This was my second time here and I'm glad I went back! Jefferson is an amazing chef and we were happy to find him after loving his food at fraiche long ago! Both times I've had the 10 course meal and I find the portion sizes perfect! I highly recommend you try it if you haven't already!

We dined with a group of 8 and had made reservations ahead of time. We went with the set menu to ease the load for the restaurant and the service was still very slow, the portions were tiny and the food was mediocre at best. Will never return.

I have fell in love with Secret Location last year when I tried it, and it has been like that every time I returned! The quality of the service is amazing, the quality of the food is out off this world! It is creative, refined .. An explosion of favors in your mouth that you cannot forget! I am originally form Montreal, which tends to make me picky about the quality of the food. 5 stars all the way every time I go! Thank you!!!

Me and my family went for brunch on a Sunday morning and was really surprised the place was quite empty. Got a feeling people have a false impression the food was too pricey but in fact it is same as majority of the weekend brunch places. Prime location in Gastown with nice view and we really loved the deco. Service is good absolutely no complain whatsoever. The cocktail list especially for the variety of Mimosa was spectacular and three of us each enjoyed a different kind of Mimosa. For the food we ordered the Lobster hash and the BISON STEAK AND EGGS. Both are wonderful. We also got a complimentary fresh pastry as starter and was equally good. We will definitely be back.

Very nicely paced courses, excellent wines. Staff makes it work well. Like the gastown area, this spot is a sort of modernist white on white decor I would normally pass by, but we enjoyed the evening very much.

My 18-year-old daughter and I (from California) had been at Secret Location two years ago, probably very soon after it opened. When we were back in Vancouver this time, we wanted to see if it was still there. It was, and although the dinner menu was too expensive for us, one of the staff suggested we try Sunday brunch as an alternative. We did, and it was great. We sat outside on a beautiful day, which allowed us to enjoy the good food and see the Water Street passersby. The food and service were excellent.

This a great restaurant and they had a really attractive cooking style. They provide 3 types testing menue for choosing. This is a typical European Fusion Resturant. Beautiful and fancy design about their decoration and food. I just could not understand why there is not so much customer come to here. It is little expensive, but acceptable, because their service and food is extremely great. It is so weird that do not have so much customer come to this restaurant!

We came here on Father's Day for brunch. It's the first time we came here. My husband ordered Crepes and the presentation looked awesome. I ordered Bison and Eggs. The bison cooked to my liking and it tasted great. The eggs were a little charred on the edges. Harsh brown was on the oily side. My 6-year old son said the croissant was "yummy". I personally like the ambience and the service. I will go back in the future for dinner as this was what my friend recommended for. I wonder if the quality of food will be different between brunch and dinner.

Gorgeous décor and great location. Strange that we were seated near the back when the restaurant was almost empty and not even offered the patio when completely empty. The amuse-bouche was excellent as well as the coffee and cronut. The eggs were not for amateurs and when we requested them be re-cooked, the replacement was identical.

I was initially surprised because the dinner menu was prix fixe and pricier than I expected, but it was completely worth it. The food was very nicely presented and was super tasty. The service was also very good, I read some other reviews that weren't impressed with service, so maybe they have changed staff?

This restaurant just misses. We were the only patrons at 12:30 pm on a Friday. JUST US! The service is... very strange. The music was loud with a heavy beat and though it was changed twice for us, it didn't get any better. Food was incredible so it really is too bad.

I came here for Brunch with my girlfriend and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! I rarely give more tip than I have to, but I did this time because the waiter was so nice! The ambience was really nice for Brunch. The waiter gave us some Carrot Fritters to start with Vanilla Mascarpone. It was delicious! There was some hiccups however, as due to the construction next door, the fire alarm got set off. But the waiters were quick witted to use towels to "silence" the fire alarms and had at least two different waiters come and apologize for the noise. Oh and did I mention the receptionist was really nice when I came in. She took my jacket and smiled the whole time! After the Fritters I had the Steak and Eggs. It was really good.

Two of us ordered the brussel sprout with pastrami hash. There were just a few brussel sprout leafs and the pastrami was like rubber. Our eggs still had some clear geltin on them. Were definately not cooked enough. They offered to order something else. My daughter did, I rejected offfer and just ordered some toast. Very disappointing. Had been there last Mother's Day for Brunch and it was great.

Our dinner was very good, we had the 10 course set menu that was the only option- although we only got 9 courses of food. It was 200 dollars including wine tasting and I think that was very over-priced for the amount of wine and food we actually received. The quality of the food and wine were very good, but the price was way too much. Would go there again to try food off their regular menu

We (party of 7) had a great time at the restaurant. We were all served an "amuse-bouche" which got the night of to a wonderful start. I had the foie gras, and it was a completely different and interesting take on the dish, followed by the chef's creation, ostrich with an delectable sauce. There was a novel caviar and barnacle starter which my daughter quite liked, and the 2 fish dishes were done to perfection. Everyone loved their dishes, although the elk was not as tender as hoped. The portions were just the right size for us, in that we left the table feeling well fed but not stuffed. And the service was spot on. Will definitely come back to this "Secret Location".

The space is beautiful. The waiter was friendly and pleasant. But it was a special occasion for a member of our party. He got her order wrong; he forgot my order; the special guest requested something simple that probably should have been included in her meal and that simple thing took time to arrive. And then we were charged for it. I'd notified in advance this was a birthday and thought given that, the service could have been a bit prompter and more "special." I also think there should be wheelchair-accessible parking close by for patrons like the birthday person, who can hardly walk. Also the acoustics are terrible in the place; you can hear every word of the guests beside you and the music is loud. But a lovely space.

I would like to start off by thanking our wonderful server Stefano, knowledgeable and so pleasant. Hostess at the door was attentive, took our coats and it was a great first expression of the restaurant. We were sat at the front table and comfortable loveseat. My view was out, to the corner of Water and Carrall street filled with lights which added even more to the vibe of the place. Decor is beautiful, from the front door all the way to the washrooms, reminds me of European lounges/restaurants. The menu was outstanding, I had scallops and the rest of my family were having sturgeon, which was very delicious. I will definitely be back, I'm interested to try their brunch menu. Thank you for a wonderful time.

This restaurant is a brilliant shining gem. The only thing that concerned us was that there were not enough other diners enjoying the incredible food and service. This is really interesting dining: a well edited menu (with some things I hadn't seen for a while - like perfectly cooked ostrich) and amusing and knowledgeable servers. It may look too bright and empty from outside but go through those doors; you won't be disappointed. And the rain soaked rustic cobblestones and Gassy Jack look great from inside!
