A word from Segafredo - Somi
Introducing Segafredo South Miami, the new southernmost outpost of the popular coffeehouse/cocktail lounge empire, now open off Sunset Drive. Basically, it"s everything you love about the Segafredos on Brickell and South Beach, moved southward: the same neo-Victorian velvet couches, the same low tables, the same buzzing bar scenes. Only this one's equipped with full-service lunch and dinner, and it's open till 4am on weekends (so you can think of it as Segafredo in Full). Early in the day, you'll use it as a traditional coffeehouse, a place to sip an espresso and read the newspaper from an antique love seat on the outdoor patio. But by late afternoon, you can expect the place to get a bit more raucous, and you and your caffeine-mate will want to keep up with an Italian Coffee (espresso, Amaretto, Kahlua, whipped cream) and thin-crust pies like the Pesto Pizza.Continued

  • "Busy coffee shop / local bar. Really didn't need a 6:30pm reservation, because the place was empty. However, the food happened to be really good. We ate there before going to the movies at Sunset Place. I bet this place would be hopping with the "what to do after a movie, when it's too early to go home!" have a yummy cappucinno!"

  • "We had an awful experience on Mothers Day. To start off, we made reservations for 8 & were seated in a couch with 2 chairs with a coffee table. We didn't fit so requested a few tables since it was impossible to fit 8 for lunch at a coffee table. FOOD: we waited for 2 hours for pizza and pasta. Apparently they were changing shifts & they had to go to a warehouse nearby to pick up the food. Our kids kids were starving with nothing to eat. After 2 hours, the pizza they ordered broke in the oven and we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for chicken fingers/fries. When we received the bill, we were even charged for the chicken fingers and requested that be removed since they took almost 2 1/2 hours at this point to serve pizza and pasta."
