We took my son (who works in a restaurant) and his new girlfriend (who is a vegetarian) out for a nice dinner to get to know each other. We had 4 great meals and 4 unusual cocktails served up by the witty waitstaff and bartender. Seasonal food selections made it easy for us to choose with our eclectic tastes. Funky, edgy art on the walls and ceilings rounded out the ambience of a really comfortable place. This urbane, unpretentious restaurant delivered on all accounts.

anxious to try but left a bit perplexed. cocktails were nice. "sessions" were okay but overwhelmingly sweet. chicken mousse drenched in apricot preserves was not visually appealing, and uncertain how to eat on a Belgium waffle. eggplant waffles were nice but again drenched in syrup. special was tasty, tuna croquettes with chicken fried avocado. gnocchi with pancetta so-so, again felt like a dinner collided with breakfast. foodie here so up for an adventure but this adventure left me really confused. upstairs dining experience lacks any personality compared to the main level which, in contrast, is over designed.

This was my first visit to Session Kitchen. The inside of the restaurant is phenomenal.. so different than any other place I have been to. The hostess was very kind and we had our choice of table. The bus boy was kind of a jerk, but hey - he's a bus boy. Our server was incredibly kind and she visited us often. Hands down best cocktails I have had in Denver thus far. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, the flat iron steak, and the chicken with cornbread. Basically licked our plates clean. The manager came up and spoke with us a couple of times and brought us our food. He was AWESOME. I highly recommend this place. Wahoo!

Menu is interesting. Decor is unique. Food was variable. Most dishes were at least good, but some dishes were creative, unique and excellent. Waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly and gave us just the right amount of attention so to be responsive but not overbearing. Mixed drinks were creative and fun. Wine list is very small and choices we tried were unimpressive. I would not classify this as a foodie restaurant, mainly because of wine choices, but definitely a fun unique place that I would recommend to friends.

Great lighting and a fun room, with good food and drinks, makes for a fun experience on Pearl Street. The only problem I had was with the service, which alternated between too fast (clearing appetizers before it was clear we were done) and too slow (disappearing after dinner was done and not bringing the check, with the excuse, "well, you two seemed to be having a nice time chatting, I didn't want to interrupt." But the restaurant itself is excellent.

The food was all incredible and we enjoyed every bite! It was great to have the option of blending the small plates and group plates. Thank you, Session Kitchen!

Everything we are was delicious, we went as a group of 5 so tried and enjoyed all of these: charcuterie board, fried green tomatoes, cornbread with Brie, pork belly and watermelon as starters. We also loved the lamb entree (but very rich), the chicken was juicy; the salmon was delish but the real surprise was eggplant waffles. Everyone must get these! It's a great balance of textures as well as sweet, salty, tart... The place is casual/cute, good music permeates the place but it is not noisy

Very interesting menu, interesting and unique take on many traditional brunch dishes. Very good service. In the midst of the sunday farmers market, it can be a bit noisy. Worst offenders tho were fellow diners who tied their puppy to the railing and let him bark. Overall a very good experience. Will definitely return.

I have eaten at Session Kitchen, several times. Twice for Brunch and the rest for dinner. I always found that the menu had strange combinations and that the food was entirely too heavy. We visited the restaurant on Wednesday and found new items that were more on the lighter side. The food was delicious, and the service was great. Try this restaurant again if you were not sure of it in the past.

I had heard good things about Sessions, and was excited to go. The service staff are friendly and try so hard to make your experience special. But the food is such a letdown, I left hungry, portions are too small, food real expensive and just doesn't taste very good. Pros: Great service!!! Order the pork belly/watermelon small plate! Entrees were delicious (lamb collar, duck toast and eggplant waffles). Good recommendations from staff. Very attentive. Cons: we had a reservation. When we arrived, they walked us through an empty restaurant to the back, dark, far away upstairs... We felt like they were embarrassed of us! We should have asked to sit in a nicer booth. Do not order the stuffed avocado...you can make this at home and it's bland. Also the tuna steak was over cooked.

I went for brunch last weekend. I had Eggs Benedict with Tasso ham on crumpets. Delish - they make everything in house. My friend had a biscuit with house made jam, and scrambled eggs. We both had a marvelous cocktail with bourbon and blackberries. The whole menu looked great, so I plan to return soon. Our server was well versed in the menu and took good care of us. Our busboy made sure our water glasses were refilled - something that you don't notice unless it's not happening, so I appreciated his efforts. We ate on the patio, even though it was 95 degrees and it was still pleasant. The decor has a unique vibe - don't forget to check out the lighting over the bar.
