Diner Reviews
  • "For the history and reputation of Serendipity we expected more. Food was just fair... not memorable. Also frustrating was $20 for a crabcake sandwhich, then $1 more to get sweet potato fries onstead pf regular fries. My wife was charged an additional $1 to get tomatoes on her margharita pizza. Nothing like being nickle-and-dimed. Oh yeah, $5 for a glass of ice tea. Bottom line... pass on the meal...maybe get desert... maybe. Frozen hot chocolate was just like the name implies... certainly nothing to die for."

  • "The food was just the best breakfast I ever had, the service not so good. I'm sorry to say it but maybe she wasn't in her best day. Any way I like the place and planing to come back if I return to Vegas"

  • "High price for bad food. Try the frozen hot chocolate just to say you did, but anything else is not worth it."

  • "I made a reservation 2 days prior to our visit. We arrived 15 minutes early and waited. We watched for that 15 minutes people put their names down on the list and being seated before us. That is the most frustrating thing experience at restaurants. There was also a very loud disruptive party that was there, it made it distracting. But other then that the food was great and portion sizes were great."

  • "Even though we had a reservation and checked in at the outside hostess stand, we proceeded to stand at the inside hostess stand for 10 minutes while walk-in patrons were seated before us. Finally, we were seated in the middle of the run-down dining room complete with ripped seat cushions and no one even greeted us for 5 minutes. The servers all seemed to think it wasn't their section. Additionally, I was disappointed to find out the Summer Bries sandwich was taken off the menu (this is definitely not the quaint, well-run version in NYC). Open Table contacted me regarding a "no-show" reservation because the restaurant never checked us in. That did not surprise me at all--disorganized staff, bad service in a city with many other choices."

  • "First visit and was not disappointed. Highly recommend the Fried Eggs Benedict. Staff was friendly and accommodating."

  • "A friend and I were very excited to come here but left disappointed. We asked our server for recommendations and he suggested the mac and cheese. It was basically kraft dinner made with orachette pasta. The sauce had no flavor and was like Velveeta. Paid extra for minimal bacon. It wasnt baked with and cheese or topping like expected. I had the crab cake sandwich which was good with fries that were pretty basic. We had coffee/espresso to start and after our meal skipped the $12 frozen hot chocolate as we were worried we would 've disappointed."

  • "Servers need a better understanding of size. We asked ours about the size of the Strawberry Cream Waffles and he stated it wasn't big enough to share.. Lies!! It was huge.. Took awhile to check up on us.."

  • "Service was not very good. I didn't like where we were seated, and i made a reservation a week in advance. The inside looks cool, but when you look at the menu, be prepared. It is very expensive for hot dogs and hamburgers. When the food came, I thought it was okay. Nothing stellar. I was just expecting a lot more for my $60 for two people. I will definitely not be returning to this restaurant."

  • "I had high expectations for my first visit to Serendipity. Sadly, they weren't met at all. We had reservations and were seating within five minutes. Our waitress wasn't friendly and seemed in a rush for us to order. My Caesar salad was good and we ordered the cookie dough sundae, which wasn't anything great. Overall, I'd say it's overpriced and overhyped. Skip it and grab a gelato or pastries at one of the places in the Venetian."

  • "Frozen hot chocolate is a must! The food was great as well. The place was very busy."

  • "Attention from the staff was minimal at best. I felt like everyone had something else to do other than their job. My waitress (Johanna???) Never asked if we wanted something to drink. The only time we saw her was when we ordered and when she brought the check. Additionally, it was my daughter's birthday. The waitress said she couldn't find any candles so she just sang happy birthday by herself. No goofiness from the waitstaff, no sparkly candles. What a disappointment. The food took forever to come out. It was, however, absolutely delicious. We had the chili, the mac n cheese and the Caesar salad. All food I would love to duplicate at home. The deserts.....to DIE for........but still not worth the overall experience."

  • "Dirty tables; Horrible service; no cutlery; left without even celebrating my daughters birthday which was the reason I went there in the first place. The waiter kept rushing us to place our orders when we didn't even get a chance to look through our menus and then seemed irritated that we needed more time. Tables took forever to be cleared. I had to get cutlery from another table because the one time I actually needed my server I couldn't even find him. We ordered appetizers and had to ask for plates as we had none, which we had to do while he was walking past our table. We actually went there for the desserts but we never ordered anything as we were disappointed with the environment and the service. We will not be dining there ever again."

