Diner Reviews
  • "They have an extensive menu of rolls and sushi and sashimi and noodle bowls. Not too authentic in atmosphere but the sushi is marvelous."

  • "Just an incredible dining experience! The freshness of the fish was delicious. The presentation was a feast for the eyes."

  • "The garlic-lime edamame, nigiri grand selection and yaki maki roll we had were great! The tempura was just okay. Service was attentive."

  • "My son loves sushi - really sashimi. He is very particular about freshness and quality of the fish. The selection was limited and the fish was OK. He said that he loves the noodle bowls, but would not order sushi here again. The ambience is very nice. The server was good. One member of our party ordered a noodle bowl with pork. The kitchen left the pork out of it. When this was brought to their attention, they brought the missing pork out on the side. It was a very small portion size. The manager graciously took the noodle bowl off our tab without us asking. Overall, a nice evening. Not somewhere I would seek out again, but I would go if someone else suggested it."

  • "We decided to try Seito for my husband's birthday and it was AMAZING. The sushi was the best we have ever had, and we have been to a lot of sushi restaurants. My husband said his cocktail was the best he had ever had also. The staff was so friendly even after we got stuck in traffic and were a half hour late for our reservation. Dessert was complimentary because of my husbands birthday- tempura cheesecake and ice cream. It was so good. This place exceeded our expectations in every way and we will definitely be back. I'm so glad Seito helped make my husband's birthday a special one!"

  • "Why did they change their menu? The roll menus changed with many items that we were use to gone. The new combinations were ok and large portions but the price reflected it. It took a long time for them to be served. My meal included miso soup which was room temperature but not overly salty. I would have preferred it hotter but it was ok considering what happened with my meal. I order bolgogi beef. It arrived on a sizzling platter with a bowl of sticky rice. The beef was impossible to eat as it continued to sizzle and cook until my dinner guest finished his 3 rolls. I never could eat it. I asked for it to be packed to go."

  • "I had a party of 5 for Valentine's Day. Our server was very rude, never came to check on us. We had to go to the bar to order more drinks. Even the guy who brought out our food was rude. We go to the Seito in Celebration all the time, they have impeccable service. This was our first time visiting the Turkey Lake location and definitely the last."

  • "We dine at Seito often. We are Canadian and started coming down to this area last year and it was our favorite restaurant. We have now bought a home down here. Seito is still our favorite restaurant. Sometimes the service is slow but the food never disappoints. We love the happy hour selections and always try to take advantage of this (so we can order more ;-) )"

  • "Seito Sushi has always been one of our favorites and Saturday's visit was as good as we remembered. Friendly attentive service , a manager visit and delicious food made it a great night and a great visit. We will continue choose Seito for our sushi meals."

  • "My family and I were on vacation to Orlando and saw this place after going to Whole Foods. I'm a sushi fan, and this place looked like a good option for a birthday dinner. It turns out we were right. We even got there during happy hour so we got a few bucks off a bottle of wine and a bottle of sake for me. I had sushi (of course), and it was great. I had the ultimate spicy tuna and the hadouken rolls; both were outstanding. I made a noise after the first bite of the ultimate spicy tuna - it was that good. My daughter (10) had the udon bowl and it was great. Probably the best udon I've ever had. My wife had the Bulgogi; her mom had the chicken teriyaki (not sushi fans) that were both quite tasty. Overall a great experience."

  • "All of there sushi was amazing. The pear martini was to die for. Every chance I am in Orlando, I always always always go here. It is so delicious. The reason my overall wasn't 5 stars was because of a little mishap. We ordered the spicy spicy tuna roll, and the tuna you could tell was just old. It was extremely fishy tasting, I was so disappointed because Spicy Tuna is my favorite but we sent it back and ordered something else. They were extremely apologetic, and fixed it and everything was good!"

  • "We ordered 1 sushi roll, 2 miso soups, a salad hoping it would be quick. It took over an hour to get our order. We had reservations. The waiter avoided us instead of dealing with the problem. Did not try to make it right."

  • "We made reservations for Valentine's day, the place is nice but somewhat small. however the food is great. We ordered the BBQ calamari and the small beef ribs as apps, then the teriyaki chicken and soft shell crab rolls as our entrée. followed by some purple haze Saki. Everything was fantastic. We will be visiting them again soon!"

  • "I decided to try a new Japanese Restaurant for Valentine's Day, and I am glad I chose Seito Sushi. We got a very late dinner reservation, (10pm) which I loved. Once we got there, the service was excellent. The server was very knowledgeable about wines which was good, because my date is a wine expert, and chose a great wine, was presented and served perfectly, and the sushi rolls we ate were absolutely delicious. Needless to say, we will be going back very soon."

  • "Great place for sushi in Orlando. Modern ambiance, doesn't feel like your typical sushi place. Food was fantastic. The sashimi grand sampler was amazing! The fish was extremely fresh and included some rarities as well. Only 2 minor complaints, they didn't have the first wine we ordered (but offered a nice substitute) and the area we sat in was very dark making the menu hard to read. Our service was top notch though and the food far outweighed the minuses."

