Our second time to Shula's was amazing! It was my wife's birthday and a card with all the staff's signitures was presented, and it made her night. They had a steakhouse cut 20oz. K.C Strip as a special that was phenomenal. Service was above and beyond good. This is my new favorite place!

  • Not at all what I expected.
    OpenTable Diner Since 2010

Not at all what I expected. More like a sports bar which is nothing like the Shula's Steak House atmosphere. Very disappointed. Went there for an anniversary and it's the farthest thing from romantic. Loud, plus relatively new and employees that couldn't figure out who was our server so they swapped in the middle and explained that we had the wrong server because they got mixed up on which table was assigned to which server. Limited draft beer selection, only a few upscale trendy brands but no light beer on draft. Wouldn't see any reason to go back...can go to Friday's or Chili's and do better at one third the price. $39 steak was average at best.

Came to "Don Shulas" for Valentines Day. Loved the look and feel of the place. Food and the service was outstanding. The only drawback was that the restaurant is located in a hotel, which means that parents bring their small children into the place. Love children but not in a place like this! I do not even think that there is any children's items on the menu. This will not keep us fron going back at all. Great place!

We had a reservation & were seated immediately when we arrived (5 min early). We sat at a booth that was comfortable & private. Our server, George, was fantastic. He was professional & helpful but not intrusive or pushy. We did not feel rushed & took our time ordering & eating. There was a mistake in one of our orders (mashed potato on the plate instead of the ordered baked potato), but it was corrected within a couple of minutes. We were a little worried after reading the reviews, but decided we would try it for ourselves. We have been to the Shula's at the Dolphin and enjoyed it, & we were pleasantly surprised at our experience here in Lake Mary. The filet was excellent quality and service was great. We will definitely return.

Staff was attentive and lots of them about. Decor is classy, although there are TV's mounted in a few places. Seemed out of place, but the volume was low and heck, the namesake probably wanted to be sure diners could follow the NFL. My ahi tuna was great, but hubby's tile fish special was skimpy. Excellent presentation. Nice beer and wine list. We'll go back.

Special Happy Hour appetizers at the bar were enticing. Caprese salad and Asian Shrimp were great choices for our starters. Fresh fish was Seared Grouper. We also had a Vegetable plate that included 5 different fresh and seasonal vegetables (it was fantastic). It sounded so good we had to order it. Skipped dessert. Wine selection by the glass were good portions. Definitely not a Shula's "steakhouse" and prices were much more affordable so we can dine here more frequently. No tablecloths. Similar to Houstons. Just a great new place with good food. Service was prompt and attentive. Free Valet was nice on a cold night. We had an inside booth which was fine but will ask for Window seating next time. Love Open Table for reservations. No waiting!

Made reservation for birthday dinner, then read multiple reviews.I was concerned that there was no middle of the road reviews; more leaned to the negative. We almost cancelled due to reviews, but prefered to make own opinion. So we experienced extremely friendly & efficient valet.George, our wait staff was excellent, drink & food order was timely, prepared as requested;New York Strips.Everything was better than good.Due to mixed reviews we made effort to observe other diners. All looked relaxed as if they were having a good experience. All the different foods served looked very good, service was timely&friendly for all.It is not Ruth'sChris or DelFrisco; wood, steel and glass create a more upscale sports bar feel,a great alternative. We'll go back.

Very disappointing. The food and service were laughably bad. It took ten minutes for them to locate the bottle of wine we ordered. The $28 flat-iron steak was far too chewy and the spice rub on it was raw. When the waitress asked why I hardly touched it, I told her it simply hadn't been done well. She said, "but you ordered it medium rare." When the manager came over I told him the steak was simply not what we expected from a Shula's, he said this was Was only the "347", not the "real Shula's".

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 1/21/2010
Having been to Shulas Steak House in Tampa, we were rather disappointed in Shulas Grill. The food was at best OK, the noise level from the bar was annoying, and the pricing was in my opinion out of line for the experience and quality. The service was again OK, but the server needed more experience in being attentive and how to handle a bottle of wine. We had just started our first glass of wine when she returned and poured out the rest of the bottle into our glasses, giving us a 3/4 full glass or red wine to finish the meal. Again being a grill, perhaps we expected too much, but there was no bread offered or even crackers to go with our salad and soup as appetizers. We left disappointed and will probably not return.

Shula's 347 is not a Steakhouse like the other Shula's. It's located in the new Westin hotel in Lake Mary. It's a blend of an open and inviting Bistro type atmosphere. The menu featured some of the same steaks that Shula's Steakhouse is known for but I was sold on the Fresh Fish of the day (Sea Bass) and a Vegetable Plate (what?). Yes, a Vegetable Plate! There were 5 different vegetables cleverly created. The Maple Squash and Rapini were delicious and I wanted more. I had dinner at the Bar and Preston the bartender was great! I also had lunch the same day and their prices were a good value. Friendly service and not pretentious. I will definitely return on my next visit to Orlando.

This is by far one of the best steakhouses in the Orlando / Lake Mary area. My guest had the NY strip and it was superb, cooked to perfection. I had the filet mignon and you could cut it with a fork. The flavors of the steaks were the best I have had. I do not want to neglect the bbq shrimp we had as a starter, they were outstanding. The service was terrific, the way the hostess as well as the servers used my name was very welcoming. The extensive wine list seemed to have all the wines I have in my home collection, it was great. I would highly recommend Shula's 347!

We had a reservation at 7pm on Friday. We arrived at the Westin and valet parked. We checked in and found seats in the lounge at 6:15. After waiting 15 minutes without seeing a waiter, I recognized a Manager and called her over. She brought us to a cocktail table in the lounge and sent a server over. He took our drink and appetizer order which arrived at 7:05 - a full 50 minutes after we arrived, also meaning that we'd only have one drink on Happy Hour pricing. The appetizer order was only 1/3 correct. We felt ignored at dinner, despite the 5 different people that served us. The "asst coach" apologized at least 4 times. This is the 3rd time i've eaten at this Shula's; the valet is the best employee here. Svc so bad, who cares about the food

The service & the food was poor. We were rushed to be seated & then rushed through the order & dinner. Wine list limited & expensive. Overcharged for a bottle that was cheaper by the glass. Franciscan Cabernet Sauvignon was $14 a glass & they charged me $78 for the bottle. The waiter also split the cork opening the bottle. Four of us had steak (Shula's Cut) & the NY Strips were terrible - hard gristle throughout. I asked for a quiet table condusive to conversation with friends. We were seated at the worst table in the restaurant. A booth directly in front of the kitchen and next to the bar. There was even a tv on the wall blaring with a football game. The manager never visited our table to check on us. Definitely not worth the $338!!!
