Without being pushy or invasive, there were two different hosts who stopped by our table to make sure that everything was to our liking and they made it very clear that they were there to make sure we had everything we needed. Our waiter, Tim, was incredible. He was extremely attentive and took professionalism to a whole new level. I would definitely visit again."

  • "The maitre d' stood discreetly out of our vision while our server went thru the table-side 1881 Omaha steak presentation, and then we heard him compliment her after. Liked that. Two of us took her recommendation, the bone-in Ribeye was incredible and well worth $55, the bone-in filet was juicy, but not too tender (a comment). All four entree's were good, the mushroom risotto (side) was excellent. Mussels for the appetizer seemed to take forever, but they were good, too. Solid wine list, but priced for a steakhouse and not for the casual diner. We were there for a 7:30 show. We'll go back when we have more time. Thumbs up."

  • "Food was excellent! Everything was absolutely delicious! The service was good but not what I would expect for the amount of money we spent. We all had menus that were a mixture of old and new. We ordered soup and salad. The soups came out first and before we could eat two bites the salads were delivered with the wrong dressing. We still had yet to put our main order in so it was a bit disjointed. I had arranged with the manager earlier on the phone for a special surprise for my son's birthday but that was never passed on to our server so I had to ask and while they did do something, it was not what I had wanted. The service did not live up to my expectations as it was no different than a chain but the food was delicious."

  • "My husband and I have been to Seven's several times now. It's where I prefer to go in the downtown area. I love that I can get great sushi and steak in the same place. I usually get the fillet cause it just melts in your mouth and it's even better with the sauces you can choose from. This place is great priced during restaurant week but a bit higher otherwise but comparable with the other steakhouses in the downtown area. We usually go there to splurge for special occasions and have loved it every time. The service, atmosphere, and food are all wonderful!"

This is the second time we have dined at Seven, The first time we ate there, we ordered the bone-in steak, and I have been thinking of it ever since. It was the best steak I have ever had. I couldn't wait to order it again, However, this time we ordered the bone-in filet, thinking that is what we had last time. It wasn't as flavorful as the last time. I'm thinking we had the bone-in ribeye last time, which I enjoyed more. Next time, that is what I will order. The black bread was excellent, and we really enjoyed the crab cakes. The house side salad, was just. o.k."

  • "Food was good to excellent. As expected for the prices. Main issues was the service. The service was slow. we had a 6:30 reservation and finally left around 10:30. Mainly due to slow service. Not sure if the server had all the tables or not, however, there were several misses. 1) general pacing was slow. 2) missed some drink orders. Just a note - a nice dinner normally we take 2-3 hours depending on conversation, but 4 hours on a Sunday evening is unusual. Again the food was excellent the steaks were tasty and cooked to medium rare."

  • "I guess all restaurants cooks can have a night off and sadly this was our night. We love this place and look forward to the 1881 beef as it's become our favorite. Sadly, this night started with an odd caesar salad which we sent back and got the mac and cheese. This was very ordinary mac and cheese. Then came our highlight or what was supposed to be the highlight, the 1881 bone in KC strip. The steak lacked the usual flavor brilliance and was cooked medium rare in some spots while well done to medium in other spots. We didn't complain at the time because we already complained about the salad and our waitperson, Kate, was fantastic. We didn't want to ruin her night. We'll try them again as it's usually wonderful."

  • "I've eaten at this restaurant many times and made my reservations through open table almost every time. I love the food and the service is great. When making the reservation they want you to specify sushi or steak level. I did this for 2 people for sushi. They tried to sit us at the sushi bar and said we'd have to wait 45 minutes for a regular table. I said no way! There were open tables everywhere and because they messed up and gave our table away after 40 minutes they created a table. The manager gave us 2 drinks and an app for free. Our server Travis was excellent and really made the experience great in the end. This did make us late though for meeting up with the rest of our group."

  • "Wanted to go to a nice restaurant one night on my trip to MN and made a reservation here. I wish I saw there was free valet parking, because parking in Minneapolis was harder than I had hoped! I was a little concerned that a group of men who came in behind me and my boyfriend were seated before we were. I had came a bit earlier than my reservation time, but there it was just the two of us? Anyway, our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the steaks and food. The mussels were okay, but the steak was cooked PERFECTLY. That steak alone gets a 5 star rating. But the other food was okay and not really worth the price... (and it was pricey.) But I guess the price goes into the service and atmosphere, which was great."

  • "I took a date out to Seven for dinner on the steak house level. I have dined at Seven a great number of times but this would be my first occasion not in the sushi area. The service was mediocre at best, the waitress was inattentive and confused about menu items. I ordered the sea bass, which was very under seasoned and bland. It was resting on a bed of asparagus and a nice sauce/broth. To paraphrase the words of Tom Coliccho, putting an over seasoned item together was an under seasoned item does not create balance. The oysters tasted fresh, particularly considering the distance we are from the ocean. The restaurant management is not aware of the promotions they are running, and require better communication and education."
