A word from Shiro of Japan - The Shops @ Atlas Park
Shiro of Japan has the reputation for providing patrons with an exceptional and authentic Japanese dining experience at affordable prices. The restaurant has more than a thirty year tradition of setting dining trends and providing exceptional service.

Shiro of Japan was founded on the tradition of “true” Japanese hibachi steak house, a concept that introduced America to the cooking art form known as teppanyaki. In Japanese, teppan means an “iron plate” or a “steel sheet,” and yaki, “stir-fried food” or “stir-frying.” The teppanyaki and hibachi styles, come together to create a mouth-watering form of cuisine that continues to increase in popularity in the New York region and across the nation. Note, when making an online reservation please specify Hibachi or our main dining room.Continued

  • "Recommended by friend. Hibachi chef is an apprentice and the food he cook is very salty and the noodle taste awful like soy sauce. Steak is tasteless. Fried rice is below average.. Order an order of Dragon roll - not up to standard yet. Good atmosphere and the staffs are very polite and friendly."

  • "Food was excellent we made reservations but had to wait at least a half hour before being seated. There guy that took our order seemed new messed up a few things but not bad"

  • "Although the food was good, we waited a long time for the table, a long time for service and a long time for the check. Restaurant seemed to be overtaxed. Recommend only going when you have a leisurely time. It made it particularly hard for a hungry child and more stressful than it should have been."

  • "Japanese style restaurant without a Asian chef was just wrong. Food was horrible very salty dry and everything taste the same. Been here many times over the years and this was the worst dinner.I dont know if we would come back unless we could request a different chef."

  • "Service was better than the food. I will not return."

  • "The food at the hibachi was fine however there absolutely needs to be a policy in place for there fixed price hibachi dinner when a customer has a food allergy. One in my party has an allergy to shellfish therefore couldn't eat the shrimp appetizer. The manager could offer no solution other than "don't eat it" or "give your shrimp to someone else at the table". That made no sense and ruined our experience."

  • "Looks like a great place, but was sadly disappointing the food was not very good and the service was even worse, felt like a fast food experience not a restaurant and I will never go back there"
