It was a memorable occasion for me as my parents honeymooned at the hotel nearly 40 years ago. We were in SD for a conference at a different hotel, but we had to go see where it all started for my parents. I would highly recommend the restaurant as it was a wonderful experience regardless of my walk down memory lane. Our waiter was excellent and I watched him with several other tables as well as our own. I would definitely recommend it to others. The food is good and consistent. The new layout of the buffet makes it easy to navigate and find your favorite foods. There is always a good variety of food. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly. Upon arrival we were treated with anniversary wishes. The staff, including the restaurant manager, could not have been nicer throughout evening. We both had fish and it was excellent. We were a group of 9, including two 12 year olds. The service was very good and we were especially appreciative of the fact that the restaurant held our reservation even though Coronado traffic made us a few minutes late. The menu had something to please everyone and the food was delicious. The view from Sheerwaters is truly spectacular and we all enjoyed a beautiful celebration. I had the halibut and it was cooked to perfection. We had a great time and the restaurant allowed us to bring in our own cake and they served it after the bride and groom cut it. We were outside with a heater due to the ocean breeze. The heater kept us all at the perfect tenmperature so we were able to stay outside for the entire evening. The outdoor and indoor dining is very nice and the view toward the Bay is lovely. We were especially impressed with the wait staff who were very nice and accommodating. One waiter took time to talk to an excited young boy at the table next to us about his experience at Lego Land.
