  • "This restaurant is definitely a Louisville gem. The food is beautifully prepared and elegantly presented. It is well worth the price, which is relatively high. A note about the excellent service: one of my dinner companions found a hair on the lemon that accompanied her bison empanadas. Not only did our server take the plate back, but he also served her a complimentary bowl of gazpacho for her to savor while waiting for the replacement appetizer. The new, piping hot empanadas came in pretty good order. We also got several apologies from our server, the maitre d', and others. This kind of response is evidence of a very professionally run restaurant. Nextg time I visit my kids, I will take them out to dinner here again."

The manager did turn the volume down a bit, it was blasting before I requested that the volume be reduced. Cauliflower salad was just the treat for foodies."

  • "Hadn't been back to Seviche in several months & had a chance to go with some friends just moving back into town. Awesome experience. Great service the entire stay - bartenders, host/hostess & server - all top notch, extremely accommodating & helpful. We tried as much as we could - guacamole, seviche, drink specials... all lights out. I went with my fav (and recommended to my friend) - the skirt steak, Churrascos De Argentina, w extra chimichurri (I've actually ordered a quart of this stuff to go before, it's that good...). The girls both had the Macadamia Crusted Pacific Halibut - also excellent. All in all perfect experience. Anthony has built this place into one of the most superior eateries in the entire region."

  • " On a recent Saturday evening I visited Seviche on a Saturday evening. Only early reservation were available; by the time the meal was over, Seviche was really busy. Positives - valet parking; friendly efficient wait staff was helpful in menu selection and attentive at the table; ambience was energetic and upbeat, but is the food that makes Seviche now one of my favorites. The perfectly prepared and savory PEI mussels, to the chef's signature oyster dish, were outstanding appetizers; entrees were very excellent (both dishes ordered were seafood items), perfectly prepared and deliciously Latin in character; the passion fruit mousse was a delightful conclusion to the meal. Definitely will return."

  • "My first time at Seviche was with a dear friend I haven't seen for 32 years and we knew we wanted a venue with fantastic "celebration" food, quiet atmosphere, and outstanding service. We found it all here. Every dish was a celebration of flavor and elegant presentation. The Manager Hap takes customer service over the top. When we arrived, Hap greeted us and asked if there were any ingredients we just don't like or food allergies of concern. There are fine restaurants in Louisville where the chef will adjust entrees for individual preferences, but this is the very first time a manager has asked up front. We stated our preferences and nothing was served with the offending ingredients. Such attention to detail... Outstanding Experience!"

  • "Portion sizes aee invredibly small for the amount you pay. For an appetizer we got the mussels, usually a favorite of mine but they were too salty and not like ones I have enjoyed in the past. I ordered an old fashioned gin too drink and it was way watered down. The scallops I ordered for my meal were good but I was left hungry after only getting three and only a few little pieces of corn and lima beans came with it. Im talking enough to fill yoir dinner spoon once. I dont think you should ever leave a resturuant hungry when you spend more than $200. Was excited to eat there but will not be back. The atmosphere and service were nice though."

Everything from the appetizers through the dessert was a unique expression in presentation, flavor, and portion. In addition, we were seated outside and just happened to pick a night that was perfect in temperature. The tables were far enough apart from the other guests that we were able to focus on our table guests and not struggle to hear one another and focus on our time together. The final part was the service - we loved our server and her professionalism while maintaining a quick wit that made us feel at home. This was an EXCELLENT experience! Highly recommend Seviche!"

We celebrated a 30th birthday (which I included in my reservation notes through OT) and the experience was anything but for the first-time visiting birthday girl. Our server seemed disinterested and completely inattentive and never once mentioned the celebration. She took our drink orders then whisked the menus away before we could object, when the drinks arrived they were watered down and mediocre and blamed it on a large party that was just sat (although we placed our order prior to the party arriving as we saw them walk in) our food was delivered quickly but wasn't overwhelming or impressive as it typically is."

No pressure... I am happy to report Seviche did not disappoint. The best features of the menu are the varied and creative creations of seviche (not surprising) and if I have a chance to dine there again, I would skip the entrée. A generous mixed drink and good wine list complimented the meal. "

  • "We were at Seviche twice in the past two weeks and both times the food was disappointing. The chicken came out raw and when it came back from the kitchen it was burnt. The wagu steak (the most expensive item on the menu) was a very flat, thin steak and also disappointing. There seems to be a lack of attention or some sort of cost-cutting measures in the kitchen but our server was fantastic."

Simply inattentive servers- 15 minutes (not exaggerating) between being seated and having our server approach our table to take a drink order; water glasses reaching empty; being informed that a particular entree was unavailable, but not until 20 minutes after order was placed. Details that make all the difference in the world. We hope Chef Lamas can find the fixes. His food is far too creative and delicious to be soured by average service."