  • ". We ended up waiting over 30 mi utes even with a reservation. The hostess was not friendly and didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. Finally we were seated and the same hostess served our party water. We were then ignored for another 20 minutes while a server (Dave) passed us and continued to wait on surrounding tables. He never acknowledged us at all! Even the manager was doing nothing. We would've left, but went through a big ordeal with parking just to get there. Finally a server ( Lance?)approached us and waited on us. He was great. He was very friendly and attentive and gave us great service. Our food was hit or miss. Our two kids meals were cold/dead, the adult entrees were great! Not sure if we'd come back."

  • "We got into Vegas and had to hit this place first! We had planned on only having dessert, but I was hungry from the flight, so decided on sharing a mac-n-cheese with panchetta. It was so incredibly thick, luscious, and the crispy panchetta made it outstanding. I could not stop eating it, and was more than enough for me and my husband once we also received our sundaes. The sundae portions are more than adequate, we probably should have shared but we wanted two different things. I got the carrot cake sundae, and it was a gigantic piece of cake on numerous scoops of ice cream. I took the cake home for later when I was done! Our server was not very attentive, he was slow and made us wait long to order, long for our food. But overall A."

  • "Went here for dinner. Frozen hot chocolate was great! Alfredo pasta was huge! Good for two people. It wasn't that good but it was ok. The footlong hotdog was huge as well. I think I would only go back to this place for the frozen hot chocolate or maybe sundae, nothing else."

  • "The food was bad. There is no way to sugar coat it. Both a friend of mine and yelp recommended this place. The location is great; right in the heart of the strip right across from the Flamingo hotel. Outdoor seating was great as well as you see las Vegas blvd and can people watch. Server was extremely attentive. I ordered a veggie burger (I'm a lover of quinoa) and their famous frozen hot chocolate. Burger was grainy and flavorless. The frozen hot chocolate was basically a glorified frosty and cost me $12! All in all, I was pretty mad to pay $40 for terrible food and I could have had a steak for the same price. Serendipity indeed!"

  • "I ordered the Frrrozen Hot Chocolate and Hangover Omelet. They were both amazingly good. The rich and smooth frozen hot chocolate is very delicious and satisfies my sweet tooth. The omelet consist for a thick layer of egg wrap with french fries, cheese, bacon, and mushroom. I like the booth structures in the restaurant, it is very comfortable and cozy."

  • "I took my daughter here for her 17th birthday, the service was very disappointing. Our server was very rude when we asked to change our order, and this was before actually entering it into the system. Then we requested appetizers and she was rude again and said she had already entered our order. That's besides the point, she should not have been so rude when she eventually took the appetizer order. I feel as a customer, I have a right to add or change my order. The service took away from my daughter's special day. We also received an obviously dirty appetizer plate. When I called the manager over to let him know, and all he did was offer a new plate. I live in Las Vegas and the expectations for customer service were missed by a lot."

  • "My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. We had excellent service by Marnie, and everything we ordered was delicious. Fish tacos for an appetizer, peanut cup and birthday cake martinis, pizza and crab cake sandwich for dinner and the fried oreo Sunday for dessert. We can't wait to come back!"

  • "The desserts seemed majestic. When we got there, the restaurant was half empty but still needed to wait as did others. Not really sure why as many, many tables had no customers. The staff seemed friendly. The nachos were HUGE portions and tasted okay. Nothing too exciting. I would suggest sharing a dish, as my older teen daughter and I had plenty left over. For the money, it wasn't that big of a deal and seemed somewhat grimy inside. It is very loud as well, the crowd is also and interesting mix as is all of Vegas."

  • "Loved Serendipity 3. Conveniently located and the food was truly outstanding. With all the choices on the Strip, Serendipity 3 is now my "go-to" restaurant when struggling to find a reliable meal. We ate the giant "Las Vegas Strip Steak Sandwich". It was suitable for a King and Queen. Hearty portions and well presented, prepared and priced. We'll definitely be back again on our next trip."

  • "That's the only thing we got. We are 3 small-ish girls so we could barely finish even one of the smaller frozen hot chocolate size. We chose the amaretto almond flavor which is delicious! The waiter seems pretty impatient though, since we didn't order much. He kept urging us to order more which was kind of annoying but service was still on par, so we tipped generously to keep him happy. I tend to avoid the other foods here. If you like the frozen hot chocolate and have a larger group, you could order the small size of more than one flavor so you can try more. So far every one that I tried so far was good!"

  • "Looked so forward to going to Serendipity 3 because I love the Serendipity in NY. Was so disappointed that the Vegas restaurant has a vibe of being at Farrell's ice cream parlor and not a cool hip restaurant. Felt like we entered Romper Room. This spot kid friendly but not for adults. Good for dessert stop only. Very disappointed. Recommend for kids outting only!! "
