Diner Reviews
  • "First time for dinner after experiencing 2 years of their crawfish boil (very well done as well). Dinner meal was very good. The pork chop was like a steak, melt in your mouth. Red Snapper was also very good and the mashed potatoes were excellent and i'm not a big potato fan. Portions were very good as well, not bite sized but not so much that you didn't have room for some of the bread pudding or peach pie, both were very good i might add. I'm looking forward to trying the brunch as it looks great."

  • "The only bad news: the lobster special was way below par for Serpas. The good news: every other aspect of our meal was "top drawer" -- cocktails; a great Spanish white wine; appetizers (salmon on giant chips and flash fried oysters - should have ordered more as my main course; a Serpas signature dish); desserts (bread pudding and beignets). Plus we could not have asked for better service. Love this restaurant and will be back!!!"

  • "In Atlanta for business and Serpas was recommended. Blown away by how good it was. Got the Bacon wrapped chicken. Don't miss this place if in Atlanta."

  • "SERPAS is a must-do when you are in Atlanta. Don't leave without having dinner here. Our party of four had the duck, flounder, strip steak and chicken wrapped in bacon. Each meal was SUPERB, gloriously presented, and inventive. The beet salad was wonderful. The white chocolate bread pudding was over the top lick- the- container- it- came- in good. Do what you have to do to have a meal at this DIVINE restaurant. Staff is well-trained, gracious and welcoming. This restaurant just jumped onto my list of favorite restaurants anywhere on the planet. Don't miss it. If I lived in Atlanta, I'd go there weekly. It's not to be missed."

  • "Third time visting this spot this year. I love the salmon chips and tuna tar tar. Pork chop is the best thing on the menu. I have also tried the egg Benedict for bruch (amazing) flavor. Service is always great, regardless of the crowd. Best server is a Guy that name stars with a B. Sorry can't spell it, but he is attentively the best!!!!! Please try."

  • "This is a fine restaurant. My group has visited here for the fifth time. The food and the service is very good. My personal suggestion is that you experience it for yourself. I am sure we will be dining there again and again."

  • "Scott Serpas knows how to treat his customers! As always, salmon chips were amazing and the grouper was prepared excellently and perfect for a summer evening. Never fails to be anything other than excellent."

  • "Serpas, we just celebrated our 3rd anniversary with you. We had our first date with you and have celebrated every anniversary with you. We even visit your establishment every few months because we love it so much. We are proud to consider your place as "our special place". The food and service never disappoints!! If you've never been to Serpas, go there!"

  • "Though I have always enjoyed my main courses, the appetizers are outstanding. Great tuna tartar, hushpuppies, duck rolls, mussels, calamari - to name a few."

  • "Had a great meal there. The ribeye was phenomenal along with the grits. The scallops were moist and flavorful. The food took a while to come out but the server kept checking in with us. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely come back."

  • "This was my first visit after numerous recommendations and I was definitely impressed, especially by the scallops entree, easily one of the better dishes I've tried at any Atlanta restaurant. Service was fine if impersonal. Two apps, two entrées and two cocktails equalled $100, but I felt it was good value. The food is carefully prepared and presented beautifully."

  • "Serpas had a nice, energetic, modern vibe and we were able to get a table along the wall so noise was not overbearing. We started with 2 appetizers, which were incredible - the crab cream cheese fritters were delightfully creamy/crispy and the duck rolls were yummy. The bartender found a white wine that suited both my love of chardonnay and my friend's desire for a Sauvignon Blanc. But grilled lobster was tough, and over-cooked with -smoke-y taste, with tiny bowl of so-so pasta. My husband's ribeye was gristly & too fatty, but flavor was good. The dinner rolls were delicious, they were not part of the meal, so, additional charges. Overall, the dinner had potential, but I would not go back, because we paid Premium prices, for so-so taste."

  • "The food was fantastic, as expected. We're just waiting for the lobster rolls now! We had them last year and they were by far the best we've had in Atlanta. You can't go wrong by stopping in at Serpas."

  • "Time after time food and service is excellent- consistently going above and beyond. Chef tasting menu is fantastic- you simply call in advance with the # of diners, # of courses/price per head you want to spend and what food you don't like- an exceptional experience. On the main menu- too many dishes to recommend- no bad experiences."

