Sat out on the patio, wonderful weather. Had the ceviche tasting with each item colorful, unique and very tasty. Great bottle of wine and the adult kids had fun with a raspberry mojito's and a tres leche cake. We go to Seviche regularly and are NEVER disappointed; it is our "go to" restaurant for celebrations or impressing out of town guests. And its a Louisville Original! The wait staff know the menu inside and out and can make recommendations on the spot. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the salmon and striped bass dishes. Checking for a restaurant availability at 6:30 on Sunday it appeared as a choice and I decided to give it a try.
Appetizers were perfect with a nice spice. The seafood soup was unbelievable -- the best I ever had. The server's wine recommendation was very good. A last minute decision to try a dessert was a surprise as they have an excellent popcorn/ice cream which can't be described.

I really didn't want to pay a fortune for my meal and listen to the teenager sitting next to me tell about his weekend. The food here has always been great but since our last visit (less than 8 months) every single price has been raised - some of the appetizers went up by $5 a pop. Sure this is a great restaurant but it's also Louisville, not New York - they are pricing me out. Food was great - seviche, striped bass and the buffalo empanadas were our favorites. Caesar salad with pepitas was of the highest quality. Cocktails were strong and flavorful but the ultimate was the brown butter ice cream with frozen popcorn - to die for. We were celebrating our 40th Anniversary and Seviche is one of our favorites. The restaurant allowed us to use the private room even though there would only be 10 of us so we could "get a bit rowdy".

I requested a quiet corner seat since it was for our anniversary, but they put us elbow to elbow with other tables. Granted, it's not really a "romantic" type restaurant. But the service was excellent and so was the food. It was a warm evening, and chose to have dinner on the patio. The pork belly appetizer was wonderful, latin favors with just the right amount of heat. I chose a special, a suggestion by our waiter, the Brazilian fish stew. The broth was heaven - sweet, spicy, rich, and refreshing. I was tempted to raise my bowl and drink from it. The seafood within was all cooked to perfection. My husband ordered another special, the chorizo tacos. The chorizo is made in-house, it was flavorful and not a bit greasy.
