"Shaw's Crab House in Schaumburg provides only a fair experience. I had the horseradish crusted halibut and my wife ordered the seafood platter which featured shrimp, scallops and a crab cake. Both entrees were fair though each failed to provide much flavor. Service was adequate but not particularly responsive or informative when we had questions regarding the menu. The restaurant was full on a Tuesday evening so many must enjoy the Shaw's experience but we found it over-priced for the quality of food and service."

"Very good food and great service. Varied menu and OK wine list. A little too noisy and too many kids to have an intimate relaxed dining experience. While tasty, the lobster bisque contained thin noodles which was a little strange. Overall, pricey, the food may be worth it but the ambiance is lacking"

"Each one of us had an excellent fish entre'. The Parmesan-crusted Haddock was outstanding. The service was excellent. Our waiter was enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable. We appreciated not being rushed and enjoyed a long, liesurely dinner."

"Website is not up to date & hostess agreed but didn't care to inform anyone about it, bit of an attitude & didn't look me in the eyes. Pricey but where else can you get good seafood in Chicago with a more modern atmosphere? There's Dover Straits which is where my grandparents go, so it's a more mature crowd. Would return only in a very special occasion."
