"The food was very good. My husband ordered the mussels which were delicious--great garlic butter sauce. The lamb was a very large portion and juicy with no after taste which sometimes accompanies lamb dishes. The service was very slow but apparently there was a problem in the kitchen so I assume meals are delivered a little more timely on a regular basis. The noise level was a little too high for my liking. I prefer to be able to hold a conversation without raising my voice."

"Serrano dining experience was pleasant, staff courteous and attentive (restaurant was not overly busy). Food was tasty and well prepared - kudos to the chef. Be prepared to spend ~$25 to park for dinner and a show if you want to be close.

Upstairs the Tin Angel had 1 waitress who seemed very new to the job. Drinks were overpriced $10 for a glass of wine. Making a dinner reservation to have reserved seating in the Tin Angel was helpful. Do recommend the venue as anintimate setting to hear good music."

"The food at Serrano was very good, actually better than expected. Our waiter, Michael, was very courteous and helpful and service very good. It was nice knowing that we had a reserved table upstairs at Tin Angel so didn't need to rush dinner to get a good seat upstairs. The entire evening was delightful. I have been to the Tin Angel many times in the past without having dinner at Serrano before the show. In the future, we will definitely make a reservation for dinner at Serrano followed by the show upstairs."

"Serrano (the restaurant) Tin Angel (the acoustic bar upstairs) has for many years been a great place to go to in Old City. The bar always has nice wine selections, and the atmosphere is very cosy, especially when the fireplace is going. I hadn't been for years - no fault of the restaurant or fabulous small venue upstairs.
This time was it was still fabulous, but different in a very good way. Owner/management changed several years ago and they have a very accomplished chef in the kitchen. The food is still eclectic, but a bit more refined without being in least stuffy. The service was outstanding, the wine suggested by the server was delicious (she allowed me a taste first), and the food was wonderful. Great place."

"Came here for the first time with my girlfriend. The smell of the fireplace was great and added to the atmosphere. We were sitting a little close to the front door and it gets pretty drafty. So dress warm if it's the winter. The tap beer selection is so so but they do have Guinness. My girlfriend liked the pinot gris wine she got a lot. The hummus was awesome as were the marinated mushrooms. The mussels were great too. The filet mignon I had was excellent. The yukon gold potatoes were so so and the mushrooms I substituted for a green were pretty much warmed up marinated mushrooms (I was hoping for something slightly different). Overall the food was very good and we had a nice team."
