Sen NYCModern and funkyGreat, modern decor. Food was eclectic and very well presented. Fish was quite fresh.
The food and drinks are definitely on the pricey side, compared to more traditional sushi spots, but it's not outrageous.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent spotGreat space and very good food, not just sushi. The meat skewers are delicious.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMStupendous!Arrived at SEN NYC and was immediately greeted by Laura and Preston (Reservationists/Hostess); both of which were extremely
friendly and inviting. We immediately clicked and shortly thereafter, found myself being introduced to their manager Dennis, who I also found to be quite friendly.
Shortly after conversing, they quickly discovered that this was in fact my first time there and that I was due to have dinner with someone quite special. Dennis, having learned this, took me on a tour of the restaurant; which I found to be perfect for the intimate dinner I had in mind.
Having conveyed this to Dennis, he and his staff were extremely accommodating in making our experience, nothing short of fantastic! For this, I extend a sincere "Thank You"!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Japanese Food EverI will first start off saying the ambiance of the restaurant is spectacular! Walking into the restaurant, their was an incredible host named William who was very attentive to me and my child, which doesn't happen very often in NYC. Our server who I don't recall his name but he was very delightful and was very attentive as well but not over baring, the food was amazing. I had the chicken on a stick and some amazing vegetarian sushi with some awesome green tea desert. For a very beautiful restaurant from the Hamptons, it was very affordable! I will be back. This is now my favorite Japanese restaurant on the east coast!!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMI will go back as soon as possibleThe sushi is excellent. The rolls are beyond the usual "fusion" combos you get elsewhere. The Geiko, Flatiron, and Crispy Snapper rolls were a-ma-zing. The Five Gold Curry rice pot was incredible. There was no sign of Hamptons attitude - it was very Sag Harbor, meaning welcoming, chill, and deservedly busy due to the excellence of food and service, not due to hipsters. It isn't inexpensive, but it was totally worth it, and I will go back as soon as possible.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGlad I wentSen NYC is great addition to the New York dining scene. They have an excellent happy hour menu that includes food as well. The service is impeccable and I will definitely be back at some point.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMsimply amazingdelicious. incredibly artful and outstanding staff. a wonderful dining experience4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMChic and delectable sushi!Rare to find a restaurant with a chic Manhattan vibe, but with amazing sushi and varieties of sashimi not found at too many other restaurants in Manhattan.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing flavors and attentiveAmazing flavors and attentive staff.

The staffBeen here 3 times... The staff has Been the problem all 3 times, food is amazing.. My advice to pay up for better staff4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMMúsic got really loud! WeMúsic got really loud! We were essentially kicked out by the music at 11:00pm!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMStill great but watch the egoThis was our 5th time, and the first time we weren't fussed over as a repeat customer, so I guess they feel they are thoroughly launched and established now. The food was ss reliably terrific as always. My only and first-time complaint, was that in contrast to other times, I felt that the waitress was in a big hurry for us to place an order and get out. She would bring food too quickly, so we deliberately placed our orders piecemeal, and made our lack of rush clear but still it would come out too simultaneously. OpenTable only showed reservations available for 6:45 (which we took) and after 9-9:30, but there were 10 tables open when we arrived, and almost as many still open at 8:15 (at very end, they stopped rushing us to leave).4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe appetizers were great. The appetizers were great. We had a tasty salad and delicious calamari tenpura style. The sushi was fresh but the chef selections were on the small side and not as interesting as I would have liked. More on the standard fare. The homemade soy sauce was nice with a flowery layered flavor. There are barely any dessert options - just weird ice cream flavors - not even a green tea ice cream. The service was outstanding - our server, Chris, was friendly, helpful and knowledgable and the rest of the staff including the bus service and hostess were great. Love the decor - very cool with a trendy, loungy atmosphere. The cocktails were great and good selection of wine and saki.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMvery serene room. lots ofvery serene room. lots of wood and candlelight, but still very sleek. quiet techno music in the background, but somehow works here. we had all sushi this first time, rolls and pieces, but just outstanding. looking forward to going back soon for some cooked items. GREAT addition to the neighborhood!!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat!Beautiful space, service as gracious and warm as can be (called me by name, charged my iPhone), food delicious. It's a great place to grab a drink after work with a few small bites- love the edamame and the daikon salad. The wagyu beef croquettes are ahhh-mazing. The rice bowls are best shared among a few people but not really as a meal. And the sushi...heaven. Fresh and tasty3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMBest New Japanese Place in NYC!This place is truly incredible! The food is thoughtfully prepared. The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu. Every time I come the waiter or manager orders for the table and no one is every left unsatisfied.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMDark atmosphere with coolDark atmosphere with cool vibe. attentive, pleasant, adorable waitstaff. This one is not a clone. It is a really spohisticated NYC restaurant. Their sushi is way above th ordinary. The atmosphere and design are really neat. Sort of zen meets industrial meets natural materials.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
