We thought we were booking a reservation at Serafina's (which is where we wanted to go), only to find out that it had been bought out by another company and was operating under a different name. That information should have been made clear BEFORE the reservation was booked.

We enjoy dining at this restaurant because the food and service is reliably good. The atmosphere is pleasant and very conducive to good table interaction (low noise level, relaxed ambiance). We have taken friends on several occasions and every dining experience has been a success. Love the ravioli with truffles. It's divine. Service is nice as well.

Serafina is in the hotel lobby and it was the worst place I have gone to in a long time. I was there with my party of three and we placed our order ; three of us had appetizers, but we ordered all our entrees as well. Why did they come out with my friends entree as her appetizer is beyond me. Then we waited and waited for our entrees. When we asked the waiter he said, oh you didn't tell me you were done with your appetizers. So we waited some more for bland veal and bland chicken. There was no seasoning to it and was also . Maybe the pizzas and paninis are better, but definitely stay away from this place for dinner.

Serafina in miami is definitely somewhere you should not go! The one in New York is what a real Serafina is like, the one in miami makes me look at the franchise at a different perspective. I am honestly dumfound and speechless with how poor the food and service was. To sum it up...DON'T GO!!!

The Serafina in NYC is a lot better. The South Beach location is geared towards tourists that are staying at The Dream hotel. The outdoor seating is inviting. I highly recommend the burratta and prociutto appetizer. The pizza is standard fare as the key element, the crust, tastes like it is pre- fabricated versus freshly prepared dough. Staff was very courteous, friendly and had great energy.

Went for Miami Spice menu with friends. Had a bone marrow/fois gras appetizer which was very good. The "sloppy joe" on mac and cheese also was terrific. However, the overall experience was nearly ruined by the cacophonous noise levels. INSANELY loud, couldn't converse without shouting which, of course, just raised the decibels even more in a kind of perverse chain reaction. While I might return on a weeknight I would be in no rush to return on a weekend night.

We were enthusiastic about dining in a place with NY standards. The food is great and the chef is doing a great job, but the service is very very poor and the ambiance are typical crowds of south beach, so is not a good place to fit for people medium age like us.The Miami Spice menu was excellent and a good value for the money. Plates well presented, well executed and good flavors.

A great experience all around. The atmosphere was vibrant yet subdued. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was very original and well presented. Not your average fare.Added twists on their dishes really kicked it up a notch.Pairings of contrasting flavors and textures were refreshing.Portions were smallish but left you full not stuffed.I ordered the braised short rib and it was like butter.Intense flavor that melted in your mouth. The peach cobbler dessert with oatmeal ice cream was off the charts. It was difficult to narrow down on any of the menu selections without feeling some sort of regret for not trying something else. Will definitely return to try something new...

This was a special night for us, and the restaurant absolutely lived up to expectations. The food was delicious, innovative and beautiful. The crab leg app, the watermelon and feta salad and the lettuce salad with green goddess dressing were delish. For entrees, my husband had the burger and it was so good it didn't even need ketchup. I had the snapper and loved it. The cauliflower side was great but the brussels sprouts were amazing. Truly the best we have EVER had - and we eat them a lot. The strawberry shortcake dessert came as a compliment from the restaurant, and it was amazing - decomposed into components in a strawberry syrup broth that they pour on at the table. would absolutely come here again and recommend to anyone.

  • Tudor House is a winner
    OpenTable Diner Since 2011
    Dined on 9/3/2011
We found the restaurant through the wonderful Miami Spice program. There are so many fine eating experiences in this great town. It seems to be encouraging great chefs from around the country to give Miami a try. What is truly fantastic about chefs at or near the top of their game is that they are trying to strive to make the meal a detail-oriented, customer-friendly, and food centric experience. Tudor House is no exception when it comes to the menu, even with the relative limitation of Miami Spice. The standouts for us from the Spice menu, changed weekly, was the English pea soup with lime marshmallows, a simple dish elevated to the very height of culinary expertise, the braised lamb belly, served crispy, and the peach cobbler dessert

Portion sizes vary greatly on both appetizers and entrees, but taste was good on all. Many items to try in future. Kudos for offering Miami Spice every day and night, and keeping it fresh by changing menu weekly. Most memorable-the chicken liver pate and warm pretzel balls with dijon wine dipping sauce. from the moment we walked in, it was clear that this was a place where they took the patron's interests seriously. The server was pleasant but not intrusive, extremely knowledgable (made a couple of great suggestions) and there was never an empty glass or a request not quickly handled. The food was great. the fried chicken was a personal favorite as was the carpaccio. The chef came and introduced himself and was extremely genuine. The ambiance was like Wish back in the day.
