"We actually weren't very impressed with Shrine. It's a fun place and great to go for groups, but our dinner was just OK. Only 2 out of 6 of us actually really liked what we ordered. I don't think we will be back. I didn't think the sushi was that great, and 2 of my friends ordered the fried rice bowl and it was basically all rice, no meat. We did complain about that and the wait staff/mgr was very accomodating."

"Have enjoyed Shrine for dinner many times. We especially enjoy dining outside in nice weather. Their menu is diverse and sushi is excellent. All-you-can-eat sushi from 5-7PM Monday thru Thursday is a good deal. The variety is limited howwever. The wait staff is very helpful if you are not familiar with this type of food. Highly recommend."

"We recently went to Shrine for Valentine's Day, having been there one other time for a drink. We felt that it was not a great value, as the food was far from spectacular. The music was extremely loud, and of a genre that would be found in a dance club late at night. I didn't think it was appropriate for a romantic dinner at 6PM, especially since there were older couples present."

"We really enjoyed our meal at Shrine during our visit to MGM Grand at Foxwoods. Starting with the Tempura Green Beans and Duck Buns to the Flattened Chicken on Scallion Pancakes, everything was excellent. The service was attentive, but not to the extreme. We visit Foxwoods often and will surely return."

"I would have given the restaurant 5 stars except when we arrived for our reservation for our large party - which was to celebrate a birthday they seated us and only then 10 minutes after that we were told there was no sushi they ran out of sushi rice - I could understand if it was late in the night and a weekend night, but it was 7pm and a weeknight. Not only did we drive 2.5 hours for this "sushi restaurant" It was also upsetting to see people next to us who had clearly just gotten their sushi plates - if they JUST ran out why didn't the host on the phone tell me this when I called an hour prior to confirm that everything was all set, or the hostess at the door who sat us - probably something she should have mentioned.