  • "My family and I had brunch at Serpas on June 2. The restaurant is really neat. It looks like a loading dock that has been turned into a restaurant - the old brick, the big wooden partitions, the glass and chrome on the front. It is very aesthetically pleasing. The food was really good. My husband tried the fried oyster's benedict and said it was delicious. I had the mixed berry buttermilk pancakes. They were tasty. Our daughter tried the creamy grits with bacon. She was happy with her choice. We also had an excellent server. She was pleasant, engaged and focused on creating a good experience. We were all satisfied and glad we went. We look forward to returning again soon."

  • "Three of us had a delicious dinner at Serpas on a weeknight. The staff was professional yet warmly welcoming. All the food we had was excellent. The salmon chips were a delightful surprise: 4 large chips piled high with a flaked salmon mixture that seemed enough for a meal. But we thoroughly enjoyed our entrees too: duck breast for one, scallops for another and stuffed trout for the third. And the side order of yeast rolls! Buttery and hot from the oven, served in a cast iron skillet and sprinkled with parmesan. Better than dessert! We loved the open high-ceilinging room and could talk (and hear) easily. Later, a very large party came in and the noise level increased dramatically, so for us, a weeknight will be our preference in the future."

  • "Chef Serpa is truly a find in the Auburn section of Atlanta, or anywhere for that matter. Creative without overdoing it. He brings a slight but perfect cajun flavor to his dishes. We arrived 1 hour before our scheduled table and were courteously accommodated. Service was friendly, efficient, and informative. I had the short rib eggs benedict. A delicious dish with a slight hint of tabasco and spice. I also has a side of the Chef's andouille (made there, that morning). Delicious! Just when you are appreciating the herbs and spices in the sausage, you feel a slight and appropriate burn. This will now be our go to place for brunch and some place we will check out for dinner."

  • "A restaurant-savvy friend had recommended Serpas as one of their favorite restaurants. My wife and I went for a Sunday brunch and my friend was right. The staff that greeted us, our waiter Chris(recommended), and everyone we saw seemed happy to be serving us. Our waiter provided very good recommendations. The food was outstanding, particularly the Flash Fried Oysters. We tried the Pigs in a blanket, grits, and the Creole Omelet. All of them were wonderful. One note about service. Each time we went through a door a member of the staff came trotting over to open the door for us. It sounds like a small gesture but it gives the diner the sense that Serpas cares for and appreciates their clients."

  • "My girlfriends and I had a VERY loud dinner here! It must be the accoustics but at one point I felt like we had to scream at each other to be heard! Nonetheless, the food was beyond excellent. Friends suggested we get the salmon chips and Yelp recommended a cream cheese fritter- both were a great way to start the meal. We each had something different for our meal- pork chops, lamb chops and scallops. Again, all winners. However, the beignets for desert- we should have each ordered our own instead of sharing because they were amazing! I would definitely try this restaurant again."

  • "We were a party of 6 for a Sunday brunch. Food was outstanding. It was mobbed (we had reservations) and the wait staff seemed hurried all the time. We ordered appetizers which never came. One of the food orders was obviously lost so one of my friends didn't get their food with everyone else's. It was also very loud. So even tho the food was wonderful, we won't be back for brunch. I may give dinner a try."

  • "I've been to Serpas twice, once just for wine & snacks and this time for Sunday brunch. The first visit & the menu made me want to try their brunch, and I'm glad we did! Interesting mix of menu choices, and the food was fantastic. Make sure to start with an order of beignets!!! The place was busy even at 11:45 am (prior to alcohol being served), so make sure you have a reservation."

  • "An upscale, New Orleans themed restaurant with great character and feel. Great for dining with friends or hanging at the bar watching sports. The appetizers are all great and the fried oysters are the best in the city. The stuffed trout and veal steak stand out on the entree items. "

  • "This was my families first time eating here and I must say I was impressed. I didn't think such a place would be so kind to my kids. Now let's get to the meat of this review. The food at this place fits the ATL scene, southern food mixed with any astonishing cultured for the world menu. Now I can't say it's an every day dinner for a house hold that makes under 100k a year but it's an experience worth saving up for. I will be back soon you guys, thanks for the great time."

  • "If you are going to offer a mothers day brunch- please staff your restaurant. Please ask your staff to be friendly and responsive. Service was terrible.. thankfully the food was great.. but having to wait for water, then drinks, order to be wrong, everyone around was equally cranky... having a nice crowd at 2pm on mothers day should not come as a surprise... not sure I will give it another chance...
