SeersuckerGreat food. Great ambiance.Great restaurant. Fantastic food, excellent service and wonderful ambiance. The fried chicken was fantastic and both my kids loved it. The duck was succulent and juicy. The scallops buttery and cooked to perfection. The food has so much flavor and is rich that I couldn't finish my dinner portion. We had the collards for an appetizer and my husband who isn't big on the leafy greens oohed and aahed over it. Very well prepared and seasoned. The only disappointment was the dessert menu. As an added bonus, they always have fantastic music playing. Service is OUTSTANDING--Attentive without being in your face.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday Dinner with friendsI took my husband and a few friends here for a Birthday dinner. As always, the food was excellent and the service friendly. Service was a little slow compared to their very efficient brunch service, which is what I'm used to, but it's possible they were understaffed. Either way, they were very accommodating for our group of 5 and even had a little birthday dessert with a candle for my husband. I didn't even have to request it--all I had mentioned was that is was his birthday. Cocktails are tasty and staff are knowledgable. Seersucker never disappoints!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMSouthern Made ModernI recently went to Seersucker after reading a great review of the restaurant in The New York Times. Having learned to cook from my Southern grandmother, as soon as I heard grits were on the menu, I rounded up some other Southern friends, and booked a table. The food exceeded all of our expectations. While Southern food has a tendency to be a little greasy & heavy, the food at Seersucker was light, multi-dimenstional and perfectly seasoned. Service too was homey but refined. Wine stewart had great recommendations and service staff knowledgeable about every dish. The only disappointment was the dessert, which missed the mark, but Seersucker is one I'll recommend to others.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFamily BrunchWe all had a wonderful brunch. The food was fresh and served hot and in a timely fashion. We had 2 young children who enjoyed their food as well.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat BrunchSeersucker is one of our favorite spots for brunch. The menu has selections we like and the food is good. Everything is presented well and the service is attentive. And the coffee is great.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner, neighborhood fav!Nice atmosphere and the food and staff are always solid5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMMy Brooklyn favoriteOriginal menu that never tries too hard. And they take reservations, which is rare in Brooklyn.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMSuch a great neighborhoodSuch a great neighborhood spot! The staff was excellent and the food was delicious.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was outstanding. The food was outstanding. I had a delicious bowl of heirloom tomato soup with grilled cheese. The grilled cheese wasn't anything special, but the tomato soup more than made up for it. I also had a glass of ginger lime soda, which was delicious. My husband had the angus burger with a spicy mayo and bacon jam. He said it was really good. Our friends had the Quinoa Salad and Pork Dip. They gave both dishes rave reviews.
The service was also excellent. We were seated quickly. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was served in an appropriate amount of time.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful pick for bday dinnerWe had a great night at Seersucker. We ordered a variety of plates - biscuits and the ham plates to start; pork, fried chicken, duck as entrees - and all was incredible! The service was excellent - very attentive and friendly - too, which is hard to find in a lot of restaurants at this price point. They brought us wine while we waited for our table to be ready (not too long but there was a group finishing up when we arrived) and were attentive the whole night. They also brought us delicious soup samples from the chef. It was my birthday and they did one of the desserts with a candle, all super lovely. Will definitely go back and recommend to friends!!
Beautiful space, intimate (though we had 6 and it was fine), not too loud.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food, not the usualDelicious food, not the usual fare. Pepper ricotta dumplings, light tasty biscuits, great cat fish and yummy diver scallops.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent tasty food. NeedExcellent tasty food. Need more moderately priced bottles of wine.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA happening place in CobbleA happening place in Cobble Hill. Great service, fancied up Southern fare. Tasty fried chicken and mashed potatoes, lovely duck breast with beans. Two minor suggestions-- too salty green salad and what's with the new trend of no ice in the cocktails? But all in all, a really fun evening.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWent for Brunch. Food wasWent for Brunch. Food was very good. The Vietnamese Fried Chicken Salad was very as was the Chili and the Fried Chicken Entree. Dessert (Rice Pudding) was absolutely great!! Service was friendly and professional although the bartender was a bit slow with our two Yankee cocktails. Overall, Seersucker provided us with a lovely brunch. It's our go-to destination in this area.1/6/2013 12:00:00 AMgood southern foodyummy mac and cheese. small restaurant, good solid small plates. service knowledgeable and efficient.9/5/2012 12:00:00 AM
