Sel de la Terre - NatickDelicious food, good service....Delicious food, good service-worth another visit or two to confirm it!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was good server ignoredFood was good server ignored 2 women ( us) for a table of men.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMdelicious FoodCelebrating special event with 5 girlfriends... had delicious meal. Waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and wanted to make sure we were happy. We each had a delicious unique cocktail before dinner and wine with dinner. We shared 2 apps, 2 salads, 3 entrees and 2 deserts amongst 5 ladies... waitress made it easy for us to share by giving us individual plates and serving spoons. All the food and drink were really delicious. It is a bit expensive (about $65 per person for what we had - would have been much more if we each ordered our own salad, entrée, desert...)... but very good.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food matches the priceThe food was wonderful. We had the tasting dish for $9, which I highly recommend. The eggplant on that dish was exceptional. We both had risotto, which was delicious, though I would not wax rhapsodic about it. $20. Our server was sweet and got to us promptly. It's a lovely little place with very convenient underground parking and the chance to wander out into the world of Gucci and Coach and lots of other stores.
We had a fine time.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall a good experienceWe were a group of 8 with 4 kids and 4 adults. The wait staff was patient in taking the order and ensuring that the kids food was out first. The food itself was very good and overall we had a very good time at the restaurant.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThis Ain't Mall FoodThis is truly one if our high-end area favorites. Clearly Boston dining in the Western Suburbs. Most notable is the Five Star service we expect in Boston but rarely experience out here. Our server, David L. could be at any of Boston's finest in terms of his knowledge, demeanor and discretion. He literally made our evening.
First when David offers spreads with the bread course just say " Yes!" The cheese, the onion and the olives were all inspiring. Oh yes did I mention the wine list? Really interesting. David hadn't tasted the Montapalcino Rose, I ordered it anyway and offered him a taste. I agreed with his assessment of a certain earthy effervescence.
Ok barely enough characters to say the food was AMAZING!! Risott Skate wings.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot for a birthday dinnerI brought my sister here for her birthday. It was a good meeting point as we live an hour apart. We had a wonderful dinner . The service was attentive and the food was fabulous. I would go back with no hesitation4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentWe dropped by SDLT for a light early dinner and were really pleased with the assiette of duck - rich liver mousse in a generous portion. My companion enjoyed the angus burger and pomme frites so much the last time we were here, he ordered it again. The oyster tasting was also good, and the service was pleasant. Definitely our top choice for dining at the mall.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is creatively preparedThe food is creatively prepared and the service was attentive.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wine review and ComentsMy only strong comment would be to change the wine list; that that it is not bad! But with all of the emphasis on local it is a little disheartening to see a list so light on American wines.
There are some wonderful american wines made by small producers that are very special; The Scholium Project in Napa, Meeker (their big reds are amazing) and Christopher Creek (Petite Sirah Port!) in Sonoma, Utopia in OR, Perhaps an interesting selection would be http://store.rstuartandco.com/nv-klipsun-cabernet-port-p15.aspx. There is a vineyard in Northfolk NY that makes only "french style" Roses and they are wonderful.
Upstate NY has some dry Reislings that are wonderful!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't be put off by the factDon't be put off by the fact that it is in a mall. This is great resteraunt, one of my favorites in the area.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMSole was served without anySole was served without any lemon wedge, beet salad was served qithout the beets. pork loin special was good. cookies and truffles were unremarkable. cappucino was the best ever anywhere. ok but not dazzling enough to rush back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMcute lunchPopped in for an unexpected lunch while shopping and was pleasantly surprised with this little place. My girlfriend and I each had salads with added on proteins and a cocktail. Server was excellent and would definitely go back again. I'm curious to try an actual entree from this restaurant.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThe decor is very cozy, quaintThe decor is very cozy, quaint and warm. The food was excellent. The portions were perfect, not huge, not invisible.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMsat in a bright and sunnysat in a bright and sunny lounge/bar area, great wine and beet salad. perfect afternoon3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a fabulous meal atWe had a fabulous meal at Sel de la Terre. Not ones to treat ourselves to dinner at a mall restaurant, we found our evening at Sel do la Terre to be a wonderful treat. The ambiance and service were fabulous. I have a number of food allergies and found the wait staff and chef superbly helpful in creating a wonderful meal that worked for me. I had been to the restaurant for a business meal once and enjoyed it, and after this memorable evening, we would return again!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThe salads were deliciousThe salads were delicious and the duck confit special was a great surprise. The portion was generous, and the meat was so tender that I ate every little bit on the plate. As a French expat, I often find the duck confit too dry, but the one I had at Sel de La Terre was the best I've had in the US yet. The desserts were to die for as well--I highly recommend the burnt sugar ice cream, it was thick and creamy and tasted like dark caramel.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother wonderful dinner.Another wonderful dinner. All four of us enjoyed everything about the meal. A great night out!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Local Restaurant!Althought the menu is not extensive, the food is always delicious! We generally choose salads and entrees. Each item is very good, showcasing different flavors that compliment each other. The Rosemary Pommes Frites are also an item we always order. Our waiter was friendly but also very professional. In addition, we were late getting to the restaurant. I called on the way as we were stuck in Rte 9 traffic. The restaurant was very accommodating and promised to hold our reservation until we arrived, which took the pressure off of us during Friday night rushhour traffic.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
