Diner Reviews
  • "Had a special dinner to celebrate my friend's birthday. We both enjoyed it and will go back!"

  • "We were passing thru on our way to the Indy 500 and stopped by for dinner. We were so impressed with the food, very creative and just plain excellent! Will definitely eat here again next time we visit Louisville."

  • "Seviche is one of my favorite restaurants, and In Louisville there are so many good places to eat. Aside from the level of volume of the music it was an excellent experience. The manager did turn the volume down a bit, it was blasting before I requested that the volume be reduced. Cauliflower salad was just the treat for foodies."

  • "Hadn't been back to Seviche in several months & had a chance to go with some friends just moving back into town. Awesome experience. Great service the entire stay - bartenders, host/hostess & server - all top notch, extremely accommodating & helpful. We tried as much as we could - guacamole, seviche, drink specials... all lights out. I went with my fav (and recommended to my friend) - the skirt steak, Churrascos De Argentina, w extra chimichurri (I've actually ordered a quart of this stuff to go before, it's that good...). The girls both had the Macadamia Crusted Pacific Halibut - also excellent. All in all perfect experience. Anthony has built this place into one of the most superior eateries in the entire region."

  • "Seviche is an experience which I have and will continue to indulge myself over and over. The food, albeit moderate portions, is great. The wine list excellent albeit not great, the range of foods broad and the service truly excellent."

  • "The title says it all, this restaurant lives up to the hype and reputation by providing fabulous food in a great atmosphere with great service."
    Dined on 6/25/2014
  • "Back again for our anniversary dinner. Both ordered fish tacos and they were splendid. The champagne by glass was just the right touch. Must get the prepared-by-the-table custom guacamole - fabulous. Very busy for a Wednesday night, but waitstaff was excellent and very attentive."

  • "Friends and I ate there this past Saturday and had an incredible meal! The big eye tuna is fabulous! I would recommend all thee I items."

  • " On a recent Saturday evening I visited Seviche on a Saturday evening. Only early reservation were available; by the time the meal was over, Seviche was really busy. Positives - valet parking; friendly efficient wait staff was helpful in menu selection and attentive at the table; ambience was energetic and upbeat, but is the food that makes Seviche now one of my favorites. The perfectly prepared and savory PEI mussels, to the chef's signature oyster dish, were outstanding appetizers; entrees were very excellent (both dishes ordered were seafood items), perfectly prepared and deliciously Latin in character; the passion fruit mousse was a delightful conclusion to the meal. Definitely will return."

  • "This was our first time to Seviche, but we will be back! All of the food we had was amazing. We had the beef empanadas for an appetizer, for the main meal I had scallops and ky husband had chicken. The waiter was great at explaining the menu."

  • "Time for a date night. Everyone needs a date night on occasion, even us 60ish year olds. Outstanding food and service. We would highly recommend Seviche."

  • "My first time at Seviche was with a dear friend I haven't seen for 32 years and we knew we wanted a venue with fantastic "celebration" food, quiet atmosphere, and outstanding service. We found it all here. Every dish was a celebration of flavor and elegant presentation. The Manager Hap takes customer service over the top. When we arrived, Hap greeted us and asked if there were any ingredients we just don't like or food allergies of concern. There are fine restaurants in Louisville where the chef will adjust entrees for individual preferences, but this is the very first time a manager has asked up front. We stated our preferences and nothing was served with the offending ingredients. Such attention to detail... Outstanding Experience!"

  • "This restaurant is charming and great for people watching. Everyone at our table had great food. My halibut and crab cigar was especially delicious. The sangria was very good. Our waiter was attentive. And it was a perfect evening for dining outside."

  • "Portion sizes aee invredibly small for the amount you pay. For an appetizer we got the mussels, usually a favorite of mine but they were too salty and not like ones I have enjoyed in the past. I ordered an old fashioned gin too drink and it was way watered down. The scallops I ordered for my meal were good but I was left hungry after only getting three and only a few little pieces of corn and lima beans came with it. Im talking enough to fill yoir dinner spoon once. I dont think you should ever leave a resturuant hungry when you spend more than $200. Was excited to eat there but will not be back. The atmosphere and service were nice though."

