  • "Have eaten here a few times and the food is consistently excellent as is the service. Unfortunately on a nice day when the front is open to the street it gets a little noisy"

  • "This is a gem in the neighborhood pre-theatre. We always go for the unbelievable pizza and always have a fresh fish and pasta specials that are amazing. Great menu choices for everyone!"

  • "...we had a great meal. I've eaten here quite a few times & it's always been great. Love the 'goat cheese & spinach salad'! The only problem was that it was very crowded on this night & the service wasn't as good as it normally was. But I will be back!"

  • "I went there for breakfast with my family on Saturday morning! The pancakes were very tasteless and they served some thing that was advertised as French toast that didn't taste anything like it and didn't taste good also! It took to long to be asked about the food! Music in the dinning room pop American and blasting Hispanic music from the kitchen really annoying ! The location and decor very good! But not enough"

  • "Overall Serafina was very good I would return. The food was very good, a very large wine list, though very pricey for a glass less than 4 oz. The atmosphere was very nice my only complaint was the music was loud, we had to talk over it and it was difficult to hear my partner. But for the food & location I'd recommend it."

  • "We were a group of 4 and every dish was a pure delight. The homemade pasta is really fresh delicious. We did get our entrees after our main course but food was still all very good. We didn't appreciate that a 20% tip was automatically added to each of our bills. I most certainly would have given 18% at least because the food was great and the waitress very nice, but to have a tip imposed on us, we almost wanted to ask for our bills without tip and leave none as protest ! But we didn't. That's how much we enjoyed the food and place... Just be warned. Also we were celebrating a birthday, they were nice enough to bring desert with a candle but we had to pay for it. I'm used to restaurant in my city who offers the desert for birthday."

  • "Really bad experience in multiple levels. The place is very tight. It really feels like you are all crammed on top of each other. The service was very bad. We both ordered salads one came twenty minutes into the meal the other never cane. After waiting am hour we both got entrees but the other salad was missing. Lots of excuses but what a mess the food was ok Felt like a tourist trap"

  • "Service and ambiance was sub par Bathroom on the second floor of time hotel was vile We go to Serafina uptown all the time This was less than what I expect from Serafina"

  • "in the heart of Times Square, Serafina, is a consistently good choice. There are several around NYC and I've been to many. Our server was friendly, almost too chatty, but my altered off-the-menu entree was easily accommodated (grilled chicken with veggies). I was disappointed a little b/c the bread basket was cold in the middle. It's a little bit of a tight squeeze and you have to take an elevator up 2 floors to use the bathrooms b/c it's under Time hotel. Not a bad choice thought. They have great pizzas, but I did not order one at this location."

  • "We dined here after seeing a play on Broadway, and the cuisine, atmosphere and ambience fit the evening perfectly. Forget surveying the menu for the perfect entree, take the chef's special and you can't go wrong. But if you decide to cruise the menu, you'll find a laundry list of delectable dishes."

  • "Always consistently good--plus well-prepared gluten-free pastas. The staff is attenttive; the food very, very good."

  • "The wines & mixed drinks are WAY overpriced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was looking for a nice meal (which we had) in this overly expensive neighborhood & ended up paying an extravagant bill."

  • "Waiter never came back- had to ask others to bring him over re status of food arrival. He was overworked with too many tables. Serious understaffing. 6:30 reservation. Main course arrived at 7:20pm despite requests for update of any staff who walked by. so rush to eat before show. Bathroom on second floor and you walk through a hotel area near utility area that feels like construction site to get to small rest room barely taken are of. Food was very good- Can't understand lack of management."

  • "I've eaten at the various locations of Serafina numerous times. Unfortunately, this visit to the Time Hotel/Theatre District location was a disappointment. The service was distracted and impersonal. It took three requests to get some olive oil, and more than 10 minutes to get a dish of marinara sauce for my friend's calzone. The food was good, but not as good as it used to be. And the bread was stale. Unacceptable. We asked for fresh bread and were brought more of the same. Good bread is a BASIC in an Italian restaurant. They failed big time on this visit. The red pepper soup was excellent, to give credit where credit is due. Other than that, a let-down. I think I'll be sticking with "44 Southwest" for Italian in the Theatre District."

