This time was for our 30th anniv.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat!!Can honestly say although great steaks are available at several locations in Dallas .... The filets were THE BEST we have ever had anywhere. This was our third visit to the new SER and we can recommend it to everyone.
Appetizers were interesting and unique as well as good to eat!
Wine list incredible and the new bar area beautiful; entertainment top drawer and I mean TOP.

My steak (filet) was perfectly cooked...agaiin! The brussel sprouts with green apples were wonderful. I let them know I was bringing my friend for her birthday and several staff came by to acknowledge that and made us feel very welcome. They truly made it a special evening for us! When a local food blog mentioned it would be open for Easter brunch, I had to try it out. I knew the view would be spectacular having been to Nana before, but was happy to see the same stellar warm service was there as well. Servers attentive without being obtrusive. The food was fantastic - we did steak and scallops and both were cooked to perfection. Lemon meringue "pie" was the bomb! The space, is pleasing. The lighting, noise level,table placement: comfortable. My waiter: a little too much bow and scrap then left us for an extended time w/ empty salad plates in front of us waiting on the main course. But acceptable service skills. Prior to this visit, one of my friends said he had tried SER and it was ‘just another steakhouse’. I disagree. If my meals in the future please as much as last night... I read about SER on Open Table before we went, and I am so glad we tried it. The food was actually excellent, but I marked it four stars because of the very odd plates used for some of the dishes. The shapes of the plates and bowls sometimes made it virtually impossible to balance one's utensils on the plate/bowl or cut food in the bowl. We found this to be true in another restaurant in this hotel, as well.
I am sorry for dwelling on what was the one negative of our dining experience. The service, food, and ambiance were great.

Our martinis were generous and our wine was delicious and also a very good pour. The food was nicely paced and perfectly prepared. We had rack of lamb and fish of the day. Service was excellent. The view through sunset reflected on the Dallas skyline was very lovely. It was very convenient to have this excellent restaurant in the Hilton where we were staying. Especially the bridge to nowhere.
My wife loved her salmon, my filet was par for the course.
Appetizers and dessert were good. Service was good.
