Shokudo is a great addition to the Design District area of Miami and extends the trend of an accessible neighborhood vibe mixed with culinary smarts.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic FindThe hostess and the servers were really nice, and as my wife entered the restaurant the chef greeted her at the podium and took her wet raincoat. At the time, she did not realize he was the chef, whose background includes Boulevard in San Francisco and Daniel in NYC.
We loved everything that we ordered which consisted of:
NY Spicy Tuna Roll
We each had a glass Estancia Chardonnay for only $3.25 per glass during Happy Hour which lasts until 7:30 pm.
Next time, we will keep trying different menu items because so many other dishes on the menu looked delicious.
Valet parking attendant was top notch.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMPan-Asian Success!Shokudo successfully offers a variety of Asian foods: dumplings(including curry potato ... a must!), folded "bun" appetizers,

I love the menu for it's variety of innovative Asian cuisine which includes, Japanese ( sushi, noodles. etc), Vietnamese ( Duck a'la orange), Korean (Bibimbap),Hawaiian( Poke). The desserts are also quite good and worth trying.
The patio, the interior and sake bar each have their own ambience with subtle lighting and comfortable seating.
Highly recommend!3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