  • "Went restaurant week, expected to be rushed so they could do more tables, just the opposite. Staff was great, food was delicious and we were happy we chose this restaurant prior to our show and we had plenty of time prior to seeing Cinderella. We would recommend to all."

  • "Wonderful Italian restaurant. With 2 floors you can typically get in with or without a reservation. Staff was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu and many delicious sounding specials, clearly experienced staff only here. Food was very good, we had the chefs special pasta, included unlimited servings of some of the best pasta I've had in Manhattan (rigatoni with broccoli, spaghetti in sauce, and seafood (shrimp, crab) risotto. Each was unbelievably good, with a long list of good wines for $25 a bottle - we had a great dining experience at this restaurant."

  • "Last minute decision for Valentine's Day as we had an early show. First time at this location, wasn't sure what to expect because it was V day and it was such a touristy location but the service was excellent, food delicious as usual! Having tried many of their locations over the years I have to say that they are very consistent and quality has remained top! Love Serafina!!!"

  • "Picked SErafina for its proximity to the theater. Food was very good, we all had something different and each enjoyed our choice. The fried calamari was tender and delicious. The service was acceptable but not great. I would go again as pre theater choice"

  • "It's hard to find restaurants in the theatre district and my husband and I usually end up at Marseilles. The theatre was in the high forties so we were looking for something new and a little closer to uptown. Serafina is a italian chain that you can count on for a good dinner. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised and thought the bill was pretty standard for "Global City" prices."

  • "Since their kitchen actually closes at 11:00 p.m., why take 11:00 p.m. reservations? I arrived at 10:45 p.m., since I knew what I wanted for appetizer since I looked at their menu online, I ordered that first. After they put that order in, they came back and told me the kitchen was about to close, and I need to place the rest of the order. The food all came at once and by the time I started eating my pasta, it was cold. They were rushing me to finish too!! I’ve never had such experience in NYC, what kind of service attitude is that? If they weren’t going to stay open until late, it’s okay, but don’t take an 11:00 p.m. reservations, or better yet, tell me so at the reception, so I won’t even bother sitting down at all."

  • "while we were so happy about the location, right next door to the theater, and with the frigid temps, it was ideal, but, but, but....the food was awful!!!"

  • "It was convenient to theatre. It wasn't great but perfectly acceptable and not as pricy as many NC spots are."

  • "It was NOT my favorite Serafina by a long shot. I went in rather late for lunch with hardly anyone still eating and I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come to my table. It was not until I actually got up to walk out that anyone even noticed I was there. I had to ask for bread, water, etc. The food also not as good as other Serafinas I have tried. I will never go back to this one."

  • "Serafina is a great find in the theater district! The menu is varied and has something for everyone. The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. This is a great choice for pre-theater or not! ."

  • "I went on new years eve to this dining spot and had seen great reviews of the place.. and I was not let down by the reviews. The wait staff was impeccable and knowledgeable, the service was quick, and the food was absolutely perfect and beautifully plated. They gave a lot of food, and the selections on the menu are great. I highly suggest the filet mignon."

  • "I like Serafina in general and am a frequent customer. This location has the best cocktails. However the service was a bit poor and confused. We were a table of six next to a large group. It was really noisy and low attention level. Food was good."

  • "This restaurant is amazing! The staff is so friendly and attentive. We were going to see Chicago the musical. This place is right across the street which was perfect. We had enough time to eat before the show. The drinks were so good. I had a Mojito and it is the best one I have ever had. They even had some great virgin drinks for my daughter. My husband and I had a trio of pasta and it was amazing. The servings were the perfect size and I wasn't over full after. Had plenty of room for the delicious desserts. The ambiance was fun. My daughter had the gnocchi which was delicious too."
