"This restaurant was excellent and I cannot speak highly enough of it! I took my wife here for cocktails and appetizers before heading over to our dinner reservations at Oya and I regret not trusting my instincts to stay at SEI. The food was amazing and creativity in the menu had me wanting to try soo much more than I was able to. The menu was small for those that are unaccustomed to niche dining but still large and robust for being a niche kind of place. The decor was excellent (a lot of white and a low light atmosphere) and the service was the best I've had in a long time. Our waiter was so good that I was looking forward to leaving his tip. Top notch restaurant that should be at the top of your "Go to" list!"

"This was a great choice for us. The menu is quite diverse and we had a really good time. Our server was great and made the experience really nice. I know we'll be back when ever we have a show in that area. For eating out in DC the price was pretty good too."

"SEI came highly recommended from several friends. Ambience - decor and lighting were very good. Good dishes, the fish and chips were tasty and more inventive than the name sounded. I also had the Lamb Okki Sara which was outstanding."

"We went for sushi before the theater. It was just excellent. Fresh, tender and flavorful. The presentation was eye catching. The Sushi rolls were handsomely constructed and imaginatively devised with different flavors and textures. The miso soup was also well balanced. The restaurant is very handsome - all variations of white, beautifully lit, very stylish. A vibrant bar scene. My only two complaints are that the tables are too wide to have an intimate conversation across the table with your dining partner. I had to move over to her side of the table between courses to be able to speak quietly. And the noise factor was intrusive. The back of the restaurant is a bit quieter but puts you outside the "scene.""
