"Even though the waiter originally Provided similar sized 1st course and 2nd course goat cheese pasta dish to my friends, he immediately corrected the charge and charged both as first course when prompted to. Nonetheless, he could have noticed the blatant similarity between the sizes of both dishes and changed the dish size. That was a turn off. Nonetheless, the food itself, ambiance, impressive wine and beer menu, and camaraderie are a plus."

"Had a fabulous dining experience here on Sat the 31st. I did the pre fixe with pairings which is a great deal, wines were superb. Asked the waiter if I could substitute the farro for the risotto and it was no problem at all. Scallops were perfect, white asparagus divine. Husband had the hanger steak and my mom the roast chicken, all terrific. But, do not miss the bread pudding with caramel sauce, worth the drive from D.C. Highly recommend this sweet gem of a restaurant."

"Food was fantastic..tasty and well presented. Waiter was prompt and knowledgeable. We sat by a drafty window on a windy day and the wooden seats were not the most comfortable. That was the only down side to a perfect dinner. Will definitely return."

"This is the 7th or 8th time I've been back to SRB. I love the ambiance, but the food has always been sub par. I read some recent reviews that said the food had improved with the new chef, so we gave it another try. The food was better, but still WAY overpriced. My husband had the goat cheese ravioli (which was good) but left hungry. My nephew ordered a salad as his entree, and was brought a small side salad. The arctic char was dry but the pureed fennel so good!

The service is always bad. There was 1 waiter and 1 bartender. We had a table of 9 and there may have been about 8 other people there. So no reason for poor service and the bartender never came to help check on tables."

"The service was excellent; the server was quite helpful in navigating food allergies and knows the menu very well. I could spend much time in the wine list but it is well laid out.

My partner said that her fillet was as fine as she's had anywhere, and the potatoes were amazing. My ravioli with goat cheese was beautifully seasoned with sage and bathed in a butter mushroom sauce. I'd feared it would be heavy or too rich but "cloud=like" describes it's texture and transportive flavor.
