ShinbashiLoved the shabu-shabu experience.Loved the shabu-shabu experience. It reminded my friend and I when we were in Japan.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMA different spin on Japanese fareWe really enjoyed the special Omakase 8 course dinner presentation and tastes. As soon as we sat down, our server brought hot towels to the table to refresh ourselves. The chef choice dinner included a mini appetizer of a broccoli rabe type green marinated in a light broth, assortment of three sashimi, cubed rib-eye steak (tender but a little chewy) a piece of seafood and chicken steamed in a clay pot with a generous helping of "meaty" mushrooms (fun to eat and sip the rich broth from small clay cups) assortment of three tempura with a white radish garnish, three pieces of nigiri, a rich full-bodied red miso soup, and a dessert of ice cream with a wonderful red bean.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMSerious Foodies Give Thumbs UpFood and service top notch. For a reasonably priced Japanese-dining experience, this is the place to be. A vibrant mix of casual and business diners as well as couples looking for a romantic retreat. We had the 8-course omakase dinner for two. Each course appeared in prompt succession; service was attentive and friendly and the quality was outstanding. This coming from card-carrying international foodies is high praise indeed. The room, while architecturally appealing, is in need of repair.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGood FoodIt happens to be in the building where I work so I tried it and now I keep going back.