  • "At most restaurants the food is good, but not necessarily notable - not so with Seviche! Everything from the appetizers through the dessert was a unique expression in presentation, flavor, and portion. In addition, we were seated outside and just happened to pick a night that was perfect in temperature. The tables were far enough apart from the other guests that we were able to focus on our table guests and not struggle to hear one another and focus on our time together. The final part was the service - we loved our server and her professionalism while maintaining a quick wit that made us feel at home. This was an EXCELLENT experience! Highly recommend Seviche!"

  • "After combing through many reviews of various restaurants, I selected Seviche for a dinner for six, all of us in town for business and from major US cities known for great restaurants. No pressure... I am happy to report Seviche did not disappoint. The best features of the menu are the varied and creative creations of seviche (not surprising) and if I have a chance to dine there again, I would skip the entrée. A generous mixed drink and good wine list complimented the meal. "

  • "Our visit was less than desirable from a restaurant which typically delivers an excellent experience. We celebrated a 30th birthday (which I included in my reservation notes through OT) and the experience was anything but for the first-time visiting birthday girl. Our server seemed disinterested and completely inattentive and never once mentioned the celebration. She took our drink orders then whisked the menus away before we could object, when the drinks arrived they were watered down and mediocre and blamed it on a large party that was just sat (although we placed our order prior to the party arriving as we saw them walk in) our food was delivered quickly but wasn't overwhelming or impressive as it typically is."

  • "A visit to this restaurant takes you on a journey of flavor. The seviche is the best I've had, and everything from a skirt steak to mahi mahi tacos is amazing. If you see a special of the day, I recommend trying it. I've never been disappointed!"

  • "Once again we experienced a wonderful dinner at Seviche's. The service and food were excellent! We can't wait for our next visit."

  • "Emma(Emily) I'm pretty sure was the name of our server, and she was excellent. I was meeting someone there for business, and just a nice friendly dinner. The ambience is always nice for any occasion. Even though I didn't eat out on the patio, the area is nice being off to the side of the main street of traffic. Food was excellent, wine choices were superb. "

  • "We were at Seviche twice in the past two weeks and both times the food was disappointing. The chicken came out raw and when it came back from the kitchen it was burnt. The wagu steak (the most expensive item on the menu) was a very flat, thin steak and also disappointing. There seems to be a lack of attention or some sort of cost-cutting measures in the kitchen but our server was fantastic."

  • "Great meal to share with friends who recently bought a new house! We had not been there in a long time and it was as good as we remembered!"

  • "Such an adventure every time we go, the specials are Very Special!!"
    Dined on 5/9/2014
  • "Our favorite restaurant in the Highlands, including Jack Fry's. The service we've received the last several visits is average at best. Simply inattentive servers- 15 minutes (not exaggerating) between being seated and having our server approach our table to take a drink order; water glasses reaching empty; being informed that a particular entree was unavailable, but not until 20 minutes after order was placed. Details that make all the difference in the world. We hope Chef Lamas can find the fixes. His food is far too creative and delicious to be soured by average service."

  • "The food was good, but at the same time very expensive so it better be. The menu was short, and confusing, even after the waitress tried to explain part of it. I was there were more food options."

  • "We went for a special birthday and enjoyed our dinner. Not a place you can go every day as it is a little pricey for Louisville. Good experience though. "

  • "Amazing food and attentive wait staff. We sat outside on a Saturday night so it was a little noisy, but that was to be expected on Bardstown Rd. "

  • "My family and I enjoyed all of our meals with the exception of the swordfish, which was overcooked and therefore dry. They replace it with desires ribeye and took of $10 for the inconvenience. Ambience was nice, a little to dark as I like to see my food and we had a vagrant some how make it to our table and ask for money? Other than that it was nice. Would definitely go back."

  • "First time going to Seviche for dinner. We had a platter of 5 different seviches prepared that we shared. Beautiful presentation, delicious taste, edible art! We paired our great food with 1/2 bottle of wine on Sunday evening. That made it even better. Hard to not smile with you are drinking sparking wine at 1/2 price, eating amazing culinary treats, and enjoying great company. I will go back and soon. New fav in the Ville!"