  • "Small space + confused hostesses = being sat 30 min late at a bad table. Had four different servers, our first was frantic and uninvolved. Then barely saw others. Food is always good, just was overshadowed by bad service, and when it comes to sushi, the show of dining is part of eating."

  • "The sitting hostess was very friendly. The waitress was very rude. we had been waiting for 45 min for a table, so we were seated at 9:50 pm. We had just sat down, there came the waitress with rushing attitude saying that we all need to place our order right away ( drinks and food appetizers or anything we need in 2 minutes) as the kitchen is closing in 5 minutes. I just could not get over the way she said that either. We just asked the manager to switch waitress, this latter was far better than the first. Lesson learned: BIG Mistake going there!! I am sorry, but if you are seating guest late, the kitchen needs to stay open late!!"

  • "Seito is far and away one of the best, if not the best, sushi restaurants in Orlando. In the case of the sashimi, instead of the usual thin sushi sliced fish portion, Sieto serves chunks of tuna. salmon, etc. The deluxe version is a bit pricey, but well worth it. It can include a large helping of salmon roe or sea urchin, both exquisite. The service is also first rate. The server was friendly, professional and very attentive. The Happy Hour features a number of cocktails and for $4 a large bottle of sake. All in all, an excellent dining experience, one I hope to repeat soon and often."

  • "We came here to celebrate my Fiance's birthday and the food and service was great. The tuna kabachi is our absolute favorite menu item! The quality and silky texture of the tuna is heaven on a chopstick. I brought a cake and candles and the server did and awesome job! He walked to the table with the candles nicely lit and "Happy Birthday" was delicately written in raspberry sauce around our cake. We really appreciated the extra effort he put in to make our dinner special."

  • "The menu included many interesting choices. We tried some tools that none of us had eaten before and they were all delicious. Our server was wonderful. She answered all of our questions and made several good recommendations. The restaurant is beautiful as well."

  • "It is hard to find good sushi, good Chinese, and good Korean food in east Orlando. Seito is, so far, the best we've found for sushi. Rolls are varied and fish always seems fresh. Prices are a bit high, but with no other really good options aside from heading out of town, this is our go to place when craving sushi."

  • "We picked this restaurant based on reviews in an Orlando paper making one of the best Japanese restaurants in the city. Food was mediocre, sushi took 45 min to come out when the restaurant was more than half empty, service was okay."
    Dined on 1/11/2014
  • "The menu is now too far out in left field now for our taste. Management is catering too much towards the tourists wallet rather than the local supporters palates. Not always the best recipe for sustainability."

  • "Great selection of the top Asian dishes served up in a classy atmosphere."

  • "First time at Seito sushi and it had now become our favorite sushi go-to. Fish was very fresh and the rolls were quite innovative. Pricing was quite reasonable and all the rolls we ordered had 8 pieces. Would most definitely recommend to friends."

  • "I am not here as often as I would like to be: I gap a couple of months between visits, but they remember me! The service is friendly, professional, and perfectly attentive. Make sure you chat with your server and ask if there are any chef's specials, and you will quite probably get a yummy treat. Also, if you like hamachi-kama, ask for it as you're seated and ORDER IMMEDIATELY if the hama-kama is available; there are only limited (VERY limited!) hama-kamas available, and you want to grab one before anyone else does. This most recent visit, our party grabbed the one-and-only hama-kama and were able to introduce it to family for the first time to some of them - and they LOVED it!"

  • "Food was phenomenal! Service was decent only complaint was where we were sat. I had made a reservation for my boyfriend and I and they stuck us at a high booth in between two other couples. We did ask to move and they made the arrangements however the restaurant was not busy and we were on a date which we don't get to do very often. I don't think making a reservation for here made any difference where they seat you."

  • "We spend à very Nice evening celebrating our daughter's Bday. Everyone was extremely nice from receptionist to waitress. Service was great, delicate but not too heavy. They gave her a nice Bday cake with a cute presentation even if they aloud us to bring our own cake. I will and I have already recommended this restaurant."

  • "This would have been a perfect dinner yet it turned out to be a nightmare. With reservation, had to wait for table. Once seated ordered drinks and appetizers, 30 minutes later nothing! waiter was nowhere to be found! The food is good but you must be patient..."

  • "The food was ok but nothing special. What we disliked most was the ambience at the place and the clientele. Clientele was very mixed, mostly older. This is hardly a hip place to hang out. You rather get the impression that they try to be but do not succeed. Dont think we will be back. I would not recommend the place for a special occasion for sure."

  • "Raw fish was not the freshest in my option, and I eat a lot of sushi at high end restaurants. Service was very poor this day. I ate at the sushi bar and the server had to walk by many times, but was not very observant in refilling drinks. I actually had indigestion after the meal. If you go, eat cooked fish, not raw like I did."
