very nice dinner."

  • "food and service was top-notch. second time at this restaurant, and 4th shula's visit overall. honestly, if the price was more reasonable, i'd go back more often, but it's my go-to restaurant for all special occasions"

  • "The ambiance was great. Nice beach view and fans for comfy outdoor dining. Crab mac and cheese is a must! Service was just ok and that goes for waiter and hostess. But that didn't ruin the evening."

  • "We had a great time. While my steak was well overlooked and was a bit of annoyance because my wife and I could not enjoy our dinner at the same time, because I had to wait in a new steak. Mario did his absolute best to fix the situation. Thank you."

  • "Our experience at Shula's on the Beach was flawless. Amazing food and luxurious service. I took my girlfriend out to celebrate our anniversary and we will definitely be back again to celebrate future anniversaries. By the way, be sure to order a steak because you will be amazed, guaranteed."

  • "The food was good. We had salad and a good steak. I was disappointed that I found a rolled up piece of plastic in my Shulas House Salad. I showed the waiter and he said he would take it back to the kitchen and show them. I also told the Metradee and he asked if I told the waiter and I said yes. I was surprised that money wasn't taken off for the plastic in my salad and also noting was done for our 45 wedding anniversary which the waiter knew about ahead of time because I wrote it in my E mail ahead of time."

  • "Dined here on a Saturday Night with a reservation. The waiter was helpful. The wine list was electronic, very frustrating to use since they need to get the bugs out. One unit froze, the other locked out and required a password. We finally managed to get wine on order. Paper list as a back up would be suggested! The food was good, but nothing over the top when compared to other steak houses."

  • "I had the beet salad (which was excellent), the shellfish combination appetizer (which was not great), and I split some sautéed spinach. Add one cocktail and my bill was $70 including tip: ouch. "

  • "Visited Shula's on Ft Lauderdale Beach for a birthday celebration, and the event was most pleasurable. First of all, our server, Nicole, was the epitome of professionalism and friendliness, providing terrific service and conversation! She is a definite asset to the restaurant! The BBQ shrimp appetizer and the scallop entree were presented beautifully and were delicious. The cowboy steak was cooked to perfection. The surprise of the night was the complimentary chocolate lava dessert given to us because of my husband's birthday. A very nice touch! We plan to revisit soon and of course, look forward to sitting in Nicole's area again."

  • "I know that Shula's doesn't control the weather, but Saturday night was perfect in so many ways - beautiful venue, great food, wonderful attentive server (David), & clear skies with a breeze - perfect for outdoor dining!"

  • "Dinner was wonderful, steaks cooked perfectly and everything was tasty. The only thing that wasn't done well was the hash brown potato, overdone and hard. Overall very good."

  • "We celebrated Mother's Day, a birthday & an anniversary. We had a table by the window, which was perfect. We were able to enjoy the view without the wind. Dinner was delish. The service was fantastic. And on the way in we saw thee Don, yes Don Shula. He said "see, I eat at my own place". Warm & friendly, like his staff."

  • "A very good steak restaurant. It is not inexpensive but the service and food are worth the price provided one understands they are not going to leave the restaurant for under $100.00 for two. Choice of in door or outdoor seating makes dining at the beach in Ft Lauderdale a treat as there is little concern for how the weather might be on the day you go. We had the prime rib and a filet, both were cooked to our liking and were very favor full. The prime rib was a large cut so we were able to have some for breakfast the next day. We enjoyed a great bottle of wine "McMurray Pinot Noir" and the wine list is great, but like most restaurants of this caliber; the prices are on the high side. "

  • "We stayed at the hotel and went down for dinner. We had read good reviews and thought it would be a good idea. Unfortunately, when the bread (which was really amazing) is the most memorable thing about the dinner, it's not good. We're foodies...we constantly dine out at venues of all price ranges, so we had certain expectations at their price range. We had the BBQ Shrimp as an App and the sauce that they use overpowered the shrimp and the bacon entirely. We moved on to a filet mignon, which was OK, but nothing special and the pistachio crusted grouper (at the recommendation of the server), which was pretty bland. We had the lobster mashed potatoes, which were again a disappointment. The drinks were Ok. Wouldn't go back unfortunately."

  • "My wife and I come to this wonderful place a few times a year. Our last experience was for our anniversary. I made the reservation for 7. We showed up at 6:50 and were seated by 6:55. The staff is very professional and accommodating every time. The food is always amazing. My wife always gets the Steak Mary Ann ( Shula's twist on the traditional Dianne). I tend to venture around the menu. This time I opted for the 22 oz cowboy bone in ribeye. Both were amazing. The drinks are what you ask for. Not watered down or cheaply made. Overall we will always go back to Shulas on the Beach. "

  • "The food was excellent. They seemed understaffed the night we went. The service did not live up to expectations. Our waiter was handling too many tables and the bus boy did not help the waiter as much as he should have that evening. "

  • "I believe they need to take few pointers from Other high end restaurants like Capital Grille. The food was just ok and service was not that great after paying over $300.00 for diner. Prime Rib was not bad but allot of fat and crab mac and cheese was just ok. "
    Dined on 4/26/2014
  • "Have eaten at other Shula's, which were better. Portion sizes different (smaller) than other Shula's. Service was indifferent and did not appear to care whether our party of 5 liked it or not. "
    Dined on 4/26/2014
  • "Knew it would be expensive and we were alright with that, but we expected that, for the price, it would be outstanding and it was just forgettable. As soon as our waiter got a table with 6 patrons ( bigger potential tip) we were forgotten. I am a good tipper, (usually at least 20%)and will tip well for good service. This is the first time in years that I left less than 15% on purpose. The food was good , not great. We were so excited to find ourselves with time in Ft. Lauderdale, and jumped at the opportunity to eat at Shula's. If they ever open in Seattle I won't go. The Metropolitan Grill knows how to cook steak and more importantly, how to serve it."
