Seed Kitchen & BarGreat meal!Fantastic meal. We shared an order of the corn grit fritters with jalopena jelly. These had a perfectly cooked crunchy outside with a tender inside and the jelly (more like a sauce) was a perfect blend of spicy and sweet. I hade the roasted chicken special over a small pasta. The favors were delicious and the meal served hot. My ife ordered a salad.....what can I say?
Desert was the Tres Leche which well also shared.

There was quite a bit of noise - we asked to sit outside after first being seated indoors, but every time the doors opened we still heard how noisy it was inside.

The restaurant was crowded, and I could barely make out the waiter as he described the menu items. I have a hearing problem, but my wife, who has excellent hearing, also had to ask the waiter to repeat items.
The food was excellent, the wine was pricey, compared to other restaurants ($10-11 a glass, compared to $7-8).
I would probably try it for brunch - the menu looks competitively priced. For dinner, it would not be my first choice, but I might try eating outside.
Wait staff and service reflect training, and management was visible and active. I felt that we received attention and glasses of water were refilled, Managers brought food and also removed plates.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMMost Amazing Dining ExperienceI have to say Seed has quickly become one of my favorite places to dine in Atlanta. My wife and I make the drive from Alpharetta(since there is nothing there to choose from) and it has been worth it every time. Service is fantastic and friendly with a staff that is professional and well trained. Other restaurants should come in, eat and take notes. Food is amazing and has changed since our last visit to reflect the season. Wine list has also changed along with the cocktail and beer list to reflect the season. It just shows that these guys really care and take so much pride in what they do. Can't wait for their new wine bar Stem to open in July. It's exactly what Atlanta needs. Expect it to be loud if the place is crowded. This is because the tables are tightly packed. There is maybe a 2 foot space between tables. You can hear everybody's conversations.
I am not sure of the dress code. It states "Smart casual". This restaurant takes the whole restaurant experience to a whole new level. I know it is a cliche, but I cannot say enough about this way Seed performs as a restaurant. There is something to be said when they take extra pride in their cocktails, which are absolutely amazing. (and I'm a beer kinda guy) The portions are the right size and delicious. No dressing up the plate nonsense you get from other ritzy restaurants. The price matches the amount of food. The flavors are excellent. We had the skillet cookie which was also delicious. My husband had the excellent special of filet mignon, very tender and flavorful. I had the scallops which were prepared exactly correctly. The salad special was mixed greens with strawberries, almonds and goat cheese with a wonderful balsamic dressing. Delicious! The wines are a little expensive but a bottle of white bordeaux was just right for us. Our server was attentive and knowledgable. There was a 3 course price fix brunch. The initial course took a bit long to come out, but the remaining courses came out timely. There were a few mistakes (bacon instead of sausage), but they were corrected quickly. My only disappointment was dessert. I ordered the ice cream sandwich. The ice cream was very melted so it was very difficult to eat. Half of the ice cream was too melted to eat. I did not mention it to the server as I was pretty full at that point and we needed to go. And, these finicky foodies were not disappointed. Everything about Seed is wonderful including the value provided and we often forget that but my British friends reminded me of it.
